Live Oak Lodge, at Wanderin’ Star Farms

Welcome to Live Oak Lodge, a large farmhouse-style retreat at Wanderin’ Star Farms.

Our fun and `porchy` farmhouse barndominium is located on a scenic ranch in Dripping Springs, Tx. The `barndo` sleeps up to 10 guests on 8 beds, has a full kitchen, outdoor fire pit, giant copper bathtub, and plenty of space to relax.

Barndo has an attached fenced corral, closeable breezeway, and a 12x12 horse stall for your pups and/or kiddos to run around in!

The Barndo is a fun place to gather with your family or group with it`s variety of indoor and outdoor spaces. Sleeps up to 10 guests in 4 bedrooms and 8 beds - one king, one queen, one bunk room with 4 twin bunks, and one room with 2 twin bunks. One small bathroom is inside with shower, and one larger bathroom outside (yes, attached to barndo but part of outside cedar porch!) with oversized copper bathtub - true Texas style!

Screened porch, central breezeway side patio with large table, 65` tv, nintendo (old school), and Weber propane grill. Working horse corral for your dogs to run in if you’d like! Relaxing firepit area and swing in a circle of oak trees right outside barn.

This barndominium has been converted from a real, working barn - so it still has some of the rustic signs of animal life around the outside, and a cool, cowboy bunkhouse feel to the inside.

Kitchen has reverse osmosis filtered water (small faucet & water in fridge), full size refrigerator and freezer, stove/oven, microwave, popular cooking vessels and utensils, front loading washer and dryer, Keurig coffee brewer and coffee pods plus all the coffee fixins - french press and water kettle if you happen to bring some coffee to press, and a tea pot + assortment of teas.

*The ground floor does have double steps down between the kitchen/bathroom area and living, and the same between the queen room and living. Also a step up between the king and the adjacent bunk room, so please be aware in terms of accessibility*

** No early check-ins. Our team needs all the time we can get between stays to clean and prepare the space. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY **

Please be aware that our property is dog friendly. While dog owners agree to leash rules, guests should always ask the dog’s human for permission to pet or interact.

Friendly dogs are welcome, fee is $50 per dog for up to one week. Owners of dogs acknowledge that their dog is well behaved & well socialized. Dogs must stay on leash when outside (we have chickens and geese roaming around) and be crated when left alone in the cabin. Please keep pups off of the beds and furniture. Excessive animal impact on the cabin beyond light animal hair will be assessed additional cleaning fees of $50+.

The barn, porch areas, and entire property area no smoking.

No shipping or deliveries of any kind to the property.

Please inquire about use of firepit as it`s only legal when the `burn ban` is off, thanks!

Common areas as well as Barndo firepit area have a 10pm nightly curfew.

Guests are free to mozy around the property which has a great kids area, pavilion (contact us to reserve), large fire ring, and great natural areas to explore. Please don`t venture toward the silver metal shop, and watch for signs helping to steer you the right way, and don`t cross any fences or closed gates. Thanks!

Wanderin` Star Farms is located on Silver Creek Rd, between Dripping Springs and Bee Cave, TX, and has a gated entry. We share the road with Solaro Estate Winery and Prospect House wedding venue. Right around the corner on Fitzhugh to the west is Treaty Oak Distillery with Alice`s Restaurant, Abby Jane`s bakery and coffee shop, and Barton Springs Mill - all on the same property.

At the corner of RR12 & Fitzhugh there`s a little center with Route 12 Filling Station which is awesome for lunch and dinner, and has a splash pad for kids. Next to Route 12 is One Shot Distillery and Dripping Wings food trailer - both great!

Down Fitzhugh to the east a half mile or so is Fitzhugh Brewing and Kitchen - fantastic beers and amazing chef curated menu. Further east on Fitzhugh are Beerburg, Jester King Brewery and Kitchen, and several others. Such a fun area, all places are family friendly! Walking or biking on the roads beyond our little Silver Creek Rd can be tedious and dangerous, so we discourage it because the roads are very narrow and winding. We have the contact information for several local Uber/Lyft drivers with whom you can to pre-schedule rides, happy to pass on their contact!

*The smaller faucet at the kitchen sink is R/O filtered water, great for drinking and cooking.

*Please use vent fan in bathroom during and after showers.

* The barndo, porches, and entire property are NON-SMOKING areas. $100+ charged back if any evidence of smoking is found.

* Only lodging guests are allowed on the property at any given time.

*Quiet hours begin at 9pm, please keep things quieter after this time, especially when on the porch or outside the cabin.

*Please be aware that our property is dog friendly. While dog owners agree to leash rules, guests should always ask the dog’s human for permission to pet or interact.

*Friendly and well trained dogs are welcome, pet fee is $50 per dog for up to 7 days (fee applies again per week after 7 days). 2 Dog maximum, please let us know if you have a second pup and we`ll send a request for the other $50.

*Owners of dogs acknowledge that their dog is well behaved & well socialized. Dogs MUST STAY ON LEASH when outside and be crated when left alone in the cabin. Please keep pups off of the beds and furniture.

* Feel free to explore around the barndo, pavilion, kids area, swings, animals and the `loop` road!

*Do not touch or feed any of the farm animals - they love attention but can`t have any treats.

*Please don`t cross any boundary signs, fences, or gates.

* “No Swimming” allowed in the Creek

*We love kiddos! but please keep them off the steel cables on the porch and the loft, and please watch them on the stairs. Kids need an adult with them if they are venturing away from the immediate area around the cabins.

* Please clean all dishes at check out and place any trash in receptacles.

* PLEASE REMEMBER TO LEAVE THE KEY ON THE COUNTER :)
