Peaceful Cabin with Boat Dock along the Black River

2 bedroom mobile home, converted to a cabin on the Black River. The bathroom has been renovated. Large windows allow excellent views of the river. Sit on the deck or 3 season room and watch the boats go by. Linens and towels are not provided with the rental, you will have to bring your own, there is a laundry unit for your convenience. There is a private boat dock. Bring your own boat to fish / cruise the river or head out to Black Lake. Black Lake is 10,000 acres with several sandy beach areas to stop and a swim. There are also 2 Kayaks to paddle the river down to the damn or out to the lake. Bring your ATVs, ride to the Black Mountain Recreation Area and 2 extensive trail systems. "The best ATV area in Lower Michigan" The cabin is close to several bars / restaurants and golf courses. 15 minutes from Downtown Cheboygan and 40 minutes from Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island.

Lovely little cabin on the river

This riverside cabin was perfect for what we needed - a spot near Cheboygan where we could work during the day and relax in the evenings. Wifi strong enough to support large Zoom meetings in kitchen, three-season porch and deck. Everything very clean and cute, and kitchen well-stocked! We loved the river and were particularly fond of the pretty early-morning mists that floated over it. Owners were kind and accommodating, with great communication. We would stay again when in the area.

Honeymoon at Black River Cabin

It was a beautiful location and pleasant for the most part. The bathroom has no exhaust fan and mold around the toilet, definitely an issue with my being pregnant. The listing stated WIFI which was important for us as our son was with babysitters who couldn't contact us at the cabin. Wasn't nearly clean enough for being charged a cleaning fee and having to sweep before we left.

Had a great stay. It was a nice base for our excursions to Mackinac Islabd and the UP. It was nice being able to catch fish right from the dock on the property.

Quiet retreat

The house was very cute and quaint. It's on a really nice river. It brought back a lot of good childhood memories and was a very comfortable stay. Being a dog friendly place to stay was really nice and accommodating. Upgrades were nice and the place was very clean.

Canin is newly remodeled with easy access to river and black lake. aside from a bit of a cold rainy start we enjoyed the property and the surrounding area. property was clean and well maintained.

What an amazing stay, this place is a little slice of heaven. Whether it's relaxing on the property around the fire, or out on the dock, you'll love this place. They have the house stocked with basically anything you could need and take very good care of it as well. Hope to come back!

Amazing, peaceful, & immaculate views

We came for a birthday weekend & ended with realizing we all needed a calm peaceful weekend. The house was perfect to relax & have fun on the kayaks. Enjoyed having coffee on the dock in the morning & end the day with a cocktail. This is truly a diamond. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

Relaxing Vacation

Absolutely loved our stay at Peaceful Cabin. It was clean! It lived up to its name of "Peaceful Cabin" and was very relaxing and quite. Loved being close to the water and central to various cities in Michigan. We were roughly 25 miles to the UP which was perfect! Will be renting again.

Comfortable, Quiet Place

Nice place to stay for a week while in town for a seminar. Shades in the bedroom would have been nice as the sheer curtains let in a lot of light. There is very low cell signal, so this should probably be noted in the description for those who may have emergency calls they have to be available for. Owners are very nice and respectful of privacy.

Property is off main roads. Very peaceful. Had to basically leave property for internet or phone service. I found it nice to disconnect. Just too bad that it rained for most of our stay.

My wife and I have owned this property for 30 years. We enjoy the peaceful surroundings and dining at the local establishments via ATV or boat. In addition to,. short boat rides on the river or longer excursions on the Lake. We are new to hosting and hoping to share the property with guests that will enjoy the same activities.

The property is usually very quiet and tranquil like you would expect being on a river. Wild life is abundant, we have seen plenty of deer, a badger, mink, weasels, beaver, a bear crossing the river and many different birds. You will see boaters, kayakers and fisherman enjoying the waterway.

This property is unique in that it is riverfront that leads to a very large uncrowded lake, close to ATV trails and hole 14 of Rippling Rapids Golf Course. is at the end of the drive.
