My husband and I needed to get away from reality for a few days, and this property was perfect. We watched gently falling leaves from the porch, and I fell in love with the rockers. The property was very spacious for the two of us, and we had a lovely 3-night-stay. We highly recommend this property!

The property was delightful and as described on VRBO. Would have been helpful to know both bathrooms were on the lower floor. 12 yr old would have liked to have had one TV upstairs. Owner was terrified and soo easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.

Cozy, peaceful cabin

The cabin was a perfect base while we moved our daughter into her dorm. Quiet, peaceful setting and only 10-15 minutes to campus. Plenty of beds. It was perfect for the 3 of us. Family spaces would have been a little tight if we had had all 5 of us.

Rustic cabin by a babbling brook, what can be nicer in the quiet mountains!All good, but my only beef is that the upstairs is not height suitable for a 6’5” guy.Oh, and yes, a bear attacked the outside garbage can the last night we were there, fortunately we had kept all the garbage inside as per instructions.

Fantastic Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this location. It was close to App State, Tweetsie, and many great hiking trails! The cabin was cleaned and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We would stay here again!

Great Mountain Cabin

Stayed here again for a family weekend. The location is great. The kids really enjoyed playing in the backyard creek, and the yard was great for games. The back porch is perfect for relaxing at all times of the day. We've visited this cabin several times and would highly recommend!

Great little cabin!

This is our second time staying at this property. It is so cozy and cute, just as pictured! Vanessa was very helpful with any questions we had. It is in a great location close to Boone, App State and Grandfather Mountain. I highly reccommend this property.

Our family loved staying here!

We loved this cabin. Everything was just as pictured. Beautiful, peaceful piece of property that was tucked away yet close to Boone. We were visiting or son at App State and found it to be a very convenient location. We loved the outdoor seating and the gas fireplace. Would highly recommend and are already planning to stay here again!

Fall in the Mountain

My wife and I travel to the area every fall, and like staying in vacation rentals. We found this home online and chose it due to the location & price. The location was excellent and home was clean and well furnished.

Great Little Cabin

Enjoyed our stay! Agree with previous reviews that it would be nice to have fewer items on the kitchen counters so you have room for your items you bring and for prepping food. But overall a very cute cabin and in a great location!

Will come again. For safety returning at night, needs better outdoor lighting at door or solar lights. Don’t trip over the rocks! Had a great time!

Mountain Getaway

The cabin was exactly as we expected. It was nice to have room for our young family of four. The patio and outdoor area was great! Our 22 month old loved pushing his dump truck in circles around the cabin! It is a lot traveling with two under two, and the third night free made the trip just a little bit longer and all the packing/unloading/adjusting worth it!

All we expected

The cabin was very clean, and all that we had expected. There were no surprises. It is a great location for Boone and Banner Elk and local trout fishing. If one wants to get a quiet getaway, this is the place.

Wonderful White Christmas

We spent Christmas here and had a wonderful stay. There was no snow in the forecast but it snowed the night before we came in and continued to snow off and on until Christmas Day. We arrived to snow at the cabin on Saturday and left the following Thursday with snow still on the ground in places. The cabin was in a great location to enjoy all local ski resorts, activities, and dining.

Lovely Setting

A wonderful visit with friends and stayed mostly on the porch to enjoy the trees, wildlife and creek. Very comfortable beds! We enjoyed our stay. As a cottage rental owner myself, please be aware of the poor lighting when getting out of cars by the kitchen at night. The stones along the walkway are hard to see. Two of us tripped and one fell, fortunately not hurt other than a skinned shin. We enjoyed being together and visiting friends in Valle Crucis.
