If you are at your wit's end, this is your country retreat! You can fill the house with 8 people or just enjoy the quiet setting of this old farm house alone. Newly remodeled and ready for guests, you can borrow a book from the reading library, play games at the farm table and enjoy coffee on the swivel chairs in the kitchen. The home sets on 4.5 acres only 20 minutes from downtown Fort Wayne, 10 minutes to Lutheran Hospital, and 10 minutes from the town of Roanoke shopping and dining!

Our stay was delightful. We loved the charm of the house and the safe feeling of the neighborhood. If we could have stayed at Cort's home the whole vacation, we certainly would have done so. I chose this home because of the huge yard and the 'Witt's End' sign at the driveway. (That's how I felt trying to find a place to fit our needs.) We were definitely NOT at our witts end when staying there! It was a peaceful treasure.
The Roann Covered Bridge is a short drive away.
The North Manchester Covered Bridge is near the Roann Covered Bridge and that is why we were in Indiana! We visited 44 covered bridges around the state in six days!

Property was well appointed true to photos and well stocked. Grill needed propane. Texted property owner and received new tank in minutes. Owner was very responsive and friendly. We have stayed at numerous properties over the years and this was a favorite

Cort was very kind & helpful. It felt like home! The history & beautiful accommodations were amazing. Loved the quiet & solitude. We hated to leave. Loved evening walks around the property. We plan on staying again in the future.We recommend it highly!

Peaceful

This place is awesome, it has a huge yard and tons of trees. It's so peaceful! We were in town for a wedding, so we didn't get to use the porch, but it looked amazing. I loved the jack-and-jill bathrooms. Perfect for a big group. The only problem was we didn't get the check-in info right away, but the owner called as soon as he saw my message. Everything worked out great.

Long time friends getaway

We loved the whole experience. I loved that there was only 1 TV. We played games, worked puzzles, read books, and did a lot of talking and laughing. We did watch our church services on the TV on Sunday. It was so peaceful and relaxing there. Loved the old farmhouse with the conveniences of the added addition. We will definitely be back next year.

Excellent place to stay

We only stayed one night, but once we arrive we wished we were staying longer. The place is beautiful, quite, relaxing, and comfortable. It's absolutely perfect for large groups and families.

Perfect Thanksgiving Respite

We were in town for Thanksgiving, visiting family. Cort's place was larger than what we needed but was perfect. We were comfortable and cozy during a cold snap. Will definitely stay again when visiting the area. Cort's communication was great. 10/10 recommend!

So relaxing!

This was perfect for our family get-away weekend. It is a beautiful, relaxing setting and the house is set up perfectly for multiple family members. We loved the sitting areas, the beds were very comfy and the kitchen perfect for our cooking needs. Cort was super-accommodating with some requests we had, and excellent with communication.

Getaway for a Wedding and to Relax

This is a beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed the serenity and the wide open surroundings. We came to town for our son’s wedding and got a chance to relax and spend some much needed family time together. We even had a corn-hole tournament, courtesy of the corn-hole set provided by the host. I never knew how boastful my grandsons were until they won the game. The host prepared home well with all the stuff you’ll ever need. It’s home away from home. Thanks Cort for being a “Great Host” Kevin

Sister Getaway

Communication with Cort was wonderful! Very helpful and responsive. The house was in a great location and was close to activities in Fort Wayne and Roanoke. Beds were comfy and the house had a great family room where we played games and visited with each other for hours.
