North Carolina does experience a peak bug season, especially in more natural or wooded areas, and I take measures to mitigate this as much as possible. I regularly schedule pest control services and thorough cleanings to ensure a comfortable environment for our guests, though, unfortunately, nature can sometimes persist despite our best efforts. I am really sorry that 3 bugs you have sent me pictures of really upset you that much. I apologize that this impacted your experience and appreciate your understanding. Dear Lee, I hope this message finds you well. I sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction you experienced during your stay. I would like to clarify my perspective regarding the situation. When you initially inquired about extending your stay, I informed you that it was possible. However, two days before your checkout, I received multiple requests from other guests interested in booking the property. I reached out promptly to suggest that you confirm your extension as soon as possible due to the high demand. You mentioned that you would know for sure the next day. I did make you aware that I wouldn’t be able to extend your stay if someone booked it online. I texted you multiple times within two hours asking you to confirm your extension on the VRBO app because of the high demand for those dates. My rental policy requires that any extensions be secured with immediate payment. After waiting for several hours without a response, the house was booked by other guests. When you called me, I was taken aback and cursing out by your frustration regarding the booking. I kindly reminded you that I was trying to hold the dates for you, but I didn’t receive a timely response. I have never changed my daily rates; they have remained the same for the past ten months, especially during such a challenging time as a former resident of Asheville. I regret that this situation led to your frustration, and I wish we could have communicated more effectively. I did my best to keep you informed throughout the process, and it was never my intention to cause any inconvenience.
