Brilliant views of nature in a serene setting on the Marsh. The surrounding wooded areas and Marsh land are teeming with life! A massive, screened back porch has breath taking views of the marsh and a distant tidal stream of water. Enjoy the view from two porch swings or decorative sofa. Backyard pavers contain multi outdoor seating to cozy up to the beautiful fire pit. Relax as you wait for your steaks to come off the nearby grill. The front offers an open porch with rocking chairs and a full view of the landscaped grounds. White gravel in a semi-circular driveway makes easy access and exit to the property. Ample parking on the side as well.
Savannah Georgia is North in less than an hour’s drive. Southbound takes you to Brunswick and the famous Golden Isles Beaches in about the same amount of time. Ideally situated for viewing multiple coastal and historical sites along the way in either direction. Nearby Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge is perfect for nature lovers. If bringing your boat to fish I highly recommend the Fishing Village of Shellman Bluff, approximately 5 miles away. Sapelo Hammock Golf Course situated in Shellman Bluff is known to be an excellent golf course. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the Golden Isles beaches near Brunswick. If you love history, a visit to nearby Darien, is also a must. Bird Nest is perfect for relaxation, golfing, fishing or sightseeing. Bring your bicycles for a peaceful ride along Julienton Drive or if you prefer easier travel Sand Gnats golf carts on Shellman Bluff has cart rentals. Come relax and nest in this beautifully renovated 5 Star home.

Wonderful stay! Place could not have been cleaner. Easy check in & beautiful place. Porch is fabulous. Everything we needed was provided - coffee, laundry detergent, extra towels, extra blankets. Bedrooms were extremely comfortable. Great stay & host. Absolutely would come back. Kitchen is also well stocked if you’re looking to cook.

Birds nest is a sanctuary. Quiet, clean. Well thought out decor and amenities. You are 20-30 minutes from most restaurants. The food in the area is worth the drive. The host is very attentive. Highly recommend staying here

Family vacation

Everything was wonderful, location house clean and well presented. Decor and comfort was beyond measure. Property manager was well versed with the area and the property. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Peaceful at the Nest

Thanksgiving weekend, cottage was so beautifully ,decor, beds so comfortable , fire pit enjoyed smores, back screened porch so nice to relaxe, swings so nice. This is absolutely perfect. Thank you will definitely return to the Nest.

Our family has stayed at the Bird Nest two times over the last year. The home is immaculate and is decorated so tastefully with the theme of “Bird Nest.” The atmosphere is completely relaxing and the beds are super comfortable. The back porch is amazing for sipping morning coffee and drinking evening wine overlooking the marsh with comfortable outdoor furniture and two porch swings. The host provides toothbrushes, body wash, shampoo, firewood, grilling tools, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back many times in the future. Ultimate relaxation with all of the comforts of home!

The house was spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped with high quality cookware and utensils. The large screened porch was lovely. The location was peaceful. Located within easy walking distance of the Harris Neck NWR. Well equipped for bird lovers with binocs and bird books and there were games to play in the evenings. Yellow throated warblers were nesting right next to the porch in the Spanish moss. Judith was an amazing host and went out of her way to help us when we left an important item in the house after checkout.

Perfect in every way

Absolutely perfect in every detail. Decorating, construction, supplies, appliances, beds, outdoors, indoors absolutely the best. The porch and backyard were wonderful. When we had to leave one of the party mentioned that we had never turned on the TV..... no need. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. Memories forever

There are no surrounding houses. Only the beauty of the Marsh and woodlands. The location is an approximate midway point between Florida and South Carolina. Ample opportunity to explore 3 states from this beautiful central local.
