Driveway disclaimer: the driveway up to the back patio is a bit steep and has some cracks. Lower vehicles my need additional time and care when going up and down.

We are not able to accommodate RVs or campers on the property, as there is no space or hookup available for them. Standard vehicles, SUVs, and cargo vans are perfectly fine. If you're traveling with an RV, please contact us in advance—we're happy to suggest nearby parking or RV parks.

Although Bullock Pen Lake has safe water, it’s not a swimming lake. Feel free to take a turn out on our kayaks or bring your own boat. Boats must operate at idle speed. Lake use is at your own risk.

Per platform policy and local regulations, guests must provide contact info and sign a rental agreement within 24 hours of booking. Failure to do so may result in cancellation per the standard policy. Free Wi-Fi at property requires email entry; contact confirmation is optional.

Peaceful Stay

The house was cute, good size for 5 to 6 people. The lake was peaceful, we enjoyed kayaking and the firepit. It was conveniently located between the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum.

Quiet little getaway

Beautiful property and very responsive owners. We did have an issue with the wifi (no real cell service so needed wifi in case of emergencies) but our hosts took care of it as promptly as possible. Beds and pillows were really hard so I spent a night on the couch and the outside could use better lighting. Its on a timer so you have no control of front porch light. So once its out... its very dark. Which was a little disappointing because I like to get up really early and read my Bible on the porch and watch sunrise or sit and relax at night a bit after everyone has gone to bed and its quiet. Other than those few things everything else was great. I would definitely stay here again... would just need to bring a memory foam pad for the bed but some may prefer a really firm mattress. It was very clean and has everything you need. I wpuld recommend this place. Quiet neighborhood with friendly people!

Exactly what we needed

Excellent location! Close to the Ark and Creation Museum. Being on the river with use of kayaks a huge plus. We were able to visit local attractions, cook evening meals with a kitchen stocked with cooking essentials and enjoy sitting on the porch or fishing the river. Was perfect for our family of 5 and 2 small dogs. I would 100% stay here again!

Relaxation!!

This is a clean, cute little house! Super close to the Ark. Kayaks were a definite PLUS! I will miss reading my book on the porch and enjoying the view. And when the day is through, they had the SOFTEST sheets and blankets EVER!! Honestly…look no further, this is your house!

Great location!

The location is perfect for visiting the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. The lake views from the front porch are also perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of creation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The kayaks are an added bonus and provide opportunity to explore the peaceful lake.

Lake House

We stayed on the porch A LOT, and the kids stayed on the lake whenever we home. We wanted to visit the Ark Encounter but also enjoyed the stay at the Lake House just as much!

Family Trip

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was super clean and very inviting. It is a perfect location for visiting the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter as it is an easy drive to both yet away from the busyness too. The kayaks were a wonderful addition as all of us enjoyed some time on the water. It was a great trip for all of us.

Nice property

This was a great location. We loved being right at the water! The house was nice but could use a few updates bathtub and shower head. The property owner was very nice and always responded promptly. We will stay again if we come back to the area. Thanks for the good memories.

My love for creating memorable experiences for guests started at the relatively young age of 16 when I got my first job as a cleaner and server at a large bed and breakfast in my hometown in central Canada. I have an undergraduate degree in Interior Design and now dedicate my time to creating commercial interior spaces, but I have found a new passion for short term rentals. Some proceeds from our rental goes to missions that we believe in.
