The location is why the high rating. The place has its positives but is older and could use some work. The iron is so old and did not work. The fan in guest room has no remote and hard to figure out. The kitchen was very good and the screen door going out to ocean is very hard to see through. My biggest issue was smell in room like it was just cleaned. Just not a fresh air smell. Having said all this I would stay again but would be nice to have air conditioning

Wake to the sunrise every morning, & 100 steps to the beach... you can't beat it

My family and I just love this condo. No AC? No Problem... just open the sliding door and windows and the Sea Breeze will keep you nice and comfy. Well kept grounds, and as mentioned literally 100 paces from the Sand and Ocean. Easy walk into town for Shave Ice, Coffee or just to check out the local scene. We have stayed here probably half a dozen times, and will certainly do so again !

Excellent stay

What a great visit! You can't beat the location. Close parking, close to the beach and a well-stocked apartment. The unit was clean and spacious. We appreciated the small extras like beach chairs and beach towels. We had good communication with the property management as well. There were a couple of small maintenance items that I alerted the PM too and I received a prompt reply to my email with the assurance things would be looked at by maintenance. None of the housekeeping items were a deal breaker for our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

We Love This Place !

Nothing beats Oceanfront ! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and the refreshing sea breeze is just wonderful. We have stayed in D101 several times and will be back again to be sure !

Pono Kai beautiful property on beach in Kapaa. Walk to beach or shops within minutes. Stay two weeks if you can!

Relaxing family week

Beautiful stay at the Vrbo. The only reason i rated down a small amount was the ad stated washer and dryer in the Vrbo and there isn’t one. So if you are counting on this…you need to know there is no washer and dryer. I even went back to check the listing after we got there and realized there wasn’t one. You have a limited number of pool towels as a Vacasa member vs a pono Kai member and cannot check out or exchange your towels in the pool area for fresh ones so without a washer/dryer a week can be a long time with limited towels with daily use at the beach and pool. Otherwise the unit is beautiful, clean and as listed.

Trading Excellent Location for A/C

This condo has an excellent location, just a short 100 yard walk to the beach and ocean views from the Master bedroom and living room. The interior is a little dated and rustic due to exposure to the sea humidity constantly, but overall a good stay. Was slightly disappointed that there was no A/C, but the cool ocean breeze made the condo comfortable. We did run into some reptilian visitors indoors, but we're used to that living in the desert and they were harmless. The condo was clean and the beds and linens comfortable. Dishwasher was out when we rented, but doing dishes by hand wasn't a big deal. For the price, this was an excellent choice for me family's vacation. Would rent again but they should disclose there is no A/C.

Great Location!

Just got back and what an excellent condo. Very spacious plenty of room to stretch out. The breeze from the ocean coming through the windows is so nice and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again.
