Golf, lakes, and other outdoor attractions make for awesome local day trips. The large yard and parking area affords adequate space to bring and maneuver your off-road toys, trailers, boats etc... We had a wonderful stay for a long weekend. Host is excellent with communications and very responsive to questions. The kitchen and house is well equipped and very clean. Cute property and perfect for our stay. Would stay again in the future.

We had such an amazing stay at the cottage! The hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive, which made everything so easy. The home is even cuter and quainter than the photos show, and the property felt very private—perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. Plus, the charming little town just 10 minutes up the road was such a bonus!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The house was very nice and very clean and had everything we would need for our week stay. Well stocked with pots, pans, paper goods and k cups!!! The fenced back yard was great for the dog too! Thank you for having us and we would absolutely stay again!

Loved this place! It was perfect for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. It has a huge front yard for the dogs to run and a fenced in back yard to keep them contained. The rocking chairs on the front porch were perfect for morning coffee. There is a Blackstone flat top grill on the back porch and seating area with fire pit. We didn’t get to use because of our schedule but it would great for cooking and hanging out.The inside is very nice! The kitchen has everything you need. The coffee set up was wonderful. Comfortable living room area has great couches. The beds were very comfortable and the blackout curtains were great for sleeping in. Bathrooms are all updated and very nice! Full size washer and dryer were helpful.Overall, it’s a very well maintained, modern cottage but very cozy. The owners were very helpful and extra accommodating. It’s far enough outside the city to get the country feel, but only 20 min drive to Asheboro. 5 stars for me!

Great stay in N.C.!

We loved staying at this cottage. Plenty of wow factor with all the character of the house. The house had no issues, super clean & comfortable. Our 2 dogs had no reaction to the house that any other dogs were ever in it, they were as calm as being at home, no other pet scents left behind. I chose this cottage because of its close proximity to the zoo & pottery shops. We traveled over 500 mi. from Pennsylvania, & it was worth the trip & the dogs loved it too. Beautiful Country Cabin

We very much enjoyed this property. Well stocked, extremely comfortable and a hit with our 2 dogs. They loved the fenced in yard. Hope to enjoy it again as our son’s family lives in the area.

Wonderful

We were visiting family with our dog. This house was a perfect home base. Lots of places to walk to exercise our dog , then she’d sleep soundly by the fire place. We also went to Southern Supreme fruit cake, seagrove and Star Works . The home itself is very comfortable, well appointed and has everything that you expect to have. Very clean, comfortable beds and everything works! We look forward to staying here again on our next visit!

Girl’s Pottery Trip

Just as described and we would definitely stay here again! It was convenient to Seagrove which was what we were looking for in a rental. We only there for a very short stay, but hope to be back for a longer one. My only suggestion would be to make the kids room with a lower bed.

Cabin off the Woods

Wonderful home, comfortable relaxing area, generously furnished. Close enough to town and attractions. We would recommend this home for anyone to stay. Pet friendly large fenced in back yard and plenty of open fields to walk our dog. We will be using it again if available in the future.

The perfect getaway

We booked for our fall family vacation. #1 on our list was to go to the NC Zoo. We have 2 under 18months, so we weren't looking for tons of attractions. We were able to relax, stay on the babies' schedules ~ and visit the zoo, shop for pottery in Seagrove, found an antique shop in Ramseur, Millstone Creek Orchards as well. We even found a lovely park for some outside time. The house is absolutely adorable ~ complete with comfy beds, stocked kitchen, and a large blackstone on the covered back deck. We had everything we needed PLUS peace & quiet for quality family time. Already talking about staying again next year!!

Our cottage is located on property that has seen 5 generations of family ownership. The property was first acquired for subsistence farming in the late 19th century. It rests at the base of the Uwharrie Mountains, home of the first gold rush in the United States. A vein of white flint rock crosses the property where one may see a quartz crystal or fool's gold on a daily walk.
