Some ups and downs, but overall pleasant stay. DOWNS:1. No early check in, no matter who says you can. The door cannot be unlocked with your code until 3pm on the dot (programmed via computer system). We were told by several people at various times leading up to our stay that we could get in early, including the morning of our arrival, making it extra frustrating after the long drive to just sit in the driveway.2. There’s no door knob on the front door. You use a keypad to unlock and then just push the door open. That being said, if you want to shut the door you have to lock it. Very frustrating when you’re trying to load/unload the car and the door keeps flying open because you don’t want to constantly use the key pad to lock and unlock as you’re making consecutive trips in and out, especially with a pet in tow.3. The driveway is scary steep. We go to Big Canoe all the time so that’s normal, but this one is anxiety inducing and you cannot park on the street and walk down.4. The bathroom off one of the main rooms is completely carpeted. You get out of the shower onto carpet. It’s just off putting and kinda gross.UPS:1. INCREDIBLE VIEWS FROM EVERY ROOM! 2. Both living rooms are comfy and can host a group easily. 3. The broken heater didn’t bother us because we kept a fire going in the fireplace.4. Pet friendly even for a cat (other than the door issue).
