Worse place ever stayed in

The area is not safe , the host is very rude.. no towels , no tissues .. the AC in the apartment don’t work .. I will never recommend anyone to stay or even pay for the place .. it’s the worst place I ever stayed in .. I just wasted money booking that apartment .. level of communication is so poor

New York trip

First I will say the house is clean and a nice size as we booked this last minute. The house has a distinct smell to it as the people who live downstairs cook some distinctive things. (They must be the owners) so if you’re looking for privacy don’t book because they watch you come in and out of the house. Saturday night my phone mysteriously came up missing out of the car but the owners said nobody never broke into the car due to the security system: my phone pinged across the street in the cemetery then soon as we checked out my iPhone 15 pro max started pinging down the street. Not saying they stole it but quite a coincidence. Overall house was nice but I like privacy when I’m on vacation.

unsafe, dirty, and poor condition

We are a family with young children. We have used VRBO many times without issue until this stay. There are two significant safety issues with the hot water. The hot and cold water is switched. Also, there is clearly no hot water temperature regulator because I burned my hand on scalding hot water. We were terrified of our children getting burned. The property is dirty and in a state of disrepair. The smoke detector was beeping. The drywall is in poor condition with poorly done patches and a ceiling water leak. There are many broken items - towel racks, toilet paper holder, safety gate at the top of the interior steps, doorknobs, falling apart beds, light bulbs, a dining table with no chairs (??). The bedding was the cheapest possible "quality" and the towels were Walmart brand. The sheets had hair on them and did not fit the beds properly so they pulled up constantly, adding to the discomfort factor. You only get one measly flat pillow per person. The house is on a busy street; the street noise kept us all up all night long. The refrigerator/freezer had stuck on food. The neighborhood and town did not feel safe either. When we attempted to address these concerns with the owner, we received no apologies but instead the owner chose to argue with us and offered no resolution. We forfeited a lot of money for this stay plus spent several hundred more dollars on a new hotel, just to get out of this place.

Very nice place. Very convenient to get to NY and Nj cities. Free street Parking, had a great weekend stay there for my Wife birthday. The place is very comfortable, Spotless and also the kitchen had everything to cook and also plates for us to eat. Would DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN!!! Thank you For having Us .
