You will fall in love with this adorable home the minute you walk in the door. Recently updated, this farmhouse offers the perfect blend of contemporary comfort and rural charm. The roomy, inviting front porch beckons you to sit and relax, swing on the porch swing, and enjoy your coffee or cocktails while taking in all the fresh air and nature around you. Inside, you'll notice the open kitchen is a dream with all stainless steel appliances and a double oven for creating all those delicious meals and snacks for your group. The larger bedroom has a private entrance to the back porch where you will love the large deck and private yard.

With only a short distance to downtown Black Mountain, you have hiking trails, breweries, eateries, museums, galleries, and shopping options for never-ending fun.

Things to Know
Streaming services are available with guests’ own account(s). Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC. All Vacasa properties comes with a starter kit to assist you on your first day before having to go out and purchase additional items. This includes: dish sponge, dish soap, dishwasher packet, laundry packet. Bathrooms will have 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap.and shall not engage in illegal activity.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

It was ok

Ive stayed at so many of theses places and fir me the kitchen is always a big deal because i actually cook. Your cooking gear needs an overhaul. You should invest in a set of T-Fal or some other non stick gear. The stuff you have is garbage. And there were alot of plates that were chipped. Also, its nit cool to use pillow cases as curtains. Do better.

Cute and Quiet Near Asheville

Nice home in mountains near Asheville NC. Easy check in and check out process. Big fenced in backyard for our dog. Main bedroom didn't have much air flow and was stuffy even with the air conditioning on. Found some ants in the kitchen area as well. Plenty of space for the three of us to relax in and location was great.

Pretty Good Place to Stay

The house for the most part is good. Beds are comfortable. Living room furniture not quite as comfortable. Bathroom was nice. Nice washer and dryer. Kitchen was furnished ok, but there was no microwave oven nor toaster. This is the first time ever a Vacasa property we stayed at had neither. The front of the house was a bit over grown, not neatly trimmed like the picture. And be forewarned, pulling out of the driveway is a bit dicey. You can’t directly see oncoming traffic, you have to look up at an oval mirror next to the driveway to check for oncoming traffic before pulling out.

Quaint. Centrally located to many activities. Not really “in town”. Must drive everywhere. Lawn overgrown and unkept.

I'd stay again

Overall it's a nice property. Very comfortable and was more than adequate for me, wife, and dog. Backyard is decent size, fenced, and was nice to hang out and chill. It's close to downtown and short drive to Montreat and local trails. I would stay again.

Lots of traffic on College St. Can only imagine what it would be in peak season. Comfortable and clean. Love the town atmosphere.

Very Convenient Location

House is well kept and in a great location. Very close to shopping district as well as the parkway. Yard is fenced and has enough room for dogs to run. Definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage!!

I visited Black Mountain for a month and this was a fantastic home away from home! I always like to book a rental where I can feel at home and it did not disappoint! I loved the large kitchen, comfortable rooms, charming decor and the fenced backyard! I sat out on the back deck (brought my own chair) for morning coffee and the front porch swing for evening wine! It’s a great location for quick trips downtown or to Lake Tomahawk! Everything I needed was provided, with the exception of a microwave.

Cute house, bad service

House looks as pictured, very cute and clean. On a fairly busy road but quiet. Vacasa was terrible to deal with making the reservation and trying to adjust it. House had all the basics but very disappointing that there were no outdoor chairs or tables for us to enjoy the excellent weather and big backyard. A grill would have been a big plus. To make things worse, most of the windows either didn't open or had no screens, so we had to be shut in with A/C the whole time despite ideal weather. Also absolutely no water pressure made for sad showers and absolutely not possible to run water from two places simultaneously. Asheville was beautiful and we had a great time, but we won't rent with Vacasa again.
