Tybee Sunshine is a self contained studio apartment on the ground floor and only 20 steps until your toes are in the sand and you enter the beach through a private beach path. Located on the quietest part of beach on Tybee, but also walking distance to some of the best restaurants on the island, including Sundae Cafe, Salt Island, North Beach Bar & Grill, Cockspur and Sea Wolf. Tybee Sunshine is also near Jaycee Park, a beautiful green space with a walking/running/ hiking trail, disc golf, basketball/ pickleball courts, and bird watching.

Almost perfect

The size of the studio was perfect for my needs. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Loved the thick towels. Appreciated the beach chairs. Only problem: it is more than 10 steps to the actual beach. It is10 steps to the path leading to the beach, but it was approximately 375 feet to the beach area. This piece of information should be given. When asked if I could park in the driveway I was told yes since there were no other guests coming until Friday. Very convenient. I appreciated the owner allowing me to do this. It was a very peaceful and uncrowded area of the beach.

Best location on Tybee

We loved our syay at Tybee Sunshine. It's far enough from the major beaches to keep you out of the crowds but close enough to walk to several excellent restaurants.

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay at Tybee Sun! The space is lovely and the vibes are amazing! We couldnt have chosen a more perfect place to stay for a kid-free getaway. Ann is so awesome and has so many great recommendations. Sea Wolf, a restaurant just a short walk away, is fantastic!

Quiet and relaxing

My husband and I loved staying here! Ann is a wonderful host and has thought of everything! She was very helpful with suggestions on things to do and where to eat and they were all spot on. She answered us immediately when we had questions! Our favorite part was the close, private access to the beach. Ann, thank you for everything and we will certainly be returning soon!

Quiet and quaint

This place was exactly as described in the picture. It's very quiet. A very nice walk to the beach. It was a very short stroll through the dunes. Ann has been the best host! A thoughtful gift basket was a very sweet gift. She was very knowledgeable of you have any questions about Tybee, food suggestions, or anything like that. We really loved this place and we will be back.

Quiet and Secluded Paradise

We spent our honeymoon at Tybee Sunshine. The town and community is quiet, respectful, easy to get around. We walked everywhere. We had our own private walk way to the beach. The room was perfect for two and so inviting. We had a wonderful and comfortable stay. We had no idea when booking we would be staying in the middle of a historic district. Do rich with history! We loved learning about it all. Ann the host was quick to answer any questions we had and had a beautiful basket filled with goodies for us to share to celebrate our marriage! We will defy go back and if your looking for a slow paced relaxing getaway then book here for your next trip!

Great Little Getaway

Ann was supper helpful with great communication. She even had a goodie basket and wine for us since it was our anniversary. House was just as described. My wife loved the bed and pillows. She usually has trouble sleeping on most beds, but got a great light sleep on this one. The beach was a short walk through the dunes. Would definitely recommend this for your stay and Tybee.

The place was very lovely with everything we needed. Very quiet friendly neighborhood and kind friendly neighbors. Beach access was as advertised with about 20 steps to the dunes and little further to the beach. Very quiet serene beach. We are locals from SC and needed a quick easy get-away. And this was perfectly it. Ann was very responsive and generous. We will be back.

Perfect couples getaway

Ann delivered in all areas! My husband and I visited for a long weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday and she even had decorations, snacks and champagne for us! Everything was so nice and clean! We were just steps to the beach which was very private! We really loved the outdoor shower after a long day at the beach! This sweet oasis will not disappoint! I can’t wait to go back!

What an amazing location - literally 50 steps to a prime location on the beach. Ann is an angel and puts the super in superhost. We will be back! She thinks of all the little things and knows everything about the island, so any recommendation is just an ask away. We couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish!

Perfect getaway!

We booked last minute and were fortunate to land at this spot. Very thoughtful host and the space was so fresh and accommodating. For a studio rental it delivers. Full kitchen, stocked fridge, snacks, beach chairs and a grill. Short walk through the dunes to the beach. My wife uses a cane and made the trek with relative ease.

Amazing details!

From the moment we walked in, we felt so relaxed and welcome! The bed was comfortable. It was just a short walk right to the ocean. We loved the outdoor shower and everything was very CLEAN! If you're looking for a small, perfectly curated place to get away, you found it!

I love sharing this little slice of Tybee with my guests! I've lived in the unit upstairs, above Tybee Sunshine since 1989 and I got very lucky finding such a cool, quiet part of the beach back then. A few years ago I renovated the ground level to craft a one bedroom apartment, Tybee Sunshine. It's fun to have guests at Tybee Sunshine and whether I meet them or not, I love helping them find the places on the island that the locals know and love, as well as making sure they don't miss the unique-to-Tybee activities!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Back when I moved to Tybee in 1989 and bought Tybee Soulshine, Tybee was a sleepy little island with only 300 year round residents. I loved Tybee Soulshine because it was on the beach and off the beaten path. Fast forward to today and the rest of the island has gotten much more populated and touristy (although still a quirky throw back of the island. Given that, I am now even happier to be in this quiet neighborhood. The best part... is that the island is only 3 miles long and one mile wide, so you can still be a part of the fun (if you want) but sleep with peace & quiet!

Walk across the private beach access to dip your toes in the water while you watch the sunrise! Because the beach access is private, the beautiful beach at Tybee Sunshine is unpopulated and quiet! The decor is bright and happy and I've made sure that everything a guest might need is included!
