Perfect villa!

Villa Kali is a great spot. My husband and I stayed for just over a week. The location was fantastic, and had all the amenities. Comfortable king size bed, clean and well stocked. Everything you need to enjoy your time on the island!

Trip to St. Bart’s

My wife and I spent 8 nights here for our anniversary trip! The place was incredible and Edie was very helpful giving local knowledge. St. Bart’s is an amazing place and Villa Kali was a big part of a special trip. Thanks Edie for sharing your beautiful home for the week.

Another perfect stay!

This is our second visit at Villa Kali and it was amazing to be home again! The island is still rebuilding from Irma but the villa is just as amazing as our last visit. As always, Edie was a fabulous host and was available to answer any questions. The villa is fully stocked for any cooking you might want to do, it is stocked with anything you might want for bringing a lunch to the beach, comfy beach towels and chairs are provided and of course the best view on St Barth’s. Thank you again Edie!!!

Only one negative...

Our only real complaint was that we had to initiate all communication with the owner prior to our stay. There only texts and emails in answer to our requests. A few days before leaving we had to inquire as to directions to drive to the house from Avis ( across the street from the airport). We also had to ask for how to access the house. We have never entered a rental property that was unlocked upon our arrival. Although we felt very safe on island, this was a bit disconcerting. We have travelled extensively so we are very familiar with VRBO, and private owner procedures. With regard to the directions we were given, there are no street addresses. The GPS coordinates we were given were unreliable due to poor reception at times. IF we had been provided written directions it would have helped so much. The directions were provided AT THE HOUSE but at that point once we had finally arrived they were useless. We stopped at two different homes in the area and as lovely and helpful as they were, even they couldn't find the location. On the positive side, the villa was well maintained and very spacious for the two of us. The view was really pretty and we enjoyed it very much.

Brian, Thank you for your feed back. I sent you written directions in addition to the GPS directions back in January to your personal email per your request. I resent the GPS directions before you arrived. I received a call from Avis before you left the airport asking me where the villa was located. I told them where it was, and advised them that you had both written and GPS directions. We do not have addresses the way you do in the States with a number proceeding the street. If I gave you an address it would have done nothing for you. In addition, I took two calls from you to try and explain where the house was located. You mentioned mailboxes. There are mailboxes everywhere, so it’s difficult to know which mailboxes you were referring to. I tried my best to help you. In general documents are sent out to clients one week out. That has been my policy since I started renting the property. I have never had any complaints, nor has anyone gotten lost. I’m sorry that this happened to you. Best regards, Edie

Wonderful!!

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Kali. This property is beautiful and exactly as shown in the photos. The views from the balcony are incredible! We enjoyed the private plunge pool and the stunning sunrises every morning. As former Bed and Breakfast owners and world travellers, we are very fussy and we must say that Villa Kali exceeded all of our expectations. Edie is a very kind and professional owner who communicated with us thoroughly and quickly. All of her recommendations were great! The location of the Villa made it very easy to enjoy the entire Island. Thank you Edie for being so gracious and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to returning. Heavenly View

We had stayed for two weeks in May 2018, and returned for two weeks in June 2019. The property is beautiful, well located, and has a fabulous view. It is a quick drive to the markets, bakery, and beaches. Nice pool with loungers. The property is comfortable, well equipped, and has a safe. There were beach chairs and an umbrella (that we replaced when it broke.). Maid service three times per week. The owner, Edie, responds very quickly to any questions.

Great time at Villa Kali!!

What can we say about the villa. It was terrific. Great location, great sunrises, a wonderful plunging pool to cool off during sunbathing a very comfortable villa. We felt like we were home. Very clean kitchen had all the necessary appliances. We will never forget our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect. Thanks for all your help Edie. We plan to go back to Villa Kali again next year.

Amazing View

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Villa Kali. Couldn't have picked a better villa. It was the perfect size for 2 and had all the amenities we needed. What a spectacular view. Caught the sunrise a few times, so beautiful. There was a regatta going on and we could see all the sailboats rounding the island from our villa. Loved having the pool too! The villa is positioned so it's very private. Edie was great. When we needed extra beach towels she delivered them even though it wasn't a maid service day. Loved having the villa cleaned several times during our stay. We did do some cooking and we had all the utensils we needed. Perfect vacation!!!

