THANKSGIVING SPECIAL! Savannah Beach & Racquet Club condo on North Beach 303B

The Savannah Beach & Racquet Club is a gated bayfront complex located on the quiet North end of Tybee Island. The Bay is where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There is a wonderful beach area just steps from the condo. This area of the beach is known to be very family-friendly as it is less crowded. The location is great for dolphin watching, watching large ship containers travel into savannah port. If you enjoying walking along the beach you can walk all the way to the South end of the Island, without leaving the sand. The Beach & Racquet Club is a great alternative to staying at a hotel room on the island. Enjoy more space and amenities like fully equipped kitchens, living room with cable TV, private balconies, tennis courts, and pool. All of the one-bedroom condos share the use of a 14'x20' pool and 10"x10' kiddie pool. A&B building condos have coin-operated laundry on each floor. There is parking for 1 vehicle only, NO GOLF CARTS, TRAILERS, BOATS, JET SKI'S, or OVERSIZE VEHICLES ALLOWED.

3rd floor unit with a side view of the beach (amazing views). King size bed in bedroom plus TV. This unit does NOT have a sofa sleeper or bunks. It's only equipped to sleep 2. This unit has been completely remodeled with stunning upgrades. Walk-in oversized shower, no tub, no wi-fi

Experience

Excellent stay with space for the kids. Beautiful balcony view to the beach my 2 young children, even got to see dolphins from it. Fully supplied with kitchenware. The condo was in the middle of Tybee and the beach was amazing!!

My husband and I were very pleased with our trip. We had a wonderful time and we will be coming back in the near future to stay again. Our condo was clean everything was perfect!

Strong sulfur smelling water

The room was updated very nicely and everything was accurate to the description of the property but the water smelled horrible! It smellled like sulfur and we didn’t feel comfortable brushing our teeth, bathing, cooking or washing the dishes in the water. Even after running the water for a long period of time didn’t clear the odor but instead made the room smell terrible. We ended up buying jugs of water to bath and to cook. This was reported to the rental office when we checked out. We are avid beach travelers and have never experienced this before.Please check this out before allowing anyone else to lease that room!

Condo is as advertised. The only complaint is the sulfur smell is pretty overwhelming. If you have a sensitive nose at all it will not be the place for you. A simple water filter could fix that. I knew about the no WIFI, but that would deter my next stay. Otherwise, perfect little place

Better Options Available

Nice location….. but the condo itself leaves a bit to be desired. This unit is owned by one of a few rental companies on Tybee Island. The condo is located in an older building and the units pretty shabby despite attempted updates. Bed was old and not very comfortable, sheets had a few small holes, updated flooring was very poorly installed and had obvious gaps, and the crown molding had obvious discoloration and stains. The bed is also directly inside of the door, which is well disguised in the photos. If we had it to do over we’d select another option.

Great Getaway

Great getaway, nice and cozy with oceanview. Felt the housekeeper just made up the bed from the previous renters, no change of sheets and she needs to wear a net cause hair was from the bed to the toilet seat to the sofa.

Cute condo

The condo was really cute and clean…with the exception of some huge dead water bugs in the bathroom. But at least they were dead! Our stay would’ve been perfect if the elevator had not been out of order for our entire stay. My sister and I (both in our 60’s) were not prepared to haul luggage up to the third floor! I’m still sore from that. Also, when I called the rental office to inquire about what to do with our used bath towels, I was told that we needed to launder them. Since there is not a change machine in the laundry room, we drove all over town trying to find a merchant who would give us change. Another resident we spoke to said that she thought that information was incorrect…this was after our scavenger hunt for quarters and spending our last night in Tybee doing laundry. My only suggestion for the condo would be to add a container for ice and to adjust the sliding glass door since it was sticking when we opened it.

Great Location

This is our second time at this property but the first time in this unit. For anyone looking for a couples get away, this is perfect. Great beach and pool areas. My only negative to this unit was there weren’t any garbage bags. Sounds strange but we bought extra TP and paper towels and never thought of garbage bags. I would definitely rent again.

Great condo!

Condo was perfect for what we needed. We wanted right by the beach with a great view, and it was both! It’s updated as well so was comfortable and beautiful. Communication with the property manager was very easy and it had everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again!

Nice unit, great location, well maintained.

Zero complaints about the property. It was perfect. The beach was clean and uncrowded. The unit however we had a couple minor issues with. It has a King sized bed fit into a space that should have a Queen. Skinned and bruised shins repeatedly the whole stay. No dishwasher in the unit and no clothes washer/dryer. Other than that we were well pleased with our stay. The decor is perfect, the unit was immaculately clean, everything was in great repair. The kitchen equipment, pots, pans plates and glasses, etc were excellent.

Great location just steps away from the beautiful North beach. Condo was as described only complaint is the smell of the sulfur in water.

Very nice place, cozy bed, & well stocked with dishes, etc. Enjoyed the balcony looking out at the sunsets. Nice pool…if heated would have been nicer. No complaints.

Great Tybee Island location

My 15-year-old daughter and I were very comfortable here. Steps from the beach, quiet and peaceful. Plenty of dishes etc. in the kitchen. Cute coffee shop in walking distance, and plenty of restaurants to choose from on the island. The only thing I would suggest doing differently is to provide a second roll of toilet paper with the unit :)

Apartment small, too many fees

Nice little apt. for a short stay only. Owner advertised specific price, but then charged multiple fees resulting in a significant higher price. Paid for a cleaning fee but then they required us to clean before we left AND asked for a cleaning tip (?!) Area rugs were stained and well worn so that we did not want to walk without our shoes on. We made the best of our stay and made sure the place was spotless when we left.

Fun getaway for a couple or individual

This was a fun little spot right off the beach, only a few minutes drive from most things you'd want. The building is older (and was under construction when we were there), but the condo seems to have been redone and was neat and easy to access. A few quirks, like the "bedroom" really being a nook that doesn't offer any privacy, only make this useful for a single stay or a couple. But all in all a fun place for the price.
