Beautiful, historic, craftsman style home. Conveniently located off Hwy. US2, Lake Superior to the N.W, Porcupine Mts. to the East. Hiking, Waterfalls, fishing, hunting, skiing, Fall color. Bike and ATV trails. 4 Bedrooms, two baths, and all the comforts and conveniences of a cozy family home. We are located just minutes from ski hills, snowmobile trails, and miles of ATV biking and hiking trails.
While the two car garage doesn't accommodate taller type vehicles, there is parking for two in the driveway. Parking for snow-mo trailers is located in Wakefield, just minutes down the road at the snow mo trail, by Wakefields' Sunday Lake.

Motorcycle trip

The property worked great for our group of eight. Plenty of bedrooms and a nice space for all to relax and chat. The home is a short walk to Kwik Trip and a restaurant. Definitely would stay again if in the area.

The is a well cared for historic craftsman home. We loved the period preservation. It is a great home! We sleep 9 very comfortably. There was good off street parking with the garage included. We had plenty of space and the home is well provisioned. Vicky the host quickly reached when we had a small snafu locking ourself out mistakenly and she had is in quickly, thank you Vicky!!!. We really enjoyed our stay.

The home was clean, spacious, and warm. Vicki was friendly and prompt with communication. Plenty of room for the 6 of us; two couples and two single adults including a small dog who had a bed waiting for her too! There were ample amounts of towels, extra bedding, a variety of pillows, and even extra toiletries. The kitchen was well outfitted, but had plenty of space for our groceries. There was also plenty of space to hang and dry our ski gear. The furniture was comfortable, and the area rugs were plush and clean. The garage parking and driveway parking was a great plus considering the parking restrictions in the city. Only a shorty drive to the alpine ski hills and nordic trails, and walking distance to local pubs/restaurants.

Beautiful house

We really enjoyed our stay in Bessemer. The house had plenty of room and had beautiful hardwood floors. The kitchen was gorgeous and was well stocked with everything we needed.

A wonderful experience and home

Vicki was an amazing host - excellent communicator and very kind. We traveled with our dog and our pup was welcomed, too❤️. The home is very comfortable and beautiful. I can’t wait until we stay there again.

So charming and clean! It felt like home right away, and was just what we needed after dealing with relatives all day at a family funeral. Comforting and quiet :)

Great overnight stop!

We needed a place to spend overnight on our long road trip. It was our large family so it worked great to all be under one roof. Would love to stay a few nights at some point as it’s a darling well kept home with so many architectural features from the years gone by. Loved the house!

weekend of skiing

Great location to all outside activities in the area, centrally located close to everything you need from grocery stores to great locally owned restaurants. Highly recommend the this rental and also the area is a fantastic area to spend sometime. Second time rented this property in the last month. Looking forward to future stays at this property and the area.

Beautiful Home

The property is an older home that has been well maintained. A lot of original built-in furniture, interior doors, cabinets and trimwork has been nicely preserved. House was clean and well stocked. I stayed there with my sister, niece, and two great nieces and nephews. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice house, great hostess

The house was a neat older house with a lot of character. It is bigger than it appears in the pictures. The hostess was so sweet leaving many special extras for us. We stayed for 4 nights over New Years and it was a great option. The waterfall hikes were amazing as well. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

What a great house

I had long admired this house and we drove to and from Ironwood to our home. It is a beautiful example of a Craftsman. The inside was even better. My brother knows the carpenter who remodeled the kitchen, which kept its original charm while modernizing it. Other features have been lovingly maintained - such as leaded glass panels, arches, beveled glass, and professionally painted radiators. The house is very comfortable and induces conversation. Could use a few more dishes, but all in all, I would gladly stay here summer or winter. The owner is responsive and helpful!
