Lovely cottage with fenced in back yard

We invite you to come and stay at our newly renovated 2BR home on the northwest side of Wausau. The house is located in a safe quiet neighborhood close to everything: 7 minutes drive to Granite Peak, 5 minutes to downtown, and 5 minutes to Aspirus Hospital. Coffee shops, bars, restaurants and convenience stores are all within easy walking distance. High speed internet/wifi. Huge 75” SmartTV with surround sound for enjoying the big game or watching your favorite show. New super comfortable beds and furniture throughout the house. Brand new kitchen, bathroom and hardwood floors. Garage with plenty of space to park your car, store ski gear, bikes, kayaks, etc. Pet friendly with a large, securely fenced in yard with ample room for your furry friend to run around and play outside. Stainless steel fire pit in backyard with firewood available for free. Blackout blinds in both bedrooms for visiting night shift workers.

This was a wonderful place to stay. We always look for pet-friendly options and this one hit it out of the park. The backyard was safely fenced and the neighborhood had great sidewalks for a lovely stroll with your pup. The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable. It had nearly every amenity you could want on your stay. We will stay here again for certain!

Amazing place

This was the perfect VRBO - stocked with everything we needed for the week, clean, quiet neighborhood, fenced yard for our dogs, and easy to get to all the fun Wausau has to offer. We would definitely stay again next time we are in town! The hosts were great - very easy to communicate with.

This is our second stay at the Birch House and we keep discovering new little thoughtfull amenities that made our stay more comfortable. This stay we noticed the fabulous shower head (we will have to install in our own home). Also, the preset cooler temperature at night made for the most restful sleep. My husband was having surgery at the Aspirus hospital near by. I needed a place to stay in the evenings so I could get some rest. This was a really nice home and I felt so comfortable here.

Wausau cottage

I kinda don’t want to even tell about this home because we want it available for our next trip lol. It is the cutest little house with amazing neighbors. The fenced yard was perfect. We loved the entire experience. The host was great, we will attempt to book this home everytime we are in the area.

A Sweet Little Place!

An excellent place to stay and highly recommended! Everything was perfect for us; the communication with hosts, convenience, price, pet friendly and super clean. Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Lots of extras was certainly a nice touch. Walking distance to Westsider Lounge was a big plus for us! We will def be coming back again. Thank you!

Just like old times in Wausau

This house is in a convenient area, handy to everything Wausau has to offer, like Sam's Pizza! Close to the highways, groceries and downtown restaurants and attractions. It even comes with your own bunnies in the yard. The washer and dryer, Large fridge in the garage and huge tv make this suitable for long stays. The best!! downtown.

Back for another stay for work. Ongoing improvements are great, now there is a charcoal BBQ and nice outdoor furniture for chilling in the sun. I’ll be back in a few weeks!

The stay, host, communication and property were truly amazing! The experience was comfortable and welcoming and we honestly felt right at home. Work trip

Repeat guest at this great location. I regularly visit Wausau for work and this is much more comfortable than staying in a hotel. Great neighborhood and the house has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard.

Super comfortable - location, location location!

Highly recommend! So many thoughtful amenities in this newly renovated, Scandinavian themed home. Exceptional comfortable bed, huge TV, baseboard heat, all equal COMFORT! And don't forget the large garage - no scraping your car off. But best of all, this very quiet neighborhood is close to I-39 (south), highway 29 (east and west) and 51 North. Easy navigation everywhere!

The west side of Wausau is a beautiful and safe tree lined neighborhood with a classic 1950s American feel. The homes are generally quite small and the neighborhood feels more spacious in that way. I enjoy watching the neighborhood kids walk to school in the mornings and returning in the afternoons. Fall and summer are beautiful with great big maple trees turning every shade of red, orange and yellow. There is almost no through traffic on the street where the house is located which is especially nice. There are a couple of restaurants within easy walking distance, and everything else in Wausau is a short drive away.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I tried to renovate and furnish this space to make it very comfortable for travelers, including making sure that there are real blackout blinds for night shift workers who may be in town for Aspirus Hospital and our other big employers.
The two car garage is available to guests to park your vehicle and store ski equipment, bikes, kayaks, etc. There is also a big pile of stacked wood available for cozy fires around the fire pit in the back yard.
The kitchen is set up for any level of cooking you are interested in doing, since I love cooking. There is a small fridge/freezer in the kitchen to make the kitchen feel more spacious, and a large full-sized fridge/freezer in the garage if you need to keep large items cold, or for stocking frosty beverages.
The yard is quite big and fully fenced in since the previous owner had dogs. I imagine this will be a great space for your dog to run around and play. The fire pit is also a great spot to hang out and have a cold beer at the end of the day.
For inside comfort, the couch and living room chairs are high quality and very comfortable. The beds also have super comfy mattresses.
