Loved this place and you can walk to everything for the most part. The only thing I would say that could be improved is to upgrade the beds & pillows as that would have made it epic!

Awesome Kauai South Shore stay.

What an incredible place. South shore very different than north. Both amazing! The place was spectacular and we fell asleep to the sounds of the breaking waves. Great place to stay!

Great getaway

Beautiful location in walking distance to great beach. Sitting on the lanai listening/watching the ocean was awesome. Unit itself a bit dated but very clean.

Great location but unit needs updating.

We chose Unit 204A for its great location, on a rocky shore with crashing waves and gorgeous views. That did not disappoint! Thankfully we did not spend much time inside the condo -- it needs a kitchen remodel and updated furnishings. Very dated.

Best spot on Kauai

Perfect location. 2 great beaches within walking distance. One has a protected pool where you see turtles every day. Couldn't be closer to the water. We sat on the balcony and ate dinner while watching waves crash every night. Pool is right on a cliff with waves crashing below and turtles swimming in the cove. Maintenance was on top of it. Noticed a few tiles missing on pool backsplash, and a few days later, they had fixed it. You don't need AC!! Just open the windows. Check in and out was so easy. Would stay again.

The View is Out of This World!

My family and I have stayed at a number of places in Kauai, but this has the best view of any. It's not even comparable. The easy walk to Poipu Beach made this condo a perfect choice for my parents (both 72) and me. You can tell it's a rental (no personal touches, no salt & pepper, only one pillow on the bed) but it gets the job done. It hasn't been upgraded in a while (the stove took 17 years to heat up enough to cook the pizzas) but it's all good. We were happy to sit on the lanai and drink wine while we waited. They had very comfy beach towels and great water pressure. Would definitely stay again! But may bring my own pillow next time haha.

Location is stunning!

The views from the back of the condo are nothing short of spectacular! Being LITERALLY right on the ocean is incredible. And sitting by the pool watching the turtles and waves was great! This was a great location for a short drive to restaurants, beaches and anything you wanted to do on the East, South and West sides of the island. We were a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Parking was a bit of challenge, as there are only 12 spots in the lower lot close to the condo. But we managed to park in that lot every night. This condo is in the larger building, not the one shown in the listing. The condo is right across from the elevator and the second bedroom is right there as well, so you do have some foot traffic and noise walking past. This was great for us! We were active and did not spend much relaxing time actually inside the condo, but at the beach and the pool. Overall great stay!

Great location-condo poorly maintained

Great location however condo poorly maintained. Dishwasher broken( note was attached to washer “not working”.. no hot water.. floors extremely dirty.. faucets very difficult to turn on.. screen door constantly coming off track..over all very poorly maintained.. I spoke to office person was told I would get a call from manager…received no call… great view was our saving grace otherwise we would have left..

Poipu shores

Poipu an excellent location to stay in Kauai. Overall, the condo is good, especially the location. It is right on the ocean with a fantastic view. However, the back bedroom can be noisy with people walking past. We stayed in May so the Ocean Breeze and ceiling fan were enough. But know there is not any AC. Also, minimal kitchen stock and no beach supplies except for towels. I don't know if we would stay in this particular condo again but we would definitely stay on Poipu. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay and don't plan to cook much, have your own beach supply, and want to be Ocean Front, this is a great place. A swimmable beach is about a 5 minute easy walk along the shores. The pool is also good with turtles sightings every day.

Large rooms and perfect location!

This property had everything we needed and more with those views! Large living room and large 2 bedroom property with a balcony that seats 5 and then some, overlooking the most amazing water views. The sound of the surf hitting the rocks is like nothing we've ever experienced! Note: I obviously didn't do enough research, but this is not air conditioned, as a lot of Hawaii isn't as I've now learned. But with the window slats open, the breeze from the ocean was perfect. (and this is coming from someone who can be very temperamental in the heat;) ) The location is a quick walk to a gorgeous swimming beach, as well as a body surfing area. Also some great restaurants within short walking distance. Also a short drive to get groceries and such. There are also grills on site which was nice, however we could not figure out how to get the flame higher, so cooking took a little longer, so for planning purposes that might be helpful. Overall, we would rebook here in a heartbeat!

Unbelievable views, waves crashing feet from your room, the best sunsets in Kauai from your deck

We loved this condo! Salt water pool at the oceanfront where turtles are swimming feet away! Sunsets on your deck are gorgeous! The condo is airy and clean. Listening to the waves crashing feet from your bedroom window made this stay magical!

Poipu Shores can't be beat!

Poipu Shores is an amazing property -- we return every year and are never disappointed! This year from the Poipu Shores lawn we saw dolphins leaping and diving -- I've never seen them from there. And of course the turtles are a daily sight that we never get tired of.
