STR Host License # 002390 Situated near the summit of Double Knob Mountain in Ellijay, Georgia, Mountain Ridge Retreat offers breathtaking views on all levels. Enjoy the adventure as you drive up the mountain. FWD/4WD recommended. Recline back and enjoy the view from the upper deck. Cozy up to the small fireplace on the main deck or enjoy a meal at the outdoor dining area. Jump in the hot tub or lounge around on the swing on the lower deck. Or head back inside and gather around the pool table. The firepit is great for stories and smores. The Retreat is conveniently located 20 minutes from Ellijay and Blue Ridge for shopping and dining. We are also steps away from the Benton Mackeye Trail. The Mountain Ridge Retreat offers 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms and is a hiker's delight and pet friendly. We offer HULU live and Disney Plus. FWD/4WD recommended. You will be driving up and down a mountain.

The gravel road to the cabin was rough. 17 minutes on extremely bumpy gravel road. The cabin was great, just wish it was easier to get to.

The cabin was wonderful! It is so spacious and lots of places to gather and make memories. We loved the screened in porch with our furbabies. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed. There was even shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers. The beds were SO COMFY!!! We all agreed that the beds and linens were wonderful. There was even a heated mattress pad on the kind bed downstairs.Mae is a great host with a beautiful cabin. The roads getting there were steep and bumpy.

We had the best weekend! The place was ideal as it has plenty of space, while plenty of common areas and so many things to do - pool, darts, board games etc. The hosts provides basically anything you need in the kitchen - appliances, pots, pans etc. The cabin was super clean and the beds were very comfy with some pretty amazing views!

Mae was an amazing host! Very responsive to texts, etc and the cabin was so homey and welcoming. I believe they have the best view on the mountain! We will definitely book again!

I loved this cabin. Clean, comfortable, and great views. We had our dogs, so having the fenced yard and screened porch so they could be alongside without stress was a huge bonus.

Clean, comfy and cozy cabin with amazing views!

We enjoyed a girl's getaway here and this cabin was perfect for us! It had everything we needed to cook all of our meals and to just relax. We especially enjoyed the amazing sunrises coming up over the mountains - absolutely stunning views!

Beautiful home with all the amenities you need to have a great time ! Views and screened in deck is spectacular, as well as all the games to keep the fun going. Challenging road, but worth it.

Wonderful Mountain View’s! Beautifully clean cabin with everything you can possibly need! The kitchen was fully equipped! Beds were very comfortable! Fun game room! Great communication with the owner highly recommend this cabin get away!!!

The house was great. Comfortable beds and great views. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and the little details that made the house cozy. Mae was a great hostess, easy to contact. My only complaint was the dirt mountain road to get there. You should have 4wheel drive.

Mae was an excellent host; we communicated on weather, bears, a burned out light bulb (to put on her to-do list), and how honored we were that she shared her property. The east facing view of Double Knob, ridge, distant Rich Mountains, and the clouds were perfect; sunrises were spectacular so be sure to get up early. The kitchen & pantry had all the pots, pans, tools, and appliances one could wish for. We were also impressed by the bar-related glassware that included wine and beer glasses as well as multiple shot glasses (we only needed one) & a mixing glass for my martini’s (thank you Mae for this!). The bed we used (main floor) was comfortable and there were multiple style pillows to choose from. WiFi speed was excellent. Water pressure and temperature was never an issue. The seven member murder of crows was fun to watch and listen to. And the bears! We had a mama & cub feeding on the slope below the porch on a 3-4 day cycle (we were here for 18 days), so we saw them four times; another two bears wandered through as well; and, there were two others seen on our homeward ride down the mountain. The hot tub was perfect for soaking. Loved the pool table too! CC (our girl cat) camped out on the main floor porch during the day and alerted us to the presence of the bears. Our all-wheel drive RAV4 had no issues with the mountain road.

Perfect Getaway

Beautiful property, well maintained and provisioned. Fantastic scenery with abundant wildlife, room to roam or just sit. Perfect place for a few days away. We will be back.

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful time ! The cabin was just as pictured, incredibly clean and so cozy! Highly recommend. Only think I’d recommend is an SUV toget there.

What an amazing place!

The home is gorgeous and well stocked but the views are amazing! We went hiking and came back to relax in the hot tub and enjoyed the beautiful night sky.