Wonderful stay in a great Villa for two

Second time to St Bart’s first time in a villa,it worked really well for us. Villa Kali is ideal for two with a wonderful view and most important ....total privacy. This very well equipped villa is nicely located with a great view and a plunge pool that was great. Meeting the owner on site was an added bonus, Edie is an energetic very personable and helpful person who was very responsive when we needed a beach umbrella. We were met and taken to the villa and shown around by Vincent who was very pleasant. The villa is as pictured and will not disappoint. Edie did a little provisioning for us as requested, which was greatly appreciated. We would recommend Villa Kali, it is away from the “crowds” but nothing is far on this 10 sq. mile island. Thank you Edie.

Spectacular views

Villa Kali is located in the hills of Vitet. It was, as expected, good value for the money. It was a bit windy but we loved the seclusion, privacy, pool, sundeck and the spectacular views of Grand cul de sac. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped. I would recommend this home away from home. Make sure that you have private reliable transportation especially during high season. Taxi service is largely unavailable.

Villa avec une vue magnifique

Our stay at Villa Kali was wonderful and the view each night and morning was magnificent. Edie went out of her way to ensure that we arrived safely at the Villa, despite the delay in our arrival due to the weather in St. Martin and St. Bart's and her recommendations for restaurants as well as beaches to visit were spot on. We loved watching the sunrise each morning and sitting out at night looking down at the Villas and Hotels of Grande Cul De Sac while drinking our French wine and eating our breads and cheeses from the various stores on the island. The island is still recovering from the Hurricane in September 2017 and some restaurants are still yet to open, but the ones on the island that were open were great and the beaches on the island were all open and in great shape. Thanks Edie for also stopping by while you were visiting the island. We loved talking with you and learning about your family and your experience growing up on this island.

Lovely views from this cute one bedroom house

We had a wonderful week vacation staying at Edie’s home. Loved sitting out on the porch in the early mornings & evenings enjoying the beautiful views. Very comfortable house in a great location. Edie was a wonderful hostess & contacted a friend to meet us at the airport when we arrived & drive us to her house.....this was very much appreciated. Love St Barts

Amazing private villa with incredible views

This place is amazing! The villa overlooks beautiful Grand Cul de Sac and the views are to die for. This place is perfect for a couple looking to get away. Edie was wonderful as well. She was communicative leading up to our vacation and provided us with amazing reccomendations on things to do and see. There was even a cold bottle of Rose and water in the fridge upon arrival. Much needed and appreciated after a long day of travel. This island is absolutely magical, and this villa is too! Completely private and independent villa with a small private pool. Highly, highly recommended! Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Edie for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

Amazing Villa Kali

Villa Kali is an amazing private paradise in St. Barth. We stayed for more than a week this time, and could not have been happier with our decision. The house is perfectly situated to give you magnificent views out over Grand Cul de Sac. The constant breeze is incredibly refreshing and keeps you comfortable at all times of the day. We spent 90% of our time outside the house by the pool, in the cool breeze, the sun... it is really tremendous. We spent many an evening out by the pool enjoying the red wine we bought in town, or sipping cocktails by the pool looking out on the spectacular view of the Caribbean. The view here and on Shell Beach are two of the reasons we keep coming back to Villa Kali and are among the most enjoyable aspects of our trip! It is a great home, in a great location, run by excellent and professional people.

Everything we expected and more!

My husband and I just got home from our week in paradise and we are already planning our next trip back! We decided on Villa Kali because of the amazing reviews and the photos and we were NOT disappointed! The views were just spectacular and being in Vitet, you are away from the bustle of Lorient and St. Jean but can easily drive anywhere on the small island. Edie was also such a pleasure to work with and provided us with a lot of very helpful information and recommendations. We would recommend this villa to anyone!

When I'm not working, I'm in St. Barths or St. Thomas visiting family, ballroom dancing, canoeing, snorkeling, and traveling of course!

Villa Kali is a dream come true for me. I remember sitting on my Grandfather's knee as a small child watching the stars at night. He was a builder, and I would tell him that some day he would build my house for me. Well, my Grandfather passed away before I was old enough to build a house, but I still followed my dream.
Today, Villa Kali sits on the land that was once owned by my Grandfather and his father before that. I love sharing my home with visitors to the island. I want them to experience the beauty and love that I have for this little piece of paradise that I call my home.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Sitting by the pool early in the morning, croissant and tea in hand waiting for the most beautiful sunrise to start the day. I also love that I can slide all the glass doors into the walls and catch a wonderful breeze in the house, while watching the ocean and doing dishes. Simply delicious.
This is a great little "island" house, built in the local tradition...come enjoy your time on St. Barths at Villa Kali!
