Nestled in the picturesque forest, this charming chalet is situated on tranquil Cool Creek, offering stunning views and the soothing sound of flowing water. Whether you're looking for a romantic escape or a family adventure, this chalet has everything you need to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors.
Cool Creek runs the entire length of this property. Spring feed water is so clear and refreshing that you'll want to set your chair right in it and just relax. But if you want a little more activity there is plenty to do.
If golfing is your thing, Caberfae Peaks Ski/Golf Resort is 20 miles down the road.
Like to go mountain biking? Big M has great trails and is only 11 miles away.
How about hanging out at the beach? Manistee's 1st Street Beach is 25 miles west.
If target shooting is more your speed, the Udell Hills Gun Range is 8 miles away.
Don't feel like cooking your own food? Brooks Corner, Traks Bar & Grill, Red Neck Yacht Club, and NA-TAH-KA restaurants are all close by.
But if you like cooking or need any supplies, the famous Dublin General Store is not far away. When you're there, make sure to stock up on their world-famous jerky!

We loved the setting of the cabin by the creek. We were there in the fall and the changing leaves were beautiful and the firepit area was great. The cabin was cozy and the host was very helpful and responsive. Our kids thought the cabin was awesome and loved sleeping in the loft. The driveway was great to pull a large trailer in and out of as well.

Excellent cabin located just outside of Wellston. Very comfortable and the communication with the host was very good. Easy access to the Manistee Rivers and the Big M. Just be aware that Maps, Google Maps may send you to the wrong location.

Had a great time at Cool Creek Chalet. Spent time almost everyday down at the creek. So relaxing! Just put your chair right in the creek and enjoy. There were just 2 of us so we mostly stayed on the main floor. Bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied. Felt very private but a short drive to Manistee. Check out The Dublin Store which is only about 5 minutes away. Great place for groceries and their beef jerky selection is pretty impressive. Would definitely return to the house if in the area again.

Great location!

Clean and functional cottage located near beaches and hikes. Beds and bathroom were cosy and representative of the pictures online. One thing to take note of: there is no AC so with the temperatures we hit on July 4, the house was extremely warm. There is a creek on the property which is accessible by a path that is somewhat abrupt, not recommended for anyone with mobility issues and be careful in your flip flops. The creek is lovely and fresh once you get there. We were 3 couples and had a lovely time, we are thinking of going back in the winter to check it out!

Great private cabin

Very quiet and a peaceful location. Was a reasonable distance for skiing at Caberfae and Crystal mountain. Very comfortable beds, clean, and set up nicely for a family.

Getaway in the woods

Very nice cabin in the woods for a quiet relaxing time. Not to far to enjoy Manistee or Cadillac. Had a great time.

Great getaway near the trails

My husband and I enjoyed a few days at the cabin. The property and amenities were just as listed, everything was there that we needed. It was the perfect location near trails and many other local attractions.

Perfectly Peaceful

This is an excellent spot to land when visiting the area. The house is so peaceful and the view is wonderful. You're truly in a cabin in the woods with all the convenience of a small town nearby. The house is well cared for and very comfortable. I have saved this one as one of my favorites.

Lovely hunting retreat

We had a lovely stay the week of Thanksgiving. The cabin was nicely laid out. Entry way was great—very large with places to hang coats, put boots, and extra shelves for other things. The kitchen has everything we needed for our stay. A beautiful deck overlooking the creek. I would love to come back in the summer to enter the outside more. Large fire pit area with seating. The bedroom in the main floor was fantastic—very comfortable with soft bedding. A large lift area with 4 beds—nice space for the kiddos to play. One room with bunk beds didn’t have a door—this didn’t bother our family. There was not a grill as listed but it would have been nice to have. It didn’t impact our stay. One suggestion—-extra hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. Very quiet area. Would certainly come back. Thank you for sharing your home.

Fall getaway

I really enjoyed the location of the rental. I felt secluded but yet the road wasn’t that far really enjoyed the back deck although it rained five of the days I was there, so the front deck was wonderful to sit at home and all had a very nice day. Looking forward to my next four days there.
