The Space:

A tree-lined driveway leading up to the house, which offers seclusion and mountain views while still being accessible to fashionable Hudson, with its local shops, bars and restaurants.

The newly renovated 2-floor home with wraparound deck looks out toward the Catskill Mountains and is situated on four quiet acres with an unheated in-ground pool*, perfect for leisurely summer days and crisp fire pit evenings.

The main floor flows through an open plan dining room and living room, with a pellet stove and record collection, to the well-stocked kitchen and on to a cozy sunroom with a wood stove. Guests will enjoy browsing through tastefully placed stacks of fashion and design periodicals, accented with knick knacks showcasing the homeowners’ superb design aesthetic. There are two full bathrooms, one on the main floor and one on the top floor.

The stairwell to the top floor opens up directly into a sleeping loft with panoramic views of the mountains and low set bed. Then follow the hallway to the two enclosed bedrooms.

Hudson Hill House is a much needed getaway from the city. At just a little over 2 hours north of New York, guests may wish to just hole up with friends, family and some local groceries for the weekend, or use the house as a home base for exploring the Catskills and Hudson Valley. The property is perfectly located for adventures, with short drives to world-class hiking, antiquing, brunch and pubs.

Hudson Hill House, is located in the Hudson Valley, in the city of Hudson. This town has lots of explore-worthy stores and restaurants. Grab a coffee at Moto or a breakfast sandwich at Kitty's. Shop antiques at The Warehouse or the many shops on Warren. Dine at Rivertown Lodge or Lil Deb's Oasis, or Half Moon for casual pizza. Grab cocktails at Backbar or Lawrence Park or explore the various hikes around the Catskills. Getting Around:
Hudson Hill House is less than 2.5 hours from New York City, and while you'll definitely want a car to get to and around the area, there is also the Amtrak stop in Hudson about 10 minutes away, with taxi services available ahead of time. In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.

Other Things to Note:
Cooling: There are A/C Window Units in living room and both upstairs bedrooms. There is a box fan provided for the loft.

* The staircase in this property is a bit steep and may be difficult for kids or guests with mobility issues.
