My family and I enjoyed our week’s vacation. The boat ramp was wonderful for launching the kayaks we had hired, and the owners tandem kayak was an added bonus. The beds, pillows and linens were very comfortable.The views from the dock were lovely, and the ability to store drinks in the refrigerator there was good.The house is in a great location to various restaurants. We loved Haggerty’s and The Watersview.

Everything was wonderful. The location and description of the property, was exactly what we expected. My only negative, was that there was cat urine odor, in the home. Nothing a glade candle didn’t take care of.

Great location and deep water! Inside of house was very clean and comfortable. Outside deck and dock could have used some cleaning (spider webs and some ants at the dock). A few rotted deck boards and some exposed screws were reported but immediately fixed by the owner).

Decompressing at the lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this house. We spent every day down on the dock and when it warmed up enough we were in the water. We had fun watching the swallows that next under the boat house zooming around. The house had everything we could possibly need. Be sure to check out two of the local eateries, Getting sauced in the city and Jenny Cakes. Cute places with really nice owners. It was a great week of relaxing.

Beautiful spot on lake gaston. Easy access to water for playing. Outdoor deck had everything we needed for resting and a refrigerator. Loved the swing.

Thanksgiving

Here for the week of Thanksgiving. Property just as pictured, communication with owner was perfect. Everything you need for cooking your on meals is stocked in the kitchen. We used the Blackstone on the deck often. Ate dinner at the Waterside a couple nights the food there is excellent. Sat on the dock watched the sun sets. Would book again.

Great place to stay

Communication with the host before our check in date and during was amazing. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed from linens to many kitchen utensils and appliances. It was an easy walk down to the dock and the dock was an amazing place to hang out all day and enjoy the lake and my dog loved the easy access to the lake from the boat ramp on the property! Overall great stay great time!

The location was awesome. A cove nestled just off another cove gave our kids a great and safe place to swim off the dock. The dock was nice - had a table and fridge. The bar sink didn’t work and there were no lounge chairs but there were chairs from the table at for the bar. Good area to swim - clear water and plenty deep enough to dock the boat we rented. Nice lights for evenings. Clearly labeled switches let us know how to turn on fans, lights etc. didn’t seem like the dock had been cleaned in a while but we realize bugs and spiders at the lake are plentiful. Had access to paddle boards and a kayak that the kids loved taking out.We had 4 kids (13,13,11,10) and 2 adults the entire time and my mom came up for a few days to visit with us. That number of people sharing two bathrooms is a little tight but we managed. The beds were comfy - not too soft, not too firm. The room with the bunks didn’t have a door on it that would have been good to have known before.Lots of spices and pantry items - that was great when needing salt, pepper, cooking spray etc

5-star review across the board. Prime lake access; fantastic location for water sports and the property's dock and deck offered amazing views and lounging space. Excellent communication with owner and property manager. Would highly recommend to others - everything was easy about this stay!

This place was amazing! Beautiful sunsets, super clean, immediate response from Bob when there were a FEW small issues. Plenty of supplies, great place. We will definitely be back again!! I recommend this to any family or large party.

Amazing Stay

This property was all it was cracked up to be. The host, Richard, was readily available when needed, which wasn’t often. The home is amazing. Stunning views of the lake. Circle floor plan worked out great for the kids. Very nice dock and water toys (kayak, paddle board and peddle boat. Huge kitchen. Plenty of room for me, my four daughters, son-in-law and two grandkids. We never felt like we were in each others way. I highly recommend this property, except on July 4th weekends, because I will be booking it every year on the 4th, until I buy my own place lol.

It has potential

I enjoyed the availability of the kayak at the property. Overall there was great space for our weekend trip. Please note the description is correct that there’s 3 bedrooms however it’s listed as 4 bedrooms. The 4th is an open loft area with a bunk bed. The cleaning was questionable. The shower liner was molded and pink/red residue around the drains. There’s a great amount of pet hair. This place would benefit from a power wash to the exterior of the property especially the deck and bar/lounge area by the lake. I appreciate the host and their timely responses.

Invasion of Privacy/Undisclosed Cameras

As a VRBO owner it is hard to write this review. I know they can affect your business, but renters need to be aware. The rental had undisclosed security cameras everywhere; mainly outside, but inside was a panel in the kitchen with a camera. We didn’t know it had a camera until day 2 of our 3 day stay. The Host said it would only record/take photos if the alarm went off or someone tried to disarm it, yet we could see pictures of multiple families stored in it. This is creepy, didn't sit well with us, and goes against VRBO guidelines. I contacted VRBO with our concerns and instead of enforcing their own rules, they told us to contact the owner and maybe he would give some money back! That wasn’t the point VRBO! We are extremely disappointed with your response! Future renters need to be aware they may be recorded, but the Host responded he would now be removing the control panel inside. Also, we set the A/C at one temp and it would reset itself higher about an hour later. The master bedroom didn't have a window, so we roasted. One morning it was 82 degrees, yet we had it set at 70! The Host said it was in learning mode and should be fine now. That wasn't the case. We set it to 70 at night by 3am it would be back to 76 or higher. Interesting that the camera is located right beneath the thermostat! There are 4 TVs, but only 2 worked consistently. There are no instructions for operating anything and communication with Host is only through email- very frustrating!

The house was excellent the grounds water access were very good. It was a very enjoyable week even the weather contributes to an enjoyable time on the lake. It was peaceful we seas several bald eagles/ countless geese and ducks flying in and we enjoyed the lake since my Son brought his boat and was able to get around the lake. We would be interested in renting again same time next year, maybe extended stay.
