Huckleberry Acres is nestled at the bottom of the mountain in Margaretville NY, located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains. Perfect for all outdoor activities including skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and other winter sports! Includes access to 4 kayaks (in season) stored at the Pepacton Reservoir! We have beautiful rock formations in the backyard and gorgeous sunsets visible from our huge 750 square-foot deck in the front yard! At night, you won't believe how many stars there are in the sky! Great for a romantic night of stargazing! You will have the entire house to yourself. Don’t worry, you don’t have to sacrifice technology for nature! We have a strong Internet connection for streaming movies and shows and Wi-Fi calling. It’s just a short 3-minute drive to wonderful restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, cafés, coffee shops, and a full-size grocery store.

We are 10 mins from where the Kayaks are stored at Shavertown Bridge on the Pepacton Reservoir, 15 mins from skiing & snowboarding at Belleayre Mountain, 25 mins from Plattekill Mountain, 47 mins from Hunter Mountain and 49 mins to Windham. To complete your storybook experience, after skiing or hiking, come home and cuddle up to your loved ones with a cup of hot chocolate in front of our gas fireplace!

The luxurious king size log bed, located in the En suite, brings the rustic beauty and serenity of the great outdoors from the outside to the inside! The attached bathroom includes a large vanity and large tiled shower. Also located in the En suite is a comfy chair great for reading or watching TV on the 65 inch Roku TV! All TVs include complimentary Hulu, Disney+ & ESPN+. We also provide tons of DVD’s from a variety of genres. The En suite bedroom and living room both have Blue Ray DVD

Great weekend away

Lovely little house that was a great home base for skiing bellaeyre. Our skiing was limited due to wind closing the lifts, but we were able to enjoy movies on the couch while enjoying pale movie popcorn the hosts left. Highly recommend!

Fall Family Getaway

Great place with plenty of space for three couples. Close to numerous small towns with lots of local shops. The firepit and grill were a plus, got plenty of use from both. The area is quite and tucked away for privacy. Would definitely recommend for a great vacation.

Perfect ski getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was super clean and organized. It had everything our family of 5 needed for a great ski weekend. Close to the supermarket and ski areas. Amazing communication from owners.

New Years Weekend

Shirley and Joe are great hosts and the house is perfect for a getaway. We skied at Belleyare mountain and even received some snow! The family had a blast and we hope to return.

Home away from home

If you would like to stay where you feel at home on vacation, this is the place to be. Everything was perfect. The kitchen had everything you need. The bedrooms were spacious. The house was spotless. We would definitely like to stay here in the future.

This home is so beautiful and clean and bright. It has beautiful views of the mountains. We felt very at home and comfortable. Shirly is a great host, halfway through our stay she checked in on us. She was very thoughtful. If ever in the area, this is the place to stay.

Mountain retreat

Very professionally appointed with coffee, snacks and plenty of towels. Very clean house. We wished there was a mountain view from the front but it was a great stay overall. Nice walking on a quiet country road.

Lovely Catskills stay

Exceeded all expectations from the moment we arrived. Great communication leading up. Blown away by the cleanliness from the get go. Was spending a quiet weekend with friends (and our dog) and we all had a great time. Loved cooking in the kitchen and made great use of the pizza oven and grill. Great location. Supermarket nearby. So much hiking around!!! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Nice Clean House

The house was nice and clean. The bathrooms are nicely updated. The bed in the primary bedroom was way too firm. There is another home on the property that is way too close. When you walk out the front door you see their deck and back door. The other home is maybe 20 feet away from this one. There are 2 sepate firepits on the property. One for each home. Overall we enjoyed our stay, I just wish that other home wasn't so close.

We chose this neighborhood for its charming brook that flows down our street and the delightful town nearby, filled with wonderful restaurants and fun outdoor activities. Additionally, the close proximity to the reservoir allows us to offer our guests a memorable kayaking experience with a stunning mountain backdrop. We are also only a short drive from New York City, which makes it a perfect getaway for those living in that region 😄

What makes our property stand out is its charming interior design, featuring unique touches such as a wine barrel table, a breakfast bar, and a cozy open-concept layout. We also have a beautiful deck with lawn furniture and provide kayaks for our guests to use at no charge on the nearby reservoir. Additionally, guests have access to our 10 acres for hiking, as well as hundreds of beautiful acres of adjacent DEP land.
