Lovely bungalow, screened in back porch, located in golf cart district, quiet neighborhood. Approximately 5 blocks walking distance to the charming historic St. Marys town center and the well-known "Riverfront" area where nice restaurants, shopping, and ferry to the beautiful Cumberland Island await. Fenced in back yard. 2 bedroom/ 2 full size bath.
Children of all ages welcome. Family Friendly.
Dog friendly.
Golf cart available upon request with additional fees.
Boat friendly neighborhood. Two boat landings within one half a mile.

Our experience at Kai cottage was excellent! The house was clean and very well equipped with many extra touches that made us feel welcome. The pool is a definite plus! The neighborhood was quiet and a good place for a walk. The cottage is conveniently located to town. Stacey was very responsive and communicated well throughout the check in process and the duration of our stay. We would recommend this host and property with enthusiasm!

This house was wonderful! Great location to everything we wanted to see. It had all the comforts of home plus a bonus of an enjoyable pool. So different than other houses we have rented through the years in different locations, this one had everything you needed for a great stay. Stacey was awesome to work with and cared to make sure that we were happy with everything! Would highly recommend this house to anyone.

The check-in was easy with the lock box. Stacey provided great information upfront and also very responsive to questions during the stay. Kai Cottage was a lovely cottage perfect for the two of us and our pupster. Stacey has provided a great stock of all the "home" necessities in the kitchen, bathrooms, and general house. There were several board games available as well as local brochures of around the area. The pool was *amazing* and we enjoyed relaxing in it several times regardless of the weather. And the privacy in the back yard and pool are was also quite good. There are nice bench swings on the back patio that were comfortable and would be enjoyable in cooler weather for sitting outside. I highly recommend Kai Cottage!!!

We had a wonderful vacation at Stacey’s place. The house was cozy and had everything you could possibly think you might need for a stay away from home. The yard was peaceful and the pool was perfect for the extreme heat we had during our stay. Perfect location close to everything in sweet little St. Marys. We hope to stay again!

Perfect stay for our trip to Cumberland Island

I highly recommend Kai Cottage. The host replied quickly and answered any questions we had. Absolutely everything that we needed was provided. I especially appreciate that she left everything for our morning coffee. Even left us a sweet treat. The house was extremely clean. Having our own screened in pool was wonderful especially to jump in to cool off after spending a hot summer day on Cumberland Island. The cottage was right down the street from the ferry and, even in the heat, Cumberland Island was magnificent!! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. We had everything we needed while we were there. You could tell a lot of thought had been put into what a family might need, including items like first aid, bug spray, etc. The pool was very clean and having the screen enclosure over it was great for keeping bugs away and leaves, etc. out of the pool. We would stay here again.

Kai Cottage

Our family of five had an amazing stay at Kai Cottage! This charming 2-bedroom, 2-bath home was incredibly clean and well-stocked with thoughtful amenities you don’t usually find in typical rentals. Everything was just as described — if not better!We especially loved the saltwater pool — perfect for cooling off and relaxing. The back patio was peaceful and private, a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Communication with the property owner was excellent throughout — responsive and kind.The location was another huge plus. We were just minutes from:•Local beaches – beautiful, clean, and family-friendly•Shopping and dining – lots of options just a short drive away•Nature trails and parks – perfect for walks, biking, and Kai Cottage was the perfect home base for our family vacation — quiet, cozy, and close to everything. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-appointed getaway spot.

GREAT!

Cute, cute, cute. The house makes good use of its small footprint. All standard stuff was good- excellent AC, comfy beds that don’t squeak, good water pressure, washer/dryer in good condition, well-stocked kitchen appliances, linens and towels (and pool towels). The special part of Kai is the backyard! There’s a covered screened porch, a small deck, a grill, a place for Fido to run free bc the property is gated, and then the screened-in salt pool. Fantastic. The fences are high enough for serious privacy, the trees are great canopy so not too hot. Loved the place and plan to return. The neighborhood is quiet/family and you’re 2 blocks off the main road.

I live in Jacksonville with two small pups and I wanted a place to get away that was not too far away and this property I found it was absolutely fantastic.The pool is fenced. The backyard is fenced and my little escape artist Havanese could not find any way to get out of the yard. That is such a comfort for any dog owner.The pool seems like you’re in a natural spring. It is so lovely. The house is one that I have never seen more equipped with anything that you could possibly imagine and 10 times more than that.The host is very responsive and follows up with any questions Within. It seem like minutes.I cannot say enough about how amazing this rental property is. I’ve already told the host that I will be back.While I was there, I did go hiking at crooked River State Park. It is huge and lovely. The rest of my day I didn’t wanna leave the property at all. I even called DoorDash so I didn’t have to go out.I’m planning another visit in the fall already! This property is a wonderful find.

Just Amazing

Stacey has thought of everything. The cottage is so cute. Very well stocked with everything you would need. Clean and comfortable!The pool was amazing, and she even had floats and toys to use! I highly recommend this place! Waking up in the morning and sitting in the enclosed porch, watching birds and squirrels while drinking my coffee was just so relaxing, i fell asleep many times, which is just what I wanted and needed.All around amazing!

QUIET AND COZY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We rented it for the spring break 2025. It is a cozy property in a quiet neighborhood. Stacey took care of every detail. The house was stuck with those things you need, from coffee to toothpaste. We have a great time there. Thanks, Stacey, for such a nice gateway.

Home Away From Home

We loved the quiet neighborhood setting. The back yard was a perfect place to sit and relax. It was totally fenced in which was great for our GoldenDoodle. The pool was beautiful, but unfortunately it was a bit cold for swimming in February.
