Right off the main trail system! Heated garage large parking for large trailers

This historic 1916 built home was built in the shadows of the Osceola #13 mine shaft. Enjoy views of the mine from the comfort of the living room. This home was extensively remodeled in the last year, with all new furniture 03/23. It boasts 3 large bedrooms and 1 full bath. Large yard for events and parking. The back of the property is accessible to the main trail system. It is a few hundred feet away from the nearest gas station so filling up snowmobiles, ATVS/UTV's is a breeze. Garage access with heat!

Every room has been completely furnished new in March 2023 new stainless steel Samsung appliances as well. Each bedroom has a smart TV. 55" TV in main living area. Has a petrified piece of wood and limestone bar. Each bedroom has memory foam mattresses.

Every part of the home is accessible besides the basement.
Garage is heated and available for use certain times of the year. This can be used for working on snowmobiles, ATV's, or UTV's. Being heated allows for snowmobiles to thaw out in the winter.

The home is about .6 miles from the Swedetown Ski Chalet!

This home is equipped with smart features. Such as security system, smart locks, smart thermostat, cameras(exterior, 1 inside garage), air quality sensors, water sensors, smoke and fire, glass break sensors, and door and window sensors. In the event of a fire the local fire department will automatically be called. In the event of a break in while security system is armed cops will automatically be called.

Our stay at the cottage was absolutely lovely! We so enjoyed all the comforts of home, the kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were comfy, and the bath had amazing water pressure with plenty of hot water! Not to mention the beautiful decor well done, Cannot wait to come back next year!

Great stay.

Great home and the host provided extras such as toliet paper, trash bags, shampoo/ conditioner and body wash. Kitchen was fully equipped with all items needed to cook a full meal. Beds were comfortable and plenty of sitting room.

The best location/property. Location was great for rock hunting, hiking, and fishing. The amenities at the house were more than accommodating. If you are interested in a 5 star, well maintained property that has everything and more to offer in the UP this is it.

Great, central location

We would recommend home in Calumet to anyone visiting this region; it proved to be a fantastic central location to visit Copper Harbor and Houghton. The home is better than pictured with high quality appliances and supplied conveniences that enhanced our visit. We were thankful for this central location and had a great time in this lovely part of the UP.

Snowmobile trip

Dont let the street view fool you, its a real nice place. The heated garage came in handy to work on a buddys sled and to hang out in between rides. Overall it was a killer trip

April 2024 Stay

The property owner responded and gave a resolution promptly to a concern I had upon arrival. She was very easy to work and communicate with. Overall our stay was great. Calumet is the perfect distance from MTU when major events are happening there.

Bike trip

6 of us went on a motorcycle trip to the UP, and stayed at the Osceola mine # 13 house, everything was as described in the description, house was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay, it was nice to have the garage for our bikes, we will be back!

July 4th Family Reunion 2024

We were in UP for a family reunion. The location to the rest of my family was ideal. The home and the amenities were great. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and other kitchen items, towels. Modern considering home is over 100 years old. Spacious place so our family could spread out. Hosts were very responsive. We will plan to stay there again. Thank you.

I grew up in this house from age 2-21, I purchased the home from my mother 4 years ago. In 2022 we went together and created Superior Capital LLC to do a complete renovation on this home and start doing short term rentals. This is the first home we flipped and finished and we are looking forward to doing many more!

This home is unique due to its location. Right outside of the Calumet township border, right off the main trail, and near a gas station within a few hundred feet. It also has amazing views of the Osceola #13 mine shaft that was operated by the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company. We are about 1.2 miles from the Swedetown Ski Trail system.
