Come for the quiet and the ocean. This spacious three bedroom home in West Cape May is surrounded by green but an easy walk to beaches, restaurants, wineries, and farmers' markets. With Beach Plum Farm about a five minute walk from the house past fields and a farmers' market, the landscape is an exhalation. From the second floor you can glimpse the lighthouse at Cape May Point, and you’ll reach its beach by walking through a nature conservancy filled with birds. Some days you can hear the ocean from the front porch. Look for dolphins at sunset and visit the Harriet Tubman Museum to learn Cape May’s incredible abolitionist history. In the winter, roast marshmallows in the backyard fire pit under so many stars, and in summer, walk to Duckie's Farm Stand for sublime rice pudding. Year-round activities include whale watching, horseback riding, and beach walks. Swinging chairs on the front porch, a second dining space in the screened back porch, and a large backyard. The house is a refuge.
Three bedrooms with queen beds, each with plenty of space for an air mattress (provided, twin-size). One bedroom also has a trundle bed (two twin beds). The nook on the second floor has a futon that converts to a double bed, but there is no door for this area. The sunroom is separated from the kitchen by folding doors: the couches in there could be used for sleeping, though they are not fold-out.
