Emma’s Cottage was carefully restored, renovated, and decorated in loving memory of my grandmother, Ms. Emma L. Gould, who was simply known to me as Grandma. Every thought and detail was done with her in my mind. Her kind heart and hospitality is what made her so special.

This was our second stay at Emma’s Cottage, and it was every bit as perfect as the first. The house is immaculately clean—every room feels fresh, bright, and welcoming. It’s clear that a great deal of care goes into keeping this property in flawless condition.The décor is beautiful, and the cottage has everything you could possibly need: comfortable furnishings, high-quality linens, a fully equipped kitchen, and countless thoughtful touches that make it feel like home from the moment you walk in. Delicious, fresh-made doughnuts from a local bakery were waiting for us when we arrived.The host’s hospitality is truly second to none. Before our arrival, we received the entry instructions along with a warm welcome note inviting us to reach out if we needed anything at all. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely attentive and dedicated to their guests’ comfort.We can’t recommend Emma’s Cottage highly enough—if you’re visiting Montgomery, this is the place to stay. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Emma's Cottage is absolutely beautiful! We loved our 2 night stay for a football game in town. We loved the cottage decor and layout! Host was fabulous and so kind! Highly reccomend!

Emma’s Cottage was the best. It was clean and quiet and so nicely put together. The beds were comfortable. And it was walking distance to good food and sites. We went to visit the Legacy sites and this was the perfect location. I would stay here again

Nice Place:)

Cute, very clean cottage. Close to downtown and Maxwell AFB. The neighborhood was nice and seemed like a safe area. The beds were comfortable but the sofa bed wasn't the best.We liked having the washer and dryer and will definitely stay there again if we ever needed to come back to town. Towanda was a great host!

Great stay

It was a great experience. Nice neighborhood. The host was great. They had bottles of water in the refrigerator for us and cupcakes on the dining room table. The house was beautiful inside and outside. My wife has already said the next time we come to Montgomery we are going to try and get the same place. She wasn't ready to leave.

Cozy and adorable

What a great experience! We had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, towels were fluffy, and the house has such charm and has been lovingly renovated. So many unique touches. The neighborhood is beautiful, lots of old historic homes. We appreciated Apple TV. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful quiet cottage

We loved our stop over in Emma’s cottage. It was so quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfy. There were fresh flowers and donuts waiting for us. It is precious to read about Emma’s life in the home. I just felt safe and calm there. We are porch people, so we loved the swing in front. We ate downtown, which was very close. You could walk. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing with our family.

Great house, great story, such a tribute!

Emma's cottage is wonderful. Excellent neighborhood, beautiful house, perfect communication. The owner had lights on, waters in fridge, and doughnuts. Conveniently located near downtown. Close to everything we were going to. We will be back to Montgomery & Emm's cottage will be the only place we look for!

Just what we needed

Emma’s Cottage was exactly what my dad, brother and I needed as we were passing through on our way to Florida. We were only there for 10 hours, but Towanda provided a clean place on a quiet street for us. Communication was great and check-in was a breeze. The complimentary doughnuts were a nice touch as well. Perfect for a family passing through

My husband and I and our 3 small Boys were passing through for an evening, and this was a perfect little place to tuck away for the night before we went on our way. Towanda had local from-scratch bakery cupcakes waiting for us, the fans on, and a list of local food recommendations for us. Lots of loving and sweet touches to make us feel at home!

A perfect Montgomery rental

Beautiful cottage in a lovely, quiet neighborhood walking distance to downtown and Legacy sites. Clean, well appointed, has everything you need and more. A truly pleasant experience. I will seek out this rental on future trips.

Loved Everything About The Place!

Everything about our stay was first class. The owners were terrific.... so easy to deal with, very responsive during the booking process. The house is amazing! One of the cleanest and most nicely appointed VRBO rentals we've ever seen. The neighborhood so quaint and close to restaurants and points of interest in Montgomery. We could not have asked for a nicer vacation.

Emma's Cottage was just delightful. It felt so good we wanted to stay a few more nights. The accommodations were excellent. The furnishings were wonderful. The property was well cared for with little details of comfort taken care of. Coffee maker, cream, bottled water...just extras were really exceptional. I recommend this to anyone.

Overnight visit to Montgomery

This lovingly renovated cottage was perfect for our trip to visit the Legacy Museum and the Memorial to Peace and Justice (the latter is literally around the corner from this home). The house is spotlessly clean, very cozy, and has two newly renovated bathrooms which made it super comfortable for two couples to share. The host sent great recommendations ahead of our visit, and we loved the hilltop location.

Perfect!

Absolutely adorable place! So nice to walk in with the candles and fresh roses! The he is spotless and still has it old characters. The street is so quiet and the location was great to downtown and the legacy museum. Will definitely be back! Oh, and I loved Ms. Emma’s story and pictures!

This place was even better than the online listing. The host was generous and informative. Great location. Super clean. Felt like we had been pampered by Grandma Emma herself. Super close to museums and restaurants. Can't wait for a reason to return.

The home was cozy and inviting in a quiet neighborhood. There was plenty of space for the kids to spread out and relax after being stuck in the car all day. My husband would have preferred if the bedroom doors locked.

I chose this neighborhood because of the quiet friendly atmosphere. The House is so close to downtown Montgomery you can literally walk to local restaurants and bars! Also it's only steps away from the Museums!

This Property is unique to me because of the family and safe atmosphere that is absolutely how my Grandma's house was when I was growing up!
