STONE RIVERSIDE COTTAGE is just a few steps from the SASSAFRAS RIVERS edge

This one of a kind spot is located on the beautiful Sassafras River. Tranquility mixed with nature at its best on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This cozy stone cottage offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with loved ones, family or friends. It is perfect for a couples get-away. It is situated on one acre and is a stone's throw from the river. From watching a passing boat, to bird watching, fishing or kyacking , there is plenty to admire and enjoy. It offers a full kitchen including quartzite countertops, stove/oven , microwave and refrigerator/freezer. There is one bedroom with a TV and a queen sofa bed in open floor plan. There is a knotty pine board ceiling thru out the cottage. The bathroom features a glass shower with a pebble stone floor. The magnificent view from the large windows is fantastic. A swing from the tree is relaxing along with the andirondack chairs near the fire- pit. A table and chairs for dinner sits beautifully on the porch near the barbecue grill.

This was our second stay at the Stone Riverside Cottage, and it won't be our last. The cottage itself is clean and comfortable, the setting is luxuriously peaceful, and the owners are very kind and accommodating. We highly recommend it to others.

It's a beautiful property with calming views of the river on three sides. It was a quiet retreat after days of hustle and bustle of a holiday get-together with nearby family.Everything we needed was available. The furniture was comfortable as was the bed. The appliances are new.Tami is an excellent host and very accessible.We really enjoyed our stay despite the brutal weather!

The cottage was a great location and Tami is a wonderful person as well as a great hostess. Check—in was seamless; all the water toys (kayaks etc.) were in excellent condition, and the furnishing were very comfortable.

A tucked away gem that reminds me of a Conde Nast "FIND". Simple, elegant and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. If you want to disappear in simplicity, this is the spot! It is a guest house on a larger gated property just at the edge of a curve of the Sassafras. Only 20 feet from the water! Wildlife galore and smart amenities. HIGHLY recommend!

This place is just perfect!! If you’re looking for a place with a beautiful view and a time to relax and unwind, this is ideal! The kitchen has all you could need, the furnishings are beautiful and comfortable, and the decor is lovely. I can’t say enough positive things about the cottage. And then you have that absolutely perfect swing to sit and watch the birds dive for fish, the boats and kayaks go by, and just the beauty of the water. My sister and I had a truly memorable weekend and I have a feeling we will be back!The owner goes above and beyond and she made our stay impeccable.

This is the most quaint cottage on the most peaceful bend of the Sassafras river I could dream of. We had everything we needed for a lovely long weekend, including comfy couches, kitchen tools, and decks of playing cards. From watching birds to kayaking on the river, the property is a proper getaway from everything else while never feeling like youre roughing it. Tami even provided a cake and balloons to help us celebrate a birthday. That same thoughtfulness extends to every part of the rental process and stay.

Lovely River Life

Beautiful little cottage on the river! Loved staying here for a few days and enjoying the peace and quiet of this secluded spot. The home is newly redone, well appointed and highlights the river views. We enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle boat and then rested in between explorations on the shady tree swing. Very relaxing overall!

Relax on the river

Great location to relax and enjoy nature. We kayaked up and down the river and actually caught fish. Our host was terrific and made our stay very comfortable. We'll be back.

Great Little House

It was our first time on the Sassafras and we intend on returning. The house is perfect for a 2 person stay. The house has been updated beautifully and also provides a great view of the river. There are kayaks available and dock to fish from. Everything about the stay was great.

Memorial weekend

This is our 2nd time staying here. Bill and Tami are wonderful and we plan on returning again. The accommodations are great, we come for the wildlife, views, and fishing. Thanks again for everything!

Had a great few days at the cottage. Beautiful spot right on the river. The cottage is really well appointed. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Pillows too. Air conditioning worked great. Views just incredible. Lots of eagles and other birds. Fishing was good too. Caught a bunch of catfish right from dock. Nice fire pit and good supply of wood and starters. Kayaks and canoe available. Good restaurants not too far away. We went to Bohemia River State Park and enjoyed walking the trails there. Wonderful place.

We just spent two and half days of peace, quiet and tranquility at Riverside Cottage, a much-needed respite from the noise of Northern Virginia, thanks to Tami and Bill, perfect weather and the beautiful and meandering Sassafras River. Thank you for the lovely balloons and delicious cake to celebrate my husband's birthday; that was such a wonderful way to start our stay!
