North Conway All-Season Retreat

This 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom newly refurbished home on 2.3 acres abuts a brook & conservation land and is the perfect destination for a White Mountain family ski trip or summer getaway. 6 bedrooms (4 with King beds), including 2 master suites with private bathrooms, sleeps 16 adults. Comfortable furniture, mattresses, & fresh linens. Best game room in town with ping pong, video arcade game with 1,100 games & 65" TV. Living room with gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit, and less than 2 miles to town.

The space
We maintain a 16-adult-guest maximum. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. WE HAVE A GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY. PLEASE FOLLOW the RULES for FIRE PIT SAFETY and CHECK OUT.

You will have private use of the main home including the 3-car garage. Additionally, the home has all furnishings throughout, including linens and new kitchen amenities. We also have 12 smoke/co2 detectors throughout the house.

In between guests, our cleaners clean and disinfect all common surfaces and we replace all pillows and blankets/comforters for a rental cycle to minimize risk of infections. We have also added two large air filters in the living room/kitchen and Game Room.

The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils but we clean out all food items because of the pandemic so bring whatever you need for cooking like spices, oil, condiments, etc. There is a large supermarket about 10 minutes away by car. When you leave, please take any food items with you because everything is discarded by the cleaners.

We have installed a 14-50 outlet in the garage for electric car charging. It is 240 volts and it easily charges cars overnight. In addition, we have a Tesla dedicated charger.

We do not allow smoking or pets. No exceptions, please. Some family members have severe allergic reactions.

There is a small owner’s area in the house with a separate entrance. You will not have access to this area. It will be occupied during your stay by our caretaker as required by local laws. She will not access the house during your stay.

DISCOUNTS-
We offer a 10% discount for rentals of seven nights or longer.

PARKING-
Absolutely no parking on the road. The road and bridge are narrow and your car will be towed if it is parked on the road.

We are about one mile to Mt. Cranmore and less than two miles to North Conway village.

Guest access
Besides a few locked closets, the basement, and the caretaker's area, all of the house is available.

The first floor and wrap-around deck are ramp accessible and the first floor master bedroom suite has a walk-in shower and shower chair. We have accommodated guests with wheelchairs and walkers in the past.

The house has a caretaker's area, with a separate entrance, that will be occupied during your stay. If you have any issues during your stay, the fastest way to reach us is to contact us through the app.

There is a treehouse on the property that has been locked and is not accessible to renters.

Other things to note
Please read our house manual since we have a lot of useful information which you will probably need at some point during your stay. The house manual is available once you have booked.

We have two outdoor nest cameras facing the street and the parking area for security.

The home is located on a small brook with an area damned up downstream. Please supervise young children. We also have a fire pit near the deck which should only be used under adult supervision.

We have several hiking books, trail maps, and nature guides which we ask you to leave for the next guests.

Amazing in all aspects

Probably one of the best run properties we've rented. Well stocked, well organized, super clean. Location's great.Large indoor and outdoor dining area for our large group. The outdoor kitchen is awesome! Lots of space around the house to sit and hang. Enormous playroom and backyard for everyone to enjoy. The hosts were quick to respond before and during the stay. Can't think of one negative during our entire stay.

Great Family House

This beautiful home was perfect for our group of 14 (8 adults and 6 young children). The owners have meticulously arranged the home to be guest friendly with detailed information, instructions and labels readily accessible well as a range of activities from an extensive reading library to a “fun room” as the kids called it with ping pong table, sound system, disco lights, and all kinds of games. Plenty of outdoor space and game equipment as well along with a nice fire pit and large outdoor grill, both of which we made use of. For those with small kids, it’s just 10 minutes from Storyland. We brought a bunch of essentials but didn’t need them as the home had more than enough of everything, from paper towels and plastic cups to coffee for the two coffee machines. Looking forward to going back same time next year.

Absolutely amazing

We traveled with 5 families, with 7 kids ranging from 6m-7yo. This house had something for everyone, pack and plays, games, big enough for everyone to have their own space and more. You didn’t need to worry if you forgot something because odds are it was already there for you. Everything was labeled, easy to find and made the entire vacation stress-free. We couldn’t recommend the house more and the hosts really did think of everything, truly amazing.

Amazing home, all the amenities!

We absolutely loved this house. The house was clean, organized, and so perfect for our large group! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook for a large group. The outdoor space was so nice - we loved eating dinner on the deck, hanging out in the yard and down by the little brook.

Christmas family reunion

Excellent residence: well-stocked kitchen, big meeting/rec room was very popular (group meetings, ping pong, jig saw puzzles). Beds comfortable. Large dining room table was perfect (there was 13 of us). Lots of space for quiet reading and conversation. An overall perfect house.

Two brothers with roots in the community purchased this house in 2019 as a family vacation area and gathering place. After some renovations, we have opened the house for rentals. We visit often to enjoy the walks and scenic beauty and the many activities the area offers. Our best local recommendation, especially for those who find hikes somewhat challenging, is to go up Black Cap, a short car ride away and a very modest incline for the 45 minute to one hour walk/hike to the summit. Black Cap's parking lot is at the top of Hurricane Mountain Road (take a Right on Kearsarge and a Right on Hurricane Mtn Rd) and has nice views. There is a side trail to the top of Cranmore and a lodge with snacks (but you will need to return to Black Cap as hiking down is not allowed.) We don't know the schedule of the lodge but it was open last time we hiked over.

Our home has various mementos of our family's history in the area. Our grandfather started Stonehurt Manor, purchasing it from the Bigelow/Merriman family in the 1940s. We spent many summers at the hotel and in the area with other relatives and are happy to return as adults.

Located near Mt. Cranmore in Intervale, we have easy access to the area without having to drive on the North Conway strip unless you want to! Take your bikes to Cranmore, the scenic overlook and Route 16A, through Town, or over to Echo Lake or the Saco River. Walk to Whitaker Woods or explore the Conservation area and Kearsarge Brook next door. Our home has plenty of hiking and attraction guides and things to do if you decide to take a break and stay indoors. We have a large, well-equipped game room, a sunny deck, broad lawn with volleyball and lawn games, and safe back-street walks and bike routes. Our Rec Room has great speakers and a bar if you want to create some specialty drinks.

We have a beautiful setting, a nice yard for lawn games, and a great location. We are about a mile from Mt. Cranmore and North Conway, and minutes away to the many attractions the White Mountains offers.
