Great Beach Spot

Nice, quiet neighborhood, last house on row in a Culde Sac. Easy access to beach and convenient to groceries and other stores and shops. Gave it 4 stars due to some maintenance issues encountered during stay but no major inconvenience.

The ocean views were spectacular, both from inside and out, and the home had everything we needed for a lovely getaway to the beach. It is close to "downtown" IOP, but tucked away from traffic and crowds. A real gem. Would definitely return!

Simply cannot beat the location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pictures don’t do the view justice in my opinion. The dock to beach is shorter than pictures make it seem so beach is closer than I thought which was awesome. House was perfect for family where I could pop back to house to put baby to sleep and didn’t have to haul everything back with me. Quiet beach however you can walk to coconut joes/windjammer and other stuff if you want. House is a little dated with sliding doors not working and leaks in roof however it’s minor stuff and by no means anything that spoiled the trip in anyway. Only recommendation I have is it would be great if house had some beach chairs and some more beach towels.. there is a place you can rent but having it at the house would just be a nice added touch given it’s a beach house. LOVED our stay and will absolutely be back!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was am absolutely awesome house. We have stayed at many houses on Sand Dune Lane, this was by far our favorite. House was ready early on our arrival day and superbly clean. We stay at a lot of rental homes and this is the best stocked house we've ever stayed at! Kitchen was especially well stocked, everything you might need. All the furniture was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the awesome porches! Loved the porch swing and hammock. Rental company was easy to work with. Plenty of room for everyone and an easy walk to the beach. Great location, short walk to shops and restaurants. There, however, was not a pull out sofa,as mentioned on the website, but that did not present a problem for us. Would absolutely rent this house again!

As noted below, I gave the property conditions a "2" as there is significant deferred maintenance on the property. For example, the furniture was dirty with red wine stains, the carpet in the bedrooms looked dirty given the general wear and tear, the toilet paper holders in 2 of the bathrooms were not anchored into the wall, a random screen door is on the porch, etc.

It was clean and set up very well for vacationing by our multigenerational family who loves to beach and cook. All the outdoor spaces including a grass area were well used and appreciated. The ground level bathroom with shower was a delightful and welcome surprise. The only issue we had was the refrigerator that was not cooling properly, so my husband made a service call on Monday (a holiday). They brought a second fridge and it had to be placed in the dining area, blocking part of the views and restricting full access and usability of the dining table. It was a bit of an eyesore in the beautiful main area. They told us they would contact us when a service tech would come out, we never heard back and the fridge in the dining area stayed there the entirety of our visit.

Reviewer Comments: Four couples have been gathering for a weekend together for 37 years( we girls went to college together) and we've rented lots of houses.This IOP house was definitely one of the best.The location is ideal--not a long drive to the north end of the island.The bedding and furniture was comfortable and attractive,and the kitchen was probably the best equipped we've ever seen. The bathrooms were small, but adequate and up to date.We would certainly rent this property again.

It Was Meant to Be.

We have stayed in this home 3 times now and from then to this new remodel is absolutely fantastic. The new kitchen and dining area and the new furnishings on both porches makes it the ideal home. The proximity to the beach. The beauty of the house. But the new remodel of the kitchen is heavenly and had every piece of kitchen equipment that was perfect. I cannot say enough about this house. We have been staying on the IOP and many Beachside Community homes for about 20 plus years. Sometimes we have stayed for months in the winter. This home far surpasses the other homes we have stayed in. We made many memories renting from Island Realty and will make many more in the future.

Beautiful view of ocean with all windows on 2 sides of main room. Very quiet neighborhood. No neighbors on one side. Everything we needed and more. Very clean. Many chairs to relax in, inside and out. We enjoyed the indoor porch in early February. Very comfortable beds. I highly recommend this vacation home!
