Beachside home in the heart of Duck, NC and walkable to the ocean!

Wow! This home has been completely (and lovingly) updated in 2020 with new paint throughout, new appliances, bedding, mattresses, furniture and decor, flooring, and new modern fans and fixtures. The house comes with beach bikes, wagon w/beach toys, corn hole boards, outdoor games, beach tents, grill & smoker, outdoor shower just to name a few. We are always adding new things to help your stay be a wonderful, relaxing experience and adventure. Situated on Christopher Drive in the heart of Duck, the Gulls Nest is only a couple minute walk to main eating, shops, Town Center, the boardwalk along the sound and less than 10 minute walk to the beach. The house was in a great location. We could walk and bike to the beach and all around Duck. We loved all the outdoor games and bikes that were available.

Great location, well-equipped house

Very clean and comfortable home. The location of the house is wonderful, an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and the sound boardwalk. We loved staying in Duck.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay; it was well stocked and close to town and the beach! The kids and adults both loved the beach cruisers, and the buckets and wagon were great for trips to the beach!

Perfect family vacation house

This house accommodated all of our family’s needs for our long weekend family beach trip. The layout was great and the amenities were perfect! The property owner was super responsive and kind to work with. Would recommend booking this house for sure!

Excellent Vacation Home

Great location. Less than 10 minute walk to beach , restaurants, and shopping. Home is beautiful and well maintained. Host is very responsive and helpful. Great place for relaxing or a family retreat. We had an amazing time!

Great time had by all

The house was packed with beach toys, house toys and games for the kids. There were kid and adult snacks ready when we arrived. We’ve rented houses before and this was the best stocked rental we’ve ever had. The property manager was super responsive and friendly. We loved it!

Amazing place to stay

The home is in a great location in Duck, easily accessing the shops and restaurants in one direction and the beach in the other. The home was in great condition, with the exterior freshly updated with a great outdoor shower. There’s also a large selection of bikes, boogie boards, tents and a cart to transport it all to the beach. Inside the home is beautiful, with 4 bedrooms on the second floor and another bedroom and bath on the third. All the furniture is very comfortable and in great shape. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need if you don’t feel like eating out. Communication with the management is great, quick replies and very helpful. We will definitely come back, even in the off season!

Did not stay

Upon arrival we noticed that the house was not very clean. Hairs in the bathroom, dirt on the floors, spiderwebs all over the porches. The house had a strange smell that was being covered up by air fresheners that were overwhelming. We decided to leave when we saw several cockroaches. We reached out to the owner and she said she just had the house sprayed for bugs the week before and she was actually there herself and inspected the house and it was clean. I guess our standards are just different. She refunded half of the money that we had paid which was extremely disappointing. We have stayed in several VRBO‘s and have never left one before.

Having been raised by the beach my entire life, I've always dreamed of owning my own beach house and my sweet husband made that dream come true several years ago! This is our family's second beach home and we love it! We have a large multigenerational family (my husband and I, four grown children, 3 married w/5 littles between them). I've tried to put all of the things we loved about staying as a family at the beach over the past 40 years into this one home and added things I would have liked to have had as a convenience while staying such as paper products, linens on the beds, basics in the kitchen and an updated kitchen. It's the little things that make the stay more memorable such as riding beach bikes to the beach, walking to town for ice cream after supper, having new different books to read at the house, rocking chairs on the deck/porch, and not having to either bring or purchase a bunch of items just for the stay such as cleaning supplies, condiments, spices, etc. so I've added those here for our guests. Hopefully, you agree and enjoy staying here at the Gulls Nest. It's so central to everything in Town and oceanside.

Ocean Dunes, our neighborhood, is great! Great location to everything and special because at least half of our neighbors live here year-round and we have a community bond to keep the area mutually enjoyable. The Town of Duck is special because it is like staying in a small village town walkable to everything you need and has lots of things you can enjoy such as live music in the evenings at various outdoor bars and eateries and great sunset walks along the boardwalk that expands the entire length of the town.
