This charming three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath beach cottage delivers the quintessential San Diego vacation — just two properties from the sand and a block from the calm waters of Mission Bay. Recently renovated, the home blends vintage coastal charm with modern comforts, offering AC in the living room and bedrooms, a fully updated kitchen with new appliances, and a private office space with a desk and high-speed WiFi.

The spacious front patio is perfect for enjoying Mission Beach's sunny days, featuring a built-in grill, turf lawn, and outdoor seating for al fresco dining. Upstairs, the primary suite is a true retreat with vaulted wood-beam ceilings and its own private balcony with ocean views.

After a day on the beach or boardwalk, rinse off in the outdoor shower before settling in for a relaxing evening. Whether you're here to explore Belmont Park, ride bikes along the five-mile boardwalk, or venture to nearby attractions like the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld, this home puts you in the perfect spot for adventure and relaxation.

Family vacay

We travelled to SD with our family. The property is just a few houses from the water and boardwalk and very accessible. The house is equipped with beach chairs and towels etc. and bonus to have a washer dryer! We rented a Hyundai Tucson SUV and had no issues parking in the garage. The 4 of us had plenty of space within the house and with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The kids agreed a shower but otherwise had their own bathrooms. Highly recommend this place. I see why it’s rated so high!

Best place in Mission Beach

This is our fourth time staying in South Mission Beach and the house exceeded our expectations. It may be the perfect place. Situated between the road and the beach path, it’s very quiet yet steps away from everything. It’s a one minute walk to the market, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and takeout. Pictures dont do it justice. Our new favorite and the only place we will stay at going forward.

Right on beach

Cute cottage that is about 50 feet from the beach. Slept 7 comfortably. The beach access is away from public parking and shopping, so is not crowded. Minutes from everything you want be near to. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone and will likely choose again if we come back.

Simply Awesome

The house was clean and comfortable. They provided everything that we needed including beach toys and towels. Loved the front door with the screen, so we could let in the ocean air without the flies. The garage parking was very nice. Quick walk to coffee, food and the market. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Beachfront, relaxing, family friendly

We had a wonderful stay at Mission Beach. The house was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. We loved being just 3 houses down from the beach and hearing the ocean from the front yard. The property managers were very responsive and even had pack n play set up for us on arrival. We would love to stay here again in the future

Great location and excellent property!

We booked this trip extremely last minute, and feel so lucky this property was available. Proximity to the beach and Belmont Park could not be beat! Plenty of amenities such as beach chairs, boogie boards, and towels. Comfortable beds, good set up in the kitchen dining area, excellent communication with the property manager. Absolutely nothing negative to say!

Perfect getaway

Great property located on mission beach. TLDR review: family of four (2 adults and 2 kids 7,9) loved this house. We would definitely stay here again. Property is the 3rd home from the beach (you can hear the waves and people playing volleyball). Short walk to Belmont park. Several markets, coffe shops, and restaurants within a block or two. You could literally have everything you need within a couple of blocks. As far as the house itself it was perfect. Clean and comfortable. You have a nice large parking spot in the garage. Through the garage you enter into a laundry/utility room (there is a washer and dryer). There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, the master bedroom and a smaller room with a daybed (double mattress on top, twin mattress on the bottom) in it. There is also one large shower, 2 toilets, and 3 sinks. Downstairs has a fully stocked kitchen, a dining room, a living room with many board games and books, a full bathroom, and another bedroom. There are a total of 3 big screen TVs in the house (no cable but they are smart TVs so you can log into your own services). Internet was excellent. The front yard is fenced and south facing (perfect spot for a sunny morning coffee).

Perfect Stay

This house is perfect. Super close to the beach. Very beautiful home with anything you could need for a perfect vacation. Walking distance to Belmont Park and all restaurants and activities there. Even had chairs, boogie boards, etc to use. Great. neighborhood- quiet and safe. Would definitely stay here again.

Sweet cottage with surprising amount of space

We were delighted with this rental. Coming in from the Midwest for a wedding and wanted a place near the beach, so thought we’d try this area for the week. Loved taking long strolls on the boardwalk each morning, and getting some iced coffee at Southern Comfort Kitchen just steps away. Afternoons at the beach and returning to air conditioned comfort was fantastic in August! Our group ended up just being two couples but there would have been plenty of space for the third with the 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. And the open living/dining/kitchen space was a great area to relax and visit. Super clean and updated with plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, toys and towels. (Needn’t have packed our towels). The garage was a plus and we were able to fit our crossover rental in just fine, along with a compact. Kitchen had everything we needed. Our only advice is that you are near the airport so be prepared for the planes from about 6:00 am - 11:00 pm, but we got used to those. And the house has lots of nice, bright windows so maybe bring a sleep mask if you prefer a dark bedroom. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect spot!

The location was IDEAL! Easy walk to the beach, the bay, and Belmont park. We jumped on scooters if we wanted to zip down the road. House was clean and comfortable. Stocked with everything you need. We had our 3 year old and 1 year with us. There was beach toys, books, and some toys in the house. Yard in front is perfect for kids bc its fenced. Neighbors were nice too! Everything was labeled (tv remote, lights, etc) so everything was easy to use. Would come back again for sure!

A little slice of paradise

We're a family of 7, this home has plenty of space and then some. The option of having a heater or an AC was awesome, especially in early April. The home is located in a more residential area with very friendly neighbors and easy access to the beach, which is less than 60 seconds of walking until you hit the boardwalk. The home is within walking distance of Belmont Park and several small, local owned restaurants. The home itself is equipped with everything you need and more! Including, beach chairs and boogie boards. If you're looking to feel at home, this is the rental for you. I can't wait to book it again, in the near future.

Our family had such an amazing San Diego/Beach vacation at the DEAL718 beach house! The location couldn't be better and the house is such a beautiful, clean, very large, well-stocked vacation home. You are only steps from the ocean, Mission Bay, and less than a 5 minute walk from Belmont Park. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would recommend this beach house to anyone visiting from out of town, or San Diego locals just wanting a relaxing vacation at the beach!
