This property is as unique and memorable as you can find. Featuring 3 separate dwellings, hot tub, pool, game room, trout stream and your own fishing pond... this is the perfect retreat to get away from it all with family and/or friends!

Explore the 52 acres and 3100 ft of Mountaintown Creek, known for its award winning trout fishing. We are about 15 minutes from downtown Ellijay.

Please note this is NOT a hotel. There is no staff onsite to clean the pool daily. We have bugs and wildlife. Internet is slow. It's an amazing retreat for a large group, but it's not luxurious. We feel the price reflects that expectation :)

The place was exactly as described. The property was beautiful and the homes were clean. The pool was larger than it looks in the pictures. We had a wonderful stay and the host was extremely friendly and easy to work with. We will definitely be back!

Everyone enjoyed the stay. Lovely property that is featured just as listing. Perfect for summer bookings as well. Love that you can easily open living space up to outside.

Family trip

We had a great tine in Ellijay. The property was a great quiet location, plenty of room for our family of 12. The pool, hot tub, pond and creek were great hit with everyone. We will come back again!!

Great getaway

We had such an amazing time at the mountaintown retreat! There was plenty of things to do for our entire family. Morning coffee on the balcony, relaxing by the pool, fishing, mini tube ride down the creek, s’mores around the campfire. This place checks all the boxes and would definitely stay here again!

Simply Amazing!!!!!!!!!!

Pictures do not do this location justice. Most amazing place we have ever stayed. If you want a large venue for a family gathering where everyone has space. This is the place. Amazing host!!!!! We cannot wait to have another family / friends gathering here.

Family vacation

So many things to do on the property and within a 75 mile drive. Tubing, whitewater rafting, Bigfoot museum, Georgia Aquarium, hiking, pool & hot tub. We only had 3 Bigfoot sightings on the . Also geese, skunk family and deer. Our grandkids said this was the best ever with the variety of things to do.

VACAY 2023

The property was perfect for our family /friend vacation. We enjoyed being outside by the pool and the shallow river that flows along the property. It is located in a quite area but also close enough to town to enjoy downtown Ellijay. With the 3 structures we were able to spread out and then gather for family style meals at the barn. We would definitely visit this property again.

Our Creekside family Retreat

The accomodations were great. All 11 of us were able to eat dinner around the large table in the 'Barn'. As well as play pool and ping pong. The pool was a hit. We tubbed down the creek, and hiked paths from the property. Having the 3 buildings allowed us to have separate sleeping arrangements for all 3 families, and still be together. We visited the nearby Blue Ridge lake. The week was great!

Summer Youth VBS Retreat

Our youth group stayed on this beautiful property. We studied/learned about the VBS lessons our church will host in July in the beauty of God’s mountainside landscape. This property suited everyone. Guys and gals fished/fly-fished, tubed and played in the creek, enjoyed the waterfall and the pool/hot tub. We had the most fun playing volleyball barefoot in the gorgeous meadow. We had everything we needed and everyone was happy!

Great choice for this year's Family Reunion

Great location in the mountains for our family reunion. Ages range from 9 to 55 with our dog. The property is amazing, every morning I would walk down to see the Sasquatch and visit the waterfall along the creek. There was plenty of space inside the houses for everyone and the pool areas and deck are made for gathering. They host was great about communication and their local recommendations were amazing. We can't wait to come out and stay again

Wonderful Second Stay!!

This is the second year that our family has stayed at this property, and we just love it!! We have a group of 12, ranging in age from 3 to 70 years old. We enjoyed the pool every day! The fishing pond did not disappoint. The kids loved it! We all took a hike up the trail to the beautiful mountain overlook one day. We tubed down the creek one day. We bought groceries the first day, and after that, we didn't leave the property the rest of the week. It was just a fun and relaxing trip!

Our first night was ruff. Storm came through and took power out 30 minutes after check in. Thankfully one of the homes available to us had a whole house generator so we all packed in there for night. Generator ran plumbing to both homes so we had water the entire time, which was nice. Location was beautiful. Plenty of space, well stocked kitchens, peacefully secluded and just what we needed as a family. Added bonus our furr-children had a blast too. Host were very helpful and communative and went above and beyond to make sure our time spent there was as we expected. They are extremely fair and easy to communicate with and you can tell they truly want their guest to be happy. Waterfall and hiking area are a bonus as well as creek. The land is just so beautiful. We went to down town Ellijay, which isn't far, for a day and its such a cute town. 10/10 recommend

Marvelous Memories for Multi-Family Reunion

Family gathered from AZ, GA, and FL for the first time in years, and this was the perfect property for making memories together! Kids from 13 months to 9 years old spent time with their aunts and uncles walking the gorgeous grounds, fishing the creek, swimming in the pool, dipping in the hot tub, napping on the hammock, competing in badminton, roasting lamb and s’mores, catching lightning bugs…pure summer. Multiple separate spaces made juggling naps, early mornings, or late night gaming a breeze. Keeping on top of laundry was easy, and managing safety went smoothly too. Host was super responsive to our requests in real time, and the yard games, books, puzzles, smart TVs, and wifi gave us ample variety of activity. Two large table spaces for family meals but plenty of smaller spots throughout meant we were together and comfortable wherever we drifted throughout the day. Gorgeous landscape and cozy bedrooms meant we felt refreshed and invigorated. Highly recommend for multi-family groups of all ages! Even the family dog had the time of his life ;)

Beautiful Property!

We had a wonderful family vacation at Creekside Retreat! It was the perfect location for our family of 12 - ranging in ages from 2 to 69. The weather was beautiful, and we were outside swimming in the pool or hot tub, fishing in the fishing pond, tubing or playing in the creek, or hiking the trails - all day long! We didn't leave the property, except to buy groceries the first day. The cleanliness of the houses had much to be desired - which is why we only rated that section as 2 stars. However, we contacted the owner, and she was very appreciative of our feedback and made compensation. Her response to our feedback was greatly appreciated! We are giving this location a 5-star rating because it had everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation and because the owner was so responsive to all of our communications! We would love to return to this property for our next family vacation!

Beautiful location in need of a few minor improvements

I stayed with a group of staff for our office retreat. Homes were clean and well stocked. I would have rated the stay higher, but communication with the host was very poor. There was no instructions in the house other than wifi and cleanup. I hated to bother the owners, but we needed to know how to do a few simple things. We attempted to contact the owner on several occasions. We would not hear back until the next day or not at all. We searched for the pool lights for over an hour after not hearing back from the owner. I got a text the next day that they do not work. Communication is key.
