Location, Location, Location. Visiting Crater Lake National Park? Then you can't beat staying here. The Green House is the perfect base camp for your Crater Lake adventure. Cozy up in this 600 square foot Bungalow complete with a full kitchen, full bath, Heating, Air Conditioning, Kayaks, and a fully fenced backyard.

Disclosure: There is a single security camera installed on one of the trees in front of the Bungalow, with the camera facing the front door and entrance to the property. There are no cameras inside the home, nor elsewhere on the property.

We LOVED this place! Absolutely perfect home base for a couple going to Crater Lake and two dogs. The yard is fully fenced so the dogs got to play and were completely safe. The property is so quiet and well stocked, we will 1000% stay here again! Also watching the cows across the road while sipping(fresh ground) coffee in the mornings was like icing on a cake. One of my favorite rental houses we’ve ever booked!

Great location and a beautiful home. It's clear many updates have been made to make the place feel modern and cozy. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, and the available flashlights were very useful when we went stargazing. The bed was also very comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. I was surprised when I didn't really want to leave at the end of our trip.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Green House. It is so cozy and welcoming and surrounding area is so picturesque and calming. It was exactly what I needed to wind down and relax. And my son loved running around the backyard and looking at the hundreds of cows grazing just across the street. There is also zero light pollution and clear views of the Milky Way at night, which is something I never get to see back at home. If you are looking for the perfect base camp for exploring Crater Lake or just sitting back and enjoying some peace and quiet this is the place for you!

Great little cabin close to Crater Lake

The Green House was a perfect place for our trip to Crater Lake. You are minutes from the entrance to the park, although it’s about 25-30 minutes to the actual lake (the park’s boundaries are pretty far south). The place was great and had some fun records to listen to and a great sunset. Bed was comfortable. Communication with the owner was good. Please note there isn’t really anyplace close to eat or a grocery store (other than a small (pretty pricey) organic store just down the road). Would recommend stocking up on groceries before you arrive. The place has everything you need to cook. Would definitely recommend for your visit to Crater Lake.

Eclectic charm

Great location for Crater Lake! We stayed 2 nights and found it to be very convenient to the park. From the outside, it's not much to look at - could use some landscaping and paint - but inside is so charming! Directions made it easy to find and easy to access. We just ate a quick breakfast but kitchen seemed to be well stocked with appliances and staples. Would definitely recommend.

Great Location & Stay

Had a wonderful time on the property for our visit to Crater Lake. Home was well equipped with amenities and was close to the park entrance. Would definitely stay again!

This house was such a wonderful place to stay with close access to Crater Lake. It was so comfortable and welcoming with lovely mountain views across the street. I really appreciate how communicative the hosts were. The town experienced power outages due to a nearby fire during my stay, and hosts kept me in the loop about expected timelines and updates as best they could.

Great little place but BAD Water

Everything was great so I hate mentioning that the water out of the tap was bad. I don't know if it was bad ground water seeping into their well or if it was just loaded with minerals but it smelled bad especially coming out of the shower. They did supply bottled water for drinking but there was no warning ahead of time. You have to think ahead about using the bottled water for brushing teeth, dealing with contact lenses, hand washing, etc. If you can deal with that then this place is PERFECT for access to Crater Lake and a comfortable stay! The hosts were great!!! I just needed to know about the water situation ahead of time. Our Lab loved the stay too!

Relieved during power outage

Cute little house just outside Crater Lake NP. Area wide power outage (due to thunderstorm probably), and host communicated the issue, expected restore time, and available lighting options in the house. Power came on 2 hours earlier than expected. Really appreciated the communication from the host.

Great Rural Place Near Crater Lake

The Green House is a comfy little house located in the beautiful, rural, Wood River Valley, less than a 30-minute drive from Crater Lake. Other than staying at the Lodge in the National Park, the tiny community of Ft. Klamath is about as close as you’re going to get, especially for a short-term rental, and there are only a few choices in this area. It’s clearly an older place and not luxurious or modern by any stretch of the imagination but it is charming and homey. The place is “out in the country” so you will hear the well pump turn on, you will smell the cows, there is no manicured lawn or fancy landscaping, no sidewalks, the mud room door doesn’t lock, there are no deadbolts anywhere, and other than the occasional car passing by it is eerily quiet at night. It reminded me of visiting my aunt’s farm when I was a kid and I felt relaxed and nostalgic while staying here. Putting a vinyl record on the turntable and listening to the occasional pops and cracks while the music played also took me back to my youth, but there are also many of the modern comforts you would expect; for example, good Wi-Fi, a microwave, a big refrigerator, and a large flat-screen TV. We enjoyed our stay here and don’t hesitate to recommend it.

Rustic Rural Beauty

Watching the black cattle graze the field across the road as the sun set behind the mountains was an unique experience. The location was great for visiting Crater Lake National Park. We had everything we needed to relax and cook our dinners.

Perfect for Crater Lake!

I'm not sure I could have been much closer to Crater Lake, or more satisfied with my stay! The Green House is so cute and convenient. All the modern necessities are covered, and I was so comfortable. Shower pressure and temp are great, bed is SO cozy, and the privacy is perfect. And it's cute and stylish! Feels like an off the grid boutique hotel, and I'll definitely make it my permanent Crater Lake home away from home. Thanks to the incredible hosts!

In the middle of nowhere

The Green House was fine with all the things we needed for our stay. The location, however, was abysmal. No restaurants or groceries near by. We were tired when we arrived by car and wanted food. Nearest restaurants were in Klamath Falls and we did find a tiny grocery at a motel with totally unreasonable prices ($20 for 1 uncooked chicken breast). For the remote location would not recommend.

Perfect gem in a little town.

Great little stop while traveling. Cute and comfortable. Had all the necessary amenities and host had made expectations clear. Was able to let our dogs outside in the fenced area without worrying about them. We only stayed one night and would recommend this for anyone traveling.

Schooled in Los Angeles, but having spent the Summers in Klamath, I've grown up with both worlds; city and rural. These days my family and I live out here permanently and have settled into the country life. A bit about us, I (Nolan) enjoy working on our properties from the remodeling/contracting side of things, my Mom (MaryAnna) loves to decorate and make sure the kitchens are stocked so that you can cook whatever you can think up, and my Dad (Stephen) is the King of the lawnmowers. He's always out there making sure the yard is perfect: for your dog and for ours as well. He loves our German Shepherd / Pyrenees Mix (Geronimo) even more than me! And our Cats (Cochise, Ishy, Harley, & Miss Bozo) enjoy eating and sleeping. But what we all enjoy the most is when you enjoy yourselves and have a great vacation stay with us. Cheers. -The Napiers

Our location. Being only minutes away from the Entrance to Crater Lake National Park is something few properties can actually say. Most guests have to drive quite far to get to the Park, and by then they are a bit tired. Stay at the Green House and treat yourself to a short commute so you have all the energy you need for enjoying the Park itself.
