Overlook beautiful Lake Kagawong from the three tiered deck. Swim, fish or paddle the clear clean waters, relax on the dock or explore the trails on the private 18 acre lot!

The Vista on Lake Kagawong was something quite special. The lakefront was easily accessible with new staircase and large dock; the 3 km hiking trail was really well groomed and was an excellent and relaxing addition to the overall experience; rooms were large and comfortable; fire pit was great, with a large supply of split/dry/aromatic cedar; and hosts were flexible, supportive, and very communicative.

Gorgeous Lakeside Property with Fantastic Views

We had four nights at The Vista. We found the cottage to be well equipped for sports and cooking. The property was stunningly beautiful, peaceful, and private.

A Wonderful Return to the Island

This is our fifth trip to the Island in the last 20 years and we love to come here every few years in the fall months to see the vibrant colours and enjoy the peacefulness of the Island. This is the first time at The Vista and loved the location right on the lake and the setup of the cottage suited our lifestyle perfectly, and the cleanliness was first class. Look forward to coming back again in the near future. Thanks Lise for sharing your cottage with us.

Wonderful week on Manitoulin

The property was exactly as described and the host was very responsive to any questions we had. The property’s central location suited our plans to explore the island and enjoy the hiking trails, restaurants and art galleries. This would be an ideal property for families with lots of room for outdoor games although the water access is best suited for older children and teens.

Perfect Location

The cottage is in great shape very clean. Everything as advertised. Feels remote and is very private but close to a grocery and things to do. But could easily just laze around the beautiful property and swimming off the dock. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Manitoulin Getaway

We had a great time during our stay. The property is wonderful - our kids enjoyed playing badminton outside, kayaking and fishing on the lake, and fires at night! Would love to come back!!

Lovely spot for couples or family

The cottage was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked-lots of dishes and cooking supplies. Having 2 fridges was very handy. It was nice to find a place easily shared by 3 couples (3 queen bedrooms and 2 full baths). The deck on the house is very big with lots of comfy deck chairs and a water view but the steps down to the water are a walk across the lawn and then many steps down. But we enjoyed the spacious dock and the gorgeous views. The lake was very quiet when we were there, very relaxing. The cottage has lots of activities available including kayaks, canoe, horseshoes and a net for sports. They have a backroom full of equipment to use and lots of wood for campfires. It was easy to find, a bit of a drive into a town but lots of beautiful scenery on the way and nice little shops. We would have liked another couch in the livingroom so we could all sit together but this place does work for couples or 1 or 2 families. People with small children would appreciate the large lawn safely far away from the water for kids to play. The only water access though is off the dock. Lise was very quick to respond when we had a question and we had a great time.

The cottage is surrounded by level grassy area - a badminton net, horseshoe pit and fire pit is perfect for family fun. The back of the cottage is surrounded by trees, and enjoyed by deer, foxes and many birds.
