An adjoining split-up loft unit with it's own private entrance. Access the living area, bedroom, and custom bathroom via a loft-style ladder. The space also features a kitchenette and washer/dryer, making it ideal for longer stays.
The space
Welcome to the Cuckoo's Nest, a charming loft-style space with its own separate entrance. This newly renovated attic space is perfect for anyone looking for a unique and eclectic experience. You'll love the midcentury meets maximalism décor, with touches of bright academia throughout.

The living quarters include a kitchenette, dining area, living room, bedroom, and full-size bathroom with a washer/dryer. Please note that the upstairs living quarters are accessible only by a loft-style staircase, which may not be suitable for infants, children, pets, or individuals with mobility issues. Additionally, due to its newly renovated attic location, it may not be comfortable for taller individuals (6 feet and over). Only 2 guests permitted per reservation.

Despite being in a split-home, the Cuckoo's Nest offers plenty of privacy and comfort. However, please note that guests should expect for sound to carry similar to that of an apartment or hotel. Complementary earplugs are provided with your stay.

The space is conveniently located by 1-5 freeway, amazing bars and breweries, tons of restaurants, hospitals, hikes and fun activities!

Guests will have access to High Speed WiFi. Perfect for those working from home.

The bedroom is a true oasis, featuring stunning beetle wallpaper. Relax in the plush queen-sized bed. The bedroom also features a dedicated workspace, perfect for business travelers or remote workers. The updated full bathroom has a custom shower, modern toilet, and custom floating vanity.

The kitchenette is equipped with 2-burner stove top, airfryer, mini-fridge with a freezer, microwave, toaster, French press, and electric kettle. All cookware items including utensils, pots, pans, dishes, and some spices are provided for your convenience. The host will also provide coffee, clean towels, toilet paper, paper towels, as well as toiletries such as soap, shampoo, and conditioner. A blow dryer, iron, and ironing board are also available for use.

For those who prefer to pack light, take advantage of the full-size in-unit private washer and dryer. Guests are kindly requested to bring their own laundry detergents. Enjoy a large fenced in backyard (shared space) and free street parking.

Guest access
Guests will enter the space through a private door, located in the backyard, via a keyless smart lock with a unique code to be issued to you day of check-in.

Guests will also have access to free high-speed WiFi, free street parking, outdoor seating and use of the shared fire pit (when burn bans are not in-place).

As our guest at The Cuckoo's Nest, you will have exclusive access to the entire space, which includes a private kitchenette, dining area, cozy living room, spacious bedroom, and a full bathroom. Additionally, you'll have the convenience of your own washer/dryer in the unit. Please note that you will access your unit through the backyard entrance. The backyard is a shared-space that is/can be shared with the guests from the other unit.
Other things to note
The space adjoins another unit seperated via a solid-core interior door in the kitchenette. The door is locked on both sides (with two deadbolts and two security latches) and cannot be opened by the other guest. Despite being in a split-home, the Cuckoo's Nest offers plenty of privacy and comfort. However, please note that guests should expect for sound to carry similar to that of an apartment or hotel. Complementary earplugs are provided with your stay.

There are seven (7) locked storage spaces in the unit that contain house restocking supplies and a utility closet. Guests do not/will not, have access to these storage spaces. Guest will be charged a $100 fee if storage units are tampered with and/or accessed.

Pets:

This space is not suitable for pets of any kind due to the primary upstairs living quarters being accessible via a loft-style ladder. As a result, no pets of any kind are permitted in the unit.

Infants/children/individuals with mobility issue:

This space is not suitable for infants, children, or individuals with mobility issues that would make it difficult to climb a ladder. The loft-style ladder staircase is used to access the upstairs living quarters and may pose a challenge to those with mobility issues. We want all of our guests to have a comfortable and safe stay, so please take this into consideration when booking.

Additionally, due to its newly renovated attic location, it may not be comfortable for taller individuals (6 feet and over).

Picture of driver’s license/government issued ID is required to be provided/verified by VRBO in order for check-in details to be sent.

Personalized check-in code provided for each guest. For added security, check-in codes will only remain active for the duration of each guest’s stay.

Portable AC unit will be installed in the space from late spring through early fall. The portable AC unit will not be installed in the space from early fall through late spring, to free up additional space for guests in the unit.
