Discover this charming 1940s Tybee Cottage, a true gem that captures the essence of old-time Tybee charm with a touch of coastal flair. Situated on a private, beachside road, it is just a short 1-block walk to the beach; shopping and restaurants are a five-minute walk away.

Step inside to find a delightful and inviting living room, exuding an airy ambiance and featuring a large-screen TV, a queen pullout sofa, and an antique beverage bar. The kitchen boasts modern conveniences and a quaint dinette, perfect for intimate gatherings of four. The Master bedroom offers a spacious retreat with a king-size bed, a large walk-in closet, and ample space to unwind and settle in.

The second bedroom welcomes up to four guests with a queen-size bed and an additional twin bunk, ideal for families or friends. A newly renovated tiled full bathroom with a deep soaking tub/shower combo is conveniently located nearby.

Making your way outside and downstairs, on the ground level, you'll find two shower rooms, in addition to another bathroom - plus private dressing rooms. Here, you'll find a fun family area with a Ping-Pong table, seating for eight, and a spacious lounging hammock for two. Here you'll also find the charming and intimate third bedroom with a queen bed and large screen TV.

Outside, enjoy the convenience of a gas grill and an outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off sandy feet after a day at the beach. The highlight of the cottage is undoubtedly the spacious screened-in front porch. Complete with deck chairs, loungers, and two picnic tables accommodating up to eight people, it's the idyllic spot for games, snacks, and memorable crab dinners and low country boils.

The cottage had nice areas, indoor and outdoors, for relaxing. Coffee on the screened porch each morning was a great start to the day. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We walked to the grocery store when we needed items. Also walked to restaurants and gift shops. The cottage was clean, bright and not cluttered. Very inviting. We hope to return on a future visit to Tybee Island.

A nice Get-Away

Amazing Cottage!

It is quiet and peaceful, and we could hear the ocean at times from the screened in porch, on which we had breakfast each morning. My wife is a big cottage fan and says she just loved the way they have kept the vintage look. The cottage is very well-kept and extremely clean and comfortable. We've been spending a week every year on Tybee for eight years now, and this was our first time staying on the beach side, which was well worth the extra cost. We loved it! And will hopefully return to TYBeeach Cottage next year!

We had fun on the porch, playing pingpong downstairs and using the downstairs showers after the beach. We accidentally got locked out of the bedroom downstairs and a maintenance man came over promptly and let us in. Thank you.

Cozy cottage

Beautiful cottage that reminded us of days gone by! From the cozy screened in front porch complete with wooden rocking chairs, creaking floor, banging screen doors and crank door bell to the tastefully decorated interior which mixed the quaintness of old charm with updates of present time, we were very pleased. Located just off the busy main street of the island, but quiet enough. Easy walk to beach, shops and restaurants and the small motel pool across the street for our use (bonus!). The cottage had many perks, however we didn’t have a long visit to enjoy them all. Would definitely recommend to others and stay here again.

Great time good location easy beach access not far from Savannah. We did have issues with the Ruku TV need to have better instructions on how to get on local channels and sports. Other than that great place.

A great place and stay!

Highly recommend this cottage. Location to ocean was great, easy to walk to IGA and other locations. The property was as described, clean, and perfect for our group (three adults, 19 y/o, two 15 y/o). My older son liked having his own space in the ground floor bedroom. The two showers and bathroom on ground floor were perfect for the guys to use. The screened in front porch was awesome for my mother in law. I used the grill several nights and it worked out great. I would definitely stay here again, really enjoyed our trip to Tybee and using this cottage.

Perfect walk to the beach!

