The house was very comfortable and cozy. We had trouble getting into the neighborhood due to icy roads but full time residents there were so kind and helped us out. The host was kind and called the president of the HOA to find out what time the roads would be treated in the morning so the rest of our group could finish the drive from Frostburg where they stopped for night due to snow. The host also made sure to let me know that Walmart would deliver groceries so I didn't have to worry about going back out in the snow the next day. Very helpful because I never would have even thought of it. We even got a phone call from Macy (host) on morning #2 to be sure all was well. The deck has a gate at the top of the stairs which was awesome for our dogs to be able to go out and play in the snow while we stayed warm inside. The fireplace was easy to use and really made the common areas cozy and relaxing. The neighborhood was nice for walking the dogs but be ready for the little hills which were great for the dogs and kids but a little challenging for us older folks with bad knees walking on ice. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to feed our group of 6. A nice touch was the towels on the beds and bottles of water left for each of us to get us started. I would definitely book another stay here but I will make sure I'm more prepared for icy roads if we book in the winter! I must say, the snow blanketing the area made for a very pretty setting.
