Really enjoyed the cottage and the location to the lake access was paramount for our activities. The host were very helpful and always just a phone call away if issues did arise.

Everything about this place made my heart happy! The host was amazing about communicating. The cabin was the sweetest space. The little town was charming. The lake was right across the street. I loved it all and cannot wait to go back!

Nice place with a view of the lake. Plenty of parking for truck and boat trailer. The water was very low this year which made it difficult to maneuver the boat under the bridge to get out to the lake. Other than that nice place. Easy to contact the owner with any questions.

Stayed for a week with my family and had a great time. The house was easy for my Mom to navigate with her walker. The kitchen had just about everything you might need. The canal was awesome to have right there to park my fishing boat. As some of the other reviews say, the entrance to the canal was pretty shallow due to the lake level being low, but I was able to navigate it just fine with my 16 ft boat. There's a boat launch right across the street, but it looked a little sketchy, and with the lake being low, I didn't attempt it. There's a decent public ramp a few minutes away, right next to the Landings resort and marina. Kris was great to deal with - great communication. I would definitely stay again!

It was wonderful

This place was so nice. The house was clean and the rooms spacious. The house is very welcoming, cutely decorated and easy to feel at home in. It has a great front porch facing the lake, and a nice picnic table, also out front…the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. The fire pit out back with chairs and marshmallow sticks provided made for great evenings of making s’mores and memories with our granddaughters! We enjoyed seeing the geese, ducks and swans with their babies swimming in the lake and canal.We visited Burt lake and went to Aloha park both approximately 10 minutes from the house. We also made the trip to Mackinac only a short 30 minute drive. It is so close to a lot of northern Michigan attractions we just ran out of time. We did have a couple of rainy days that we spent indoors playing the games provided.The kitchen was clean and had all the necessary equipment and utensils to cook. Dishwasher pods and dish soap were provided. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood.Kris and Karen were the perfect hosts. Kris was in contact before,(giving us the code to get in), during( checking to make sure we didn’t have any problems with check in)and after our stay( just to wish us safe travels) We even got a sweet little thank you gift.We would absolutely recommend this place, and will definitely be staying there again.

We had a nice, comfortable stay at Anni’s Cottage. It was really clean, nicely equipped and the owners provided everything needed for a week long stay such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, and garbage bags. For me, a couple things worth mentioning because these are so hard to come across in most vacation rentals is that Anni’s Cottage had good, sharp knives and good quality pillows. My kids made use of the kayaks in the shed that you can either walk across the street to the lake public access or drop right into the canal and paddle out to the lake. We brought our 23’ I/O boat and were able to dock it safely at the seawall in the canal. The canal directly behind the house was plenty deep enough for our boat. However, the canal entry and first part of the canal until you go under the bridge was very shallow. Mullet Lake water level is lower than normal this year which made navigating the first part of the canal difficult. The skeg hit bottom (which is soft) a couple times throughout the week and it’s VERY important to approach the canal entry favoring the right side as there are some rocks on the left. I knocked 1 star off for listing accuracy because it states there is air conditioning, but there is not. It was only an issue for us the first 2 nights and the floor fans in the house were pretty weak and do not circulate air well, but then it cooled down and the rest of the week was comfortable.

The canal was dredged on my side of the bridge and they were supposed to do other side either this year or next. The lake was extremely high in the beginning of the season, but with the wisdom of the state they have been draining it for 2 months. We look forward to having you back in the future.
