The space:
This romantic 3-bedroom cabin sleeps 6 with 2 queen beds and 2 twins, each with luxury bedding. Enjoy 2 full bathrooms complete with plush towels, bathrobes, and a full array of personal toiletries. Relax in the comfortable living area with Smart TV, streaming services, and WiFi. Outside, savor picturesque views from 3 private porches and enjoy outdoor activities like stargazing at one of 2 fire pits or a friendly game of cornhole.

Angels Retreat preserves a 40-year-old rustic log cabin with chic furnishings and luxury amenities provided at no extra charge. Our goal is to honor the beauty and architecture of the past while offering the best in modern comforts, art, books, furniture, and photography by local artists. Each charming guest room features plush bedding, universal charging stations on each bedside table, suitcase valets for each guest, extra pillows & blankets, and special touches that make each room unique.

The East Bedroom:
Located on the main floor, The East Bedroom features a queen bed, comfy chair, access to the rear porch, cordless levolour light filtering blinds, full-length mirror, and attached bathroom with all the basics and beyond including a walk-in shower with dual shower heads, a full array of personal care items, hairdryer, flat iron, plush robes & towels for each guest, and a spacious closet.

The McKinney:
Located on the upper floor, The McKinney includes a queen bed, desk with basic office supplies, makeup mirror, modern sitting area with leather chairs and waterfall glass coffee table, binoculars for nature watching, cordless levolour light filtering blinds, large walk-in closet with dresser, 18” wide ironing board and professional iron.

The Susie Q:
Also located on the upper floor, The Susie Q includes 2 twin beds, comfy chair, writing desk with basic office supplies, large closet, full-length mirror, extra Bluetooth speaker, and cozy reading area.

Second floor bathroom:
The McKinney and Susie Q share the home’s second-floor bathroom featuring a rain shower showerhead, a full array of personal care items, and plush towels & robes for each guest.

Kitchen:
Guests enter the cabin through the well-equipped eat-in kitchen featuring: gas stove, dishwasher, microwave and side by side refrigerator, Vitamix blender, coffee station with Keurig Coffee maker & Nespresso espresso maker with pods, creamers, various sweeteners, teapot with assorted tea bags, 4qt crockpot, toaster, cookware, glassware, serveware, kitchen towels, potholders, utensils, cutting boards center island, food wraps & storage bags, bakeware, mixer, mixing bowls, spices, dinnerware, silverware, pantry with a full range of treats and a few convenience foods. The refrigerator houses an assortment of nonalcoholic beverages, basic condiments & dairy products. If you have special dietary needs, would like us to receive and put away grocery deliveries, or shop for you let us know so we can accommodate. Special occasion? Let us spoil you with a local surprise! In a rush? Fix a coffee to go with disposable cups and lids. We’ve thought of everything!

Laundry Room & Cleaning Supplies:
You’ll have full access to cleaning supplies and the laundry room including washer, dryer, and laundry supplies. The iron and ironing board are located upstairs; vacuum cleaners are available on each floor and cleaning supplies are throughout the house.

Living Room:
Relax on the comfy couch atop the genuine cowhide rug with 2 leather swivel chairs that rotate 360 degrees for great views at every turn, cozy throw pillows and blankets, oversized Smart TV, board games, DVD player with movies, Wifi access, streaming services, 2 portable Bluetooth speakers, extra charging ports, bar area with basic bartending tools, card table with 4 chairs, chess, checkers, board games, card games, poker chips, puzzles, and more.

Outdoor Spaces:
Deck
Enjoy the private deck just off the kitchen with seating area, outdoor eating area, grill tools, prep station, fire pit and Weber gas grill. Propane for the gas grill and fire pit provided at no additional charge.

Front porch and yard
Visit the covered front porch with swing and amazing views; fire pit with firewood provided; marshmallow roasting sticks, and regulation cornhole boards and bags.

Looking for an outdoor adventure? Pack a lunch with our vintage picnic basket or head to the lake with portable beach chairs, beach bag, towels & umbrella.

Rear porch
Tranquility, an antique glider, hand-hewn wooden long bench, and Adirondack chair await on the rear porch. While you’re enjoying the cool mountain breeze, snap a memory-worthy photo op in front of the hanging hand-painted wooden quilt squares.

Additional outdoor amenities
Ample car parking available with additional parking for boats (up to 17 feet) and/or small campers with a 50 amp outlet for RV or electric car charging. You will need to provide all necessary cords and electrical adapters.

Parking for larger vehicles also available. Please notify us in advance for options.

Coolers and ice in various sizes for day tripping also available.

Guest access:
You will have full access to the house and all amenities during your stay. We are right next door if a detail is overlooked; running errands, maintenance request' whatever you need.

Other things to note:
Day trips abound! Laurel Lake is approximately 9 miles away, offering hiking trails, biking, boating, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Looking for something less adventurous? Follow the backroads to Cumberland Falls State Park and “eat where it all began” at the original Kentucky Fried Chicken in Corbin; plan a shopping adventure with fun stops along the way to nearby Berea, or visit local historic landmarks such as Levi Jackson Park or Camp Wildcat.