We enjoyed this location being so close to the beach! The house was unique in layout, in having one bedroom down below in the deck area, with plenty of sleeping arrangements for groups in the main house. There were also several beach chairs and wagon to use for the beach, which was appreciated. For a group of girls, even though there was only one full bathroom, we definitely appreciated there being multiple showers— with two being semi-outdoor showers below the deck. The management company was responsive and easy to communicate with if we needed anything! It was a little bit confusing not having any of the check in details through VRBO app, and having a separate portal through the management company with those details - it could be a little more streamlined for those who booked through vrbo. If we had recommendations, it would be to provide larger shampoo/body wash containers in the showers - with a larger group and being at the beach you usually shower more frequently, and the single use hotel style soaps just aren’t enough. We also would have enjoyed the yard for our at-home hibachi chef, but the grass wasn’t cut and was very long! Overall a great stay!

Accessible bedroom downstairs for the elders, ping pong and new BBQ for the younger generation. House was exceptionally clean and newly updated, cute layout, several shower options after a long day at the beach, and laundry on-site. Couldn't have asked for better people to work with, Kelly was AWESOME and her office was nearby whenever we needed anything. Thanks again for the great experience!

Nice place but no hot water

Beautiful cottage, comfy beds, stocked kitchen. Unfortunately the hot water went out on day 2. Luckily it was warm at the beach so cold showers were refreshing. I’ve realized that I could never be a pioneer woman. No washing my hair, thank you very much! I called twice on Monday, no one showed up. I called again on Tuesday (day of departure) who knows if they ever fixed the hot water?

Modern Beach House with Old Tybee Feel

We had 4 generations staying here (me and my husband, my 88 year old mother, my son and his wife, and my 2 granddaughters. The rooms were not only very comfortable and roomy, but were decorated so cute! The bunk bed room (where i and my granddaughters slept) was just so spacious and comfortable. The house overall had a beachy comfortable feeling but still all the modern amenities expected in a high end home. We enjoyed the large porch for eating our meals and just hanging out and relaxing. We had a wonderful time and this house certainly contributed to that!

Quaint Getaway

The only issue we had was the basement bedroom wasn't exactly how it was pictured or described. We knew it was a separate entrance but it was not easy to access and the bathrooms and showers in the basement were also not as described. The basement room was musty and had three dead "palmetto bugs" AKA cockroaches which is part of the South, however, it was an unexpected issue that the rental company didn't have a lot of real remedies for. The downstairs top of the bed also had dead bugs which they offered to clean but we chose not to use the basement bedroom. Overall, it was a great stay in the main house but we would not rent it again for our family as we would prefer a different floorplan.

Reviewer Comments: The location was the best part about this unit, an easy walk to the beach, easy drive to restaurants and popular places on Tybee.The third bedroom has its own private entrance, which I read in the description and thought would be good for our adult son, however we did not like it after all. This bedroom is downstairs and not accessible from the main rooms in the house. The bathroom that goes along with this bedroom is not air conditioned and is actually a toilet room and a shower I would consider a “camp” shower or shower to be used to rinse off when coming from the beach. The guest staying in this room showered and dressed in the upstairs bathroom making it more crowded. The home was clean and everything was in good working order it was just the third bedroom/bathroom that did not work well for us. I would consider another property with this owner/management company but I would not book this unit again.

Overall A Great Stay

Grill and kitchen great. Beds comfortable. We had 6 adults and there was a good amount of space. Too hot for downstairs space, but glad to have it. Porch is wonderful. A few things we wished we would have known: the road the house is on does not have direct beach access. You have to go to the nearby street. Not a huge deal, but I just thought we were closer. There is a summer camp across from the house. Very loud when campers come out to play (a few times a day) since it's directly across from the screen porch. Not sure how often camp is in session. The downstairs half bath and showers have no air conditioning (it was super hot all week) and are not connected to the downstairs bedroom, so no one wanted to use them except for rinsing off after the beach (which was fantastic to have). The listing has been changed since I booked to be clearer about the bathrooms, but I wanted 2 full baths for so many adults. Now it is listed as just 1 bath, so glad it is fixed. Overall, the positives of the house far outweigh the negatives and we would stay here again.

We parked our cars and walked virtually everywhere - It was so easy getting to the beach, the market, restaurants, etc. The inside was set-up perfectly and had so much space for us ALL to gather together as a group; To say we were impressed would be an understatement!
