Lovely and big 1 BR apt in Hamilton Heights !

My partner and I have a wonderful fully furnished 1-BR apt in Hamilton Heights (a historic neighborhood in West Harlem) available over the summer from June 14th to July 4th 2023.
We can be somewhat flexible with our dates.

We have two 1-year old cats (Churchill (male) and Cambridge (female) who would also be there during that time and we would love a cat friendly person to take care of them! They are very low maintenance, very sweet, friendly (a bit shy at first). They require 2x a day feeding, every other day water change, maintenance of cat litter when needed and that's pretty much it! We will cover the costs of all cat food, litter, and other expenses if necessary! The sublet rate includes a discount for your help taking care of them.

We are on the third floor of a prewar building with elevator (6 floors total in the building). The apt has original moldings, high ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors (rare in NYC) and original windows. It has one large bedroom (queen-sized bed) and large living room/dining room, fairly large extra foyer area, kitchen, and bathroom. There is plenty of room for one to two people (even our couch is like a daybed and is very comfortable to sleep on). We also have 3 desks in different rooms of the apt you can work from. The apt is sunny and has large windows in each room and three bay windows in the living room (magical). Perfect and so pleasant for working from home! Also, walls are thick and the apt is VERY quiet (we never hear our neighbors)!

The apt comes with all the essential amenities you would need + a great sound system, 2x monitors, 2x radios & a record player).

We have a brand new window A/C unit and a very effective portable fan. The rooms stay relatively cool in the summer thanks to the thick walls. Mosquito screens are installed on each window.

We also have a beautiful wood dining table that extends if you have more guests, along with 2x Le Creuset Dutch oven's you are free to use (with care) !

Our apt is half a block from the A,C,B,D train station and 7min from the 1 train. We are close to St. Nicholas park (5min) Riverbank state park (7min), City College, and Cloisters (16min). This is a quiet, residential area with tree-lined streets, iconic New York architecture, cute cafes, & lot's of good food spots. We are also right by the laundromat/dry cleaner, grocery store, pharmacy, & 24hr walk-in urgent care. Basically a highly convenient location in the neighborhood and only 12 min subway to midtown and 25 min subway ride to downtown Manhattan.

Utilities and wifi are also included in the sublet price.
