Welcome to Blackberry Hill, a thoughtfully designed mountain retreat where timeless mountain style meets modern comfort. The open-concept living area features soaring wood ceilings, expansive windows, a fully equipped kitchen, and inviting spaces to gather after a day of exploring the High Country.
The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests with two king bedrooms, a bunk bedroom with a twin-over-twin bunk bed, and a versatile game room featuring an air hockey table, a hanging swing, and a daybed with a pull-out twin trundle that sleeps two additional guests. Three full bathrooms provide plenty of space for families and groups, including an upstairs spa-inspired bathroom with a private infrared sauna.
Ideally located for exploring North Carolina’s High Country, Blackberry Hill is just a five-minute walk to the Watauga Gorge public access to the Watauga River, where you can enjoy tubing, kayaking, fishing, or simply relaxing along the river. Laurel Creek Falls—one of the Boone area’s most popular natural swimming holes—is within walking distance or just a two-minute drive. Downtown Boone is only 15 minutes away, while Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and Appalachian Ski Mountain are all within easy reach for skiing and year-round adventure. You’ll also be close to Valle Crucis Park, Grandfather Vineyard & Winery, Banner Elk Winery, and the charming shops and restaurants that make the High Country so special.
After a day of adventure, return to your peaceful mountain retreat to unwind on the spacious deck, gather around the fire pit beneath the stars, or relax in the private infrared sauna. As you explore the property, you may spot our neighbors’ horses peacefully grazing nearby—a favorite experience for many guests. We simply ask that you admire them from a respectful distance and refrain from feeding them.
Enjoy the convenience of complimentary on-site EV charging with our Tesla Universal EV Charger, compatible with Tesla vehicles and most other electric vehicles. Mountain Access: The final 200 feet leading to the cabin is a moderately steep uphill gravel driveway. Under normal conditions, many guests have no difficulty accessing the property in standard vehicles. However, as with many mountain destinations, we recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle for added confidence, particularly during the winter months.
