Almost a 5 star, just needs a little love

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very good experience dealing with Brooks and Shorey Resorts. There were some things that could improve the overall stay in condo 502. A few cosmetic changes would enhance the look of the unit. (Fix cracked paint down the wall from a leak in the ac in the past, pillow cases on all pillows, remove paint cans and lamp fixtures from the closets to open up more space for guests. An updated dishwasher (the current one has rust on the inside) and fixing the tiles that are off in the floor of the second bedroom). There was trash under the bed in the second bedroom,Anytime we needed to contact Brooks and Shorey, the issue was fixed quickly and professionally. (There was no broom in the unit and they had one broom up immediately) The freezer had been left open and was completely full of ice and snow, the maintenance man came immediately and fixed everything. The staff made every effort to make our stay great and we would recommend them in the future. We loved having beach chairs and an umbrella everyday, Jacob was phenomenal. The location is quiet and the beach is beautiful. Great food is just a short drive away.

We were 3adults , one teenager and an 8 year old and we never felt cramped. The location was great , down the island a bit from the busy first area , but close enough to activities when we were not on the beach.The condo could use another chair in the living room, but otherwise very comfortable.Parking can be a challenge, but there were always enough spaces.Overall we were very satisfied and had a great time.

There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. The rental itself was very nice and clean. The unit had everything you could possibly need if you chose to stay in and cook. The view was perfect, with seating on the patio. The pool was small but we didn’t use it. We went down to the beach every day. The beach service is a bonus. I will definitely stay there again!

From the king size beds and layout to the simply amazing views from our balcony!!!! Easy check in and check out was so much better for us!!! They also gave us ideas for the best restaurants around town!!! We will definitely book 502 again!!! We've been to alot of places in Florida and this was by far our favorite!!!!

Beautiful Beachfront Condo

We loved having such a large balcony off of the living room and our bedroom. The beach is just beautiful and what a wonderful perk to have two chairs and an umbrella provided every day. We loved being able to quickly walk out to the beach from the condo. The condo was spotless, roomy, comfortable, and convenient to restaurants. We were also impressed with the management company and their communication before, during, and after our stay. We really hope to be able to return to the Palms. Highly recommend.

Palms 502

Spent a week in condo at the Palms on Fort Walton Beach. Would come back in a heartbeat. The beach is fantastic. Management does a wonderful job maintaining and keeping things clean. Condo is a little on the small side but plenty of room for four adults. Patio furniture was a bit overwhelming for the space. Having umbrella and chairs set up for us each day was a huge plus. There was an Amazon echo device in the condo that was very helpful…. Great idea! Check in and check out process is seamless. Had a few hiccups that maintenance took care of quickly. Brooks and Shorey does a good job managing! We will be back!

The bridge to the beach was awesome-not as many steps and the public restroom was probably the best that I have ever seen at a condo unit. The garage is quite steep though and parking is very tight, our Tundra would not fit into the provided spot.

One dining room chair was broken, the legs on the secretary in master were broken, a drawer in front b/r dresser was broken, and the tv’s were small. Return air vent was rusty, and master b/r closet was a construction storage area. Hooks near front door would be nice. Knives were dull, no baking sheets or trays to carry food to/from bbq grills, no storage room in pantry, and very few food storage containers. My mom fell b/c last step of walk to the beach was so tall. Told maintenance worker, but nothing was done.

A bit disappointed with the place for the very first time!

We had issues with the toilet running continuously and stubbed our toe on a piece of the floor that was breaking loose. We've been staying with Brooks And Shorey for years and this was definitely not our favorite experience, it was very misleading with the pictures and the televisions were very very small. Hopefully our next experience will be better but we appreciate all of you.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was not up to typical B&S standards. The pool was broke, no place to clean off after visiting the beach. The inside was clean but again the rooms were dated. There were paint cans and other building materials piled in the master bedroom closet. It just seemed to lack general upkeep and maintenance. Both toilets ran continually if not manually closed after each use. If I don’t think we’ll rent this condo again.

This property was not well maintained. The furniture and rugs were dirty and very worn. The refrigerator freezer shelves were damaged and rusting. The property management company, Brooks and Shorey, was excellent. We had to move out of the property because of flooding from pipes above the unit and Brooks and Shorey worked hard to locate another place for us to stay. A big thank you to them!

It look like our our unit was run down. Felt a little dirty....carpet needs clean. Some fresh paint. Honestly, we will probably not book there again.
