I needed a place with kitchen and laundry for my in-laws to stay for two weeks during their move here. Good communication prior to stay. Not far from Spearfish, so that was nice. House was ok. In-laws wanted to leave right away due to the smell and bugs.First problem was the map directions are slightly wrong, so you gotta figure out how to actually get there, and the house is not marked/numbered. Very difficult/dangerous to find in the dark. Second, walking in it smelled very musty/damp-reminded me of when you walk into a hotel room where the air has been off, so I figured the smell would go away--it did not. Every time I came in I could smell it. The entire place has carpet (incl kitchen) so I'm guessing there's some water damage/dampness under there. Third, the bugs in the house. Every day there were wasps/hornets/bees whatever you call them, gnats, flies, and spiders inside. One night a garter snake came in, probably looking to snack on the bugs. Fourth, it would have been nice to have some guidance on how to use the TV (not everyone is techy) and where the light switches are (check the closet). Lots of kitchen items, but many items were dirty/abused/stuff needs to be gone through and cleaned or disposed. Finally, and this is personal preference, but the owner was there just about every day working on an outbuilding right next to the house, which was a little awkward. OK stay if you don't mind feeling gross/dirty from the smell.
