Locally-owned shops are also within walking distance, and there is no shortage of shopping opportunities on Broughton Street, which is just 2 blocks away. Great place, but be prepared to be hot or cold

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great VRBO, great location, clean, spacious, well decorated and furnished. Only two things to be aware of, two flights of steep stairs to get to the unit, one outside, one inside. Also, the thermostat is located in the stairway, outside the unit, the result is that there is no effective feedback to the thermostat, if you turn the AC on, it’s going to run and run and run, until you go out in the hall and turn it off, same with the heat. Expect to get up in the night a couple of times either hot or cold, and have to go mess with the thermostat, or just turn it off before bed.

Good area of town, with convenient access to what we were looking to do and clean. A few of negatives though; the decorations are like seconds from grandmom's attic. The artwork was tired and uninteresting. And there are about 5 creepy taxidermy ducks on the walls - pretty odd and I'm a hunter. We asked in advance if they could be taken down (not a huge ask since we were going to be there for 5 days-not just a night or two) and were refused. The rugs were tired as well. And while in a quiet neighborhood, the windows have huge gaps and when trucks, police cars or other traffic went by we could hear it like the windows were wide open. We live in a major city so we know what traffic noise can sound like and this was excessive. Also, because of the window gaps, supplemental air conditioning units have been installed which are also noisy.

Location location, walking distance to literally everything in Savannah, downtown, squares, restaurants and River front. Very clean, all included for a quick stay. Garage parking included a big YES, small 2 blocks from apt, you can unload just in front of the apt and park your car at the garage , very convenient and easy. Bathroom room do not close completely, not a big deal, but a little bit loud as a traffic runs just besides the bedroom, we needed to use earplugs to get some rest, again we are middle age adults , so party hours were before midnight . Communication with owner was fast and instructions clear . thank you so much !! suggestion, maybe have an iron ;)

Amazing location!

Absolutely loved this place, seemed way bigger than the photos online and was in a prime walking location. The parking garage is a 2 minute walk which was also key. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great location! No sheets for fold out sofas. - housekeeper did bring after second call. Air out upon waking on 2nd morning. - maintenance came and had to bring 2nd portable unit. Bathroom electric plug out. Bathroom door did not close.

Great location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is in the historic district close to everything! The parking pass is a definite bonus. It’s a block or so away but once we unloaded and parked, we walked everywhere we wanted to go. There is a firehouse close by so if there is a need for emergency services, you will hear about it. Nothing to be done about that though. The bathroom door didn’t latch and stay closed so that could be a little awkward. The management was quick to bring a second Keurig when the first one didn’t work. There is a Starbucks only a block away. The property is in great shape for the age. Of course expect creaky floors but that’s the character of the home. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I personally like a tv in the bedroom but that’s subjective. My only suggestion would be to put pictures of the interior stairs for the upstairs unit. They were a complete surprise to us and caused me to look at the listing again to see if I overlooked a picture or description of them. Only the exterior steps are shown. We weren’t aware we were in a second floor unit. If you have mobility issues or heavy luggage (as we did), they can be cumbersome. Not to discourage anyone, just suggesting clear transparency. I would recommend this property, for sure!

Great getaway

Beautiful place in a great location. Enjoyed our stay. I will agree that the stairs are real. Not only are there those pictured in the listing but also another set inside the door. We managed them fine, but do understand those that may have struggled. Very clean and roomy.

DO NOT STAY HERE THE STAY OF NIGHTMARES

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!First off there was issues with the lock on the door but it was handled quickly. The pull out bed had no sheets, slept terrible.But the thing that made this stay aweful was the weekend property manager WENDY!! We went out to breakfast the last day and while we were gone they went in and cleaned at 10 am when our check out was 11. We came in at 10:30 to get our leftovers and bottle of alcohol (mind you these left overs were purchased to eat after check out -we had purchased extra steak and lamb for on the way home) all of this was thrown away. My phone was still on charge in the room and the house keeper even mentioned that she thought we were still using the room she had called Wendy and Wendy told her to still clean the room she was sure we checked out. Wendy was so rude on the phone with me telling me that this was an emergency line and that leftovers weren’t an emergency. She told me she wasn’t “the one” and that she was too busy with check ins to deal with talking to me. I finally talked with a week day manager this morning who was nice on the phone but only refunded me 100 when that isn’t a fair amount for what was left even though they said that’s fair from looking up the prices and pictures they claim to have taken (which is weird to take pictures of someone’s to go boxes before their check out time anyways..) I was to tired of dealing with this property to fight for a fair price. Over all I would never use a Cora bett Thomas rental again.

Lovely place but ...

The parking being 2 blocks away was unfortunate. There is no where to unload luggage, which was an issue. It rained, so just getting to the car we would be soaked.. If i had known it was 2 blks, i wouldnt have stayed here.

Charming and convenient!

We loved our stay in this immaculately clean and thoughtfully appointed apartment. The location could not be better - we were within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit. Having a parking pass included was definitely a money-saving bonus. Note: this apartment requires climbing 2 sets of stairs to enter, so it may not be feasible for those with mobility issues.

Great location

The place is cute. Bathroom door doesn't close, shower door leaks ,pull out bed is one of the worst. Long complained about from what it looks like without being fixed .

Birthday Weekend Getaway

Loved the location of the property from being close to the river district and downtown eateries. Property was large, stylish in the older style. I would choose a rental property next time with less steps.

Nice place but bring earplugs

The place was nice and clean and easy to check in and out of. The windows seem very thing so I recommend earplugs for sleeping.

LOCATION!

Wonderful place to stay. Had everything we needed for three days in Savannah. The location can’t be beat. We walked to everything we wanted to see and do. The bed was very comfortable. I have a bad back so that’s important to me. It was so roomy too. Zero complaints. I look forward to staying there again.

100% Stay Here!!

Many of the reviews talk above how great this location is. It is absolutely true! It's less than a 3 minute walk from Broughton Street, 5 minute walk from City Market, and 8 minutes from River Street. Literally everything is within walking distance! But, those things arent the best park about staying here. The parking pass for the parking garage is awesome! Most of the hotels charge $45 per night for parking. So, the free parking included in this stay can literally save hundreds of dollars. As for street noises at night, we heard multiple sirens and motorcycles, but our 6 month old baby never woke up due to the sounds. We heard them, but were not bothered by them, norndid they keep us awake. So, for us, the noise was not bothersome. Overall, I 100% recommend you stay here. Youll love it. I promise

I should have trusted the reviews about the noise. I thought people were overreacting and not use to city noise but honestly it’s like the windows are not even there. 2 floors up and you can still hear every word the people on the street say. It’s not muffled at all… so trust the reviews if you like to get sleep.
