219 Breakers

The mattress was like sleeping on plywood. Other than that, which is a very easy fix, was very satisfactory. The shower leaks by the toilet also. Better get that taken care of fast before major issues arise.

Nice complex, condo not so clean

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The complex is in a great spot right on the beach. The condo was very dated have not upgraded in quite awhile. The cleanliness of 219 was not up to standers and had not been deep cleaned in I don't know how long. The couch in particular smelled horrible and you can tell they had not dusted the place by looking at the ceiling fans packed with dust so much ir started to accumulate on the pop corn ceiling above it.I would not be renting 219 again.

Nice Condo but still disappointed

Walking into the condo I thought it was one of the more attractive condos we’ve stayed in at The Breakers. However after being there for a short while I noticed how dirty the floors were a good inch away from the baseboards … I mean REALLY DIRTY! The toilet paper holder is also pulling out of the wall. For the most part we enjoyed the condo. Obviously this unit is owned only for rental purposes and not for the owner to use., otherwise it would be kept better.

Nice place for 2 people, great location

My husband and I visited Hilton Head for a golf vacation, this property was very nice. Great location, walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Plenty room for 2 (bathroom very small), I wouldn’t recommend any more than 2 people stay in this size unit.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Breakers many times and this unit was by far the worst condition of any we have seen. The deck is rotting in spots, the deck door is too heavy to open without major effort, the AC worked only marginally well and the entire condo smells like a damp basement. We had to wash everything when we got home because the smell was in all of our clothes. This unit has strange wiring run to the TVs where they have used two permanent extension cords which should be considered a fire hazard. One of the outlets didn’t work at all. This unit needs some work if the owners expect to continue collecting such a premium rental charge.

Quick getaway

We have been coming to South Forest Beach for nearly two decades, but this is the first time we have stayed at Breakers. The location is great, within walking distance to anything you need and on the beach. The building has new elevators which was nice. The condo itself has nice ocean and pool views. I was pleasantly surprised that the pool was actually heated and people were in the water the end of March. The inside of the condo is dated and needs some updating and electrical work. The kitchen has enough dishes for a couple or small family. There were a couple of items brought to management's attention that hopefully are addressed but nothing that would make us leave. The bed is firm but still comfortable even though I prefer a softer mattress. You have to wear shoes or slippers because your feet turn black from the floors. Two things to mention; the tv is not a smart tv and there is no oven in this unit. We might stay at Breakers again but probably not this unit. The management team was fantastic and very responsive.

don't stay in this unit!! RUN!

the pictures online were nothing like what is reality. It showed twin beds, but had none. at 57 and 75 years old, we slept on the floor. the unit was so dirty when we arrived! we swept up 3 dust pans full of dirt and sand. the tub looks like it hasn't been cleaned in YEARS!! stained and dirty!! disgusting! most miserable trip we've ever taken!

Great experience

I grew up staying in the breakers and had a great time going back after all these years. Condo was clean and the perfect place to spend a long weekend.

It was good

It was a good trip. Location is convenient to restaurants and shopping but also by a public beach access so the beach is busy in that area. The condo is very small which was fine since we didn’t spend a lot of time in there. the check in process was good and the place was clean. My only complaint is that there is no oven in the condo. Under the stovetop there is a dishwasher which was odd. Overall it was a good stay

Great stay!!

This condo was great for my husband & me! It was small so I definitely recommend just a couple or a couple and a baby/toddler. It was clean and well equipped for what we needed. The pool/beach were packed everyday but that is to be expected given the holiday week. I have stayed in other condos at the Breakers in the off season and it isn't as crowded. Being across from Coligny is great. We only got in the car 2 days! We would definitely stay in this unit again!

We only got one small toliet paper roll, one garbage bag, one small paper towel roll, one doshwasher load. Nothing for washer and dryer etc. I didn't realize we wouldnt have enough for the week (two adults, two small children) I will know next year to pack my own and it would be no big deal. Great location and great pool area. Overall it was wonderful.

We love this place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd time staying in this unit, and we love it. The unit is small but perfect for one couple. The view is beautiful (looking out over the pool to the ocean), and the location is conveniently close to Coligny Plaza across the road. Although the public beach access is next door, Breakers remains quiet and is not affected. Two elevators have been installed over the last couple of years, which makes it much easier for moving in and out. We will definitely hope to return.

Surprisingly nice

Winter reprieve

After 3 months of our first winter in Michigan after 17 years we needed the sunshine and warmth. Our trip to Hilton Head was just the ticket. Enjoyable walks on the beach in shorts or a swim suit. All the restaurants and activities within walking distance from our condo. A module for next winters getaways

Bed was also uncomfortable needs replacement of mattress. No hooks in bathroom. Handrails in the building were in serious need of cleaning. Pool area was great and location to shopping/dining and beach were great.

T he room at the Breakers was ok but not up to par with other Breaker units that we have stayed in the past. Would give it a three on cleanliness. My wife actually cleaned the tub before we used it . There was exposed wiring at the tvs which was not a problem for us but not kid friendly. The deck seemed like it needed a new floor, did not seem real stable.
