Welcome to Samantha Place Retreat!! If you are looking for tranquilly on the lake …….you have found it!! We are located in Susannah Crossing off hwy 34 on Lake Martin!!
This property has 6 bedrooms & 3 & 1/2 baths!
Great for summer getaway or a perfect game day retreat. Only 35 minutes to Auburn !!
Families will love having fun here & making lots of great memories !! There is a pool table in the guesthouse for everyone to enjoy.
The mainhouse has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths & the guesthouse has 2 bedrooms and 1& 1/2 baths.

Great rental on Lake Martin for a large group. The guest house was a great bonus space. Bedrooms and linens were clean. Great communication with the host. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise!! The house could use a little love here and there, but overall great experience. The boat lift did not work as originally reported, but tying up two boats together worked for us. We'd go back for sure!

A Wonderful Family Vacation Spot

Samantha Place accomodated our group of nine perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and neccesary cooking utensils. The guest house with billiards and the wet bar was a great place for our large group to hang out.

Definitely need to fire the cleaning people due to cob webs, dirty floors, and most importantly the black mold that is built up under the sink at the guest house! My 16 month old is at the age now where she likes to open cabinets and explore and bring items to you( just like all the other children her age) but when I went to return the item is when I noticed ALL the black mold. How that passed inspection is beyond me and praying no one gets sick from inhaling that. The table and swing out chairs in your guest house you may want to replace due to being very unstable before someone gets really hurt. Also, your big flatscreen tv that you have in your main house that is just propped on your mantle with no mounts at all is a huge problem too if it falls off and injures someone, especially a small child. Thank goodness that didn’t happen this weekend with mine! No hair dryer to be found that was listed in the rental. Nothing major but would remove it from listing or actually put one in the house. The refrigerator could use some love. Most of the drawers are inoperative. And as mentioned the floors are filthy! I would address your cleaning people to do a way better job on cleaning. The things you mentioned prior to the stay about a Work in Progress, well your right and I would clean up these matters before doing another rental for sure. The screened in area that you want to do and the back deck to replace should not be your main concern at this time.

This was our 4 year going to lake Martin we really love the lake always stay somewhere different just trying to see all the different parts of the lake. This house was exactly what was advertised plenty of room for everyone. Would pick again.

Outstanding Lake Martin Getaway - Exceeded Every Expectation!

We just returned from an absolutely incredible stay at Samantha Place Retreat on Lake Martin, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and our phenomenal host! From the moment we booked until check-out, every aspect of our experience was flawless.The host truly set the gold standard for hospitality. We received the most gracious welcome that immediately made us feel like valued guests rather than just renters. Throughout our stay, all communications were crystal clear, incredibly friendly, and perfectly timed. It's rare to find a host who is so genuinely caring and responsive - they made our vacation stress-free from start to finish.The home was absolutely spotless upon arrival - clearly meticulously maintained and cleaned to perfection. The property easily accommodated our group of 12 with room to spare.The location is simply magical! Nestled in a peaceful cove off the main sections of Lake Martin, we enjoyed the perfect balance of tranquility and easy access to lake activities. The dock was perfectly positioned and made tying up our boat effortless. The internet was fast, which was appreciated for those who needed to stay connected. The property includes everything you could need, from a fully equipped kitchen to outdoor spaces perfect for relaxation. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Great family retreat

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It is a very quiet area both from other houses and on the lake. The house is spacious and the attached guest/boat house is a great gathering place. The view from the back deck can’t be beat. There are lots of chairs in the outdoor areas (deck, dock, and patio). We found inflatables (used our electric pump on them) and enjoyed using the paddle boat. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, gadgets, utensils, cups/mugs and dishes (set of 8). The outdoor grill is propane and worked great. Communication with Robin…superb! No complaints about our stay and we hope to return.

Family and Friends Weekend

I can’t say enough great things about Marty and Robin! They are the ultimate hosts. From the goodie basket to the wonderful view and accommodations, we were blown away! The property is perfect for a large group and parking is abundant. Auburn is about a 35 minute drive and so convenient. We enjoyed every second!

Excellent VRBO at beautiful Lake Martin

Perfect setup for a multi family vacation! It was great to have the main house and then a separate guest area with a "fun room" for entertainment. Great location on the Dadeville side of the lake- 30min to Auburn basically. Hosts were fantastic, super attentive, and quick to reply. 5 stars all around!

Family Fun

We had the absolute best time at Samantha Place Retreat! This trip is our annual family trip but our family has outgrown a single house. We had 12 people at this house and another 8 at a house across the slough. The dock was the perfect place for all of us to gather and for swimming for all ages! The ladder is wide and easy to climb in and out of the water. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. Robin was great to talk to easy to work with!! We will stay here again!!

Perfect Vacation Home

This property is amazing! We had teenagers and adults in our group, so the lay out and additional guest house was perfect. Its in a quite cove with amazing views and neighbors. Highly recommend, this slice of paradise.

Lake Martin Beauty

Absolutely gorgeous view of peaceful and serene Lake Martin. House was perfect for large family gathering and celebration of Auburn graduation weekend. War Eagle! Loved all of the special attention to detail that was added. We have rented VRBOs several times and found cooking even small meals for our family difficult because the kitchen equipment was lacking. Not the case with this house! The non-stick pots and pans were scratch free and the full size crock pot came in handy for easy meals. Loved every detail and had a great weekend!

We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful property and the owners. It was everything it advertised. Looking forward to renting it again in the near future.
