David was truly the best tenant I have ever had. Responsive, followed every rule, was very considerate of my house. I would never have even known he stayed there after he left as it was in such perfect order. Even though his assignment finished early, he still made sure his rent was on time each month. I surly hope he will rent again. Thanks David for your kind words as well. Cynthia

Jamie was one of the most gracious tenants and with such a considerate heart. At times being a landlord can have its challenges and people like Jamie make it all the worthwhile. I was happy to help, especially knowing how devastating divorce can be and especially when it is unexpected. Jamie, thank you also for being so considerate and respectful of my home. You always have a home on Sachem, but hopefully during better circumstances!

Suzanne, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience during your stay at my house. I try to make it turn key so people can enjoy their stay and not have to worry about running to the store to load up on basic supplies. I am also happy that you appreciated the Heavenly Westin bed that I invested in as I fell in love with it during one of my stays at the Westin Hotel. I enjoy my nights in it looking out at the city lights. I have often thought about removing the carpet but I still find carpet gives the house a more cozy feel to it. I also inform people about the carpet in the welcome packet . "The house has white carpet and freshly cleaned". Considering all the renters I have had, it really has not been a problem and I still feel that white is more inviting. Yes, the bathtub does have jets to give the tub a bit of a whirlpool effect. Happy that you made use of that as well. You really got to see alot during your visit to Cincinnati and I am glad you frequented the establishments that I recommended. I am happy that you contacted me with your questions as I try to be available to my tenants 24/7 while they are at my house just incase something comes up or a question needs to be answered. Like I said in my last owner response, I can only address a situation if I know about it. I do hope to see you back in Cincinnati or at one of our other properties that we have spoken about. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

I was surprised to see this review as I contacted William almost weekly regarding his stay & he never responded so I just assumed everything was fine. This review is the first I have heard of his dissatisfaction. I have since asked him why he would stay at a house for a month if he felt it was a hazard. I would have gladly refunded his $ in full as I would never want someone to stay in a place they felt unsafe. Again no response. William called me and asked if he could rent my house for a month for 2 people & at times 4. 5 stayed the majority of the time. I did not charge him extra nor did I know 5 ppl were going to stay there as I have a 4 person limit. I do not do monthly rentals in the summer but this gentleman said he could pay only half of my weekly rates. Due to his circumstance, I made an exception and only charged him half of my weekly rates. There was another family that needed a place as they also had a child going to Children's Hospital. They were going to pay the regular rate but I turned them down since I had committed to William's family. I also covered their water and utilities.The carpets were cleaned before his arrival (have receipt for proof). When he moved out, it cost me $241.48 to have the carpets cleaned, I charged him $40. There was a seat cushion missing. I charged him $40, however, I was not able to find a replacement so I will need to purchase 7 new ones so they can all match. I did not charge him for the loose handrail that I had fixed that was secure before his arrival in front of the house. A handrail has been a added to the stairs going down to the basement. Cooper Electric has inspected the house as of 8/31/12 and the electric system is up to code. (have documents for proof). As for the steps, the house was built in 1890 and sits on a hill so some of the concrete is uneven. The house is settling. I bought the house because of the beauty of being in the historic district and the artsy feel like being in San Francisco . I offered to refund all of William's security deposit if he felt it was unfair, and his response was, "Keep the money. I think you will be needing it and alot more in the future." I take all of my tenants constructive criticism seriously. I would have addressed these issues during his stay had I been informed. However, I can't fix anything unless I know about it. But like I said, this review was the 1st time I had been notified. Regardless, all of the complaints have been addressed. It is a lovely home.
