Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: The house was clean and had everything imaginable that you would need at the beach. Multiple grills, beach toys, plenty of dishes/pots and pans, & even a crock pot. Love that there was no huge sand dune to climb to get to the beach, just a short walk to the water. Views from all windows & decks simply amazing. Cons: Kitchen layout was odd with the fridge blocking the walkway when open & filter needed changed. Couch had many stains and the pull out bed smelled too bad to use. Internet was basically non-existent at no fault of the property management (outages in the area). Main floor rooms have to share a shower/bathtub.

The house was perfect for our trip. Owners thought of everything. Well stocked kitchen, games, beach accessories, books, fans and comfortable bedding. The deck/screen porch had great seating options & we loved setting up our telescope on the top deck! Wonderful. vacation house. We will stay again!

Weekend Getaway/Anniversary Weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was just as the pictures showed. Very relaxing weekend and beautiful views. We did experience some sporadic thunderstorms but we made the best of it. The property managers, who live nearby, were very interactive with us during our stay and very friendly. They even provided updates on weather coming our way. For coffee they do provide a drip coffee maker and a Keurig in the pantry but bring your own pods. There is also a little coffee shop very close named Selah's that offers coffee, smoothies, bagels and more. There are several Restaurants in the area: Sassy Bass Amazin grill is very close to this property. If going into Gulf Shores try Mikee's Seafood and for a sweet treat try Matts Ice Cream in Gulf Shores. The best location to see the sunset is Tacky Jacks, if not eating there you can still watch the sunset from the marina dock or the back of Tacky Jacks. We would definitely stay again, hopefully during a time when the weather was better and we could enjoy the beach a little more.

On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, I would give this property 1 star.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, the house temp. was warm. I attempted to lower the temp and was unsuccessful. Contacted the property mngr, suggested the temp. control box was locked, she disagreed only to find out the temp. was locked and is remotely controlled by the owner. The door opening onto deck did not lock from the outside, so we had to exit and enter from the front of house, which was an inconvenience. One of the two upstairs shower heads did not work. Linens, throw pillows, ottoman and furniture cushions were dirty, and stained. Pet friendly should not equal dirty especially when paying more than $3,200 for 4 nights. There is evidence of two leaks in the celling- over MBR bed and hallway. The ceiling over the MBR bed is still untouched, with peeling paint and a stain. Lastly, I left behind a pair of earrings. For $25.00 plus postage the earrings were returned to me in a manila envelope, wrapped in a paper towel and inside of a Ziplock bag. I did report our dissatisfaction with the condition of the house to the property mngr., on our last day. Of course I received the necessary, "if you would have told me, we could have made repairs", to which I replied, the house should have been in proper condition for the incoming renter and those issues should have been addressed without the renter having to report such blatant areas of need. Not to mention that during a 5 day stay, who wants service people in and out of a house that again, caters to renters. I would NEVER recommend this property to anyone. There is a very nice property next to this house, beautiful, clean, prepared, etc... our friends truly enjoyed the house, and we will look at it for next year. Huge disappointment to spend a family holiday in such an expensive property, presented as though the property was equal to the price, only to find out it wasn't.

Alabama Dreaming is a dream

It’s was so comfortable for our group of 6 and a baby. Plenty of room for everyone to have time alone or gather around the table for game night. Spectacular views! The screened in/open deck is such a great feature. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Communication with host was flawless!We’re already looking at 2025 dates!Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Beach front property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our trip was great. My family and I love the area, so we’ll definitely be back for our 6th trip soon. Quick rundown on what I liked about the place. - Beach front property is gorgeous weather it’s day or night. - Nice deck with a great screened porch for outside dinners.- Had plenty of beach items to use (toys, umbrellas, chairs, etc.). We did take our own, which we locked in the same beach storage with all the other items. - Outdoor shower - I’ll always rent a place with this feature. It’s great. - The master bedroom has a door that opens to the porch, so it’s great for late night wave sounds. - Kitchen seemed to have all we needed. - My kids loved the extra little small deck upstairs. - Very clean and the couch was roomy was late night Halloween movies.There is only one small con, which only bothered me a couple days. - The house is right next to a beach access for all the house behind you. During busy times of the year, I assume you can expect some close company on the beach. Just get out early to stake your place for the day... most people do not setup in front of the house.... We had a few folks pretty close for a few days. I’m normally accustomed to no access near the house, so it was a small change for me. If you’re a very social person or want kids around for your own little ones, the place will be great for you. If you want a little more privacy, the company that manages this home has others down the way. I stayed in one last year and loved it. Again, not a deal breaker. I’d still recommend the property.

Clean and Cozy Home on he beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was very nice and mostly clean and had a beautiful view of the beach. The screened in porch was perfect for avoiding bugs at dusk. The water is very close to the unit so its only a minute or two walk to get to the water. Kitchen had plenty of utensils for cooking, although many things were dirty and required a good wash before using them. Beds and couch were comfortable as well. The only downsides were that this unit is right next to the beach access for others further inland, so we were having to compete for space in front of the house. Food options nearby are scarce and requires a 20+ minute drive into town.

Only downside to this location is that public beach access is both sides of home and no one enforces breaking down of beach setups at night. Even the Fort Morgan rental company setup 3 tents directly in front of the home.

Reviewer Comments: This was an amazing house that we had our family vacation on this year with both of our moms, uncle and kids. There were tons of seats and things to use in the downstairs storage and we also left a couple of umbrellas. The only thing I would suggest is maybe putting a sign up on that second Landing of the deck facing the beach designating that area as privately owned with the house rental. We would go down very early in the morning and set up all of our chairs to mark our spot otherwise people going down that walkway on the side would set up camp directly in front of the house. There was only one incident when a very large group of a family with a big tent went down and tried to set up just a couple of feet directly in front of our chairs and I went down and addressed it with him and they moved over although they work not very nice about it. I contacted the property management company prior to saying anything and they said they would be willing to go talk to them if we needed to. The property management company was always very responsive and wonderful. The afternoon of the last day we did have a new family we had not seen that parked in our driveway even though there were private property signs of and walked through our deck and use our walkway instead of the public one. We told them it was no big deal as we were leaving the next day but showed them where the public walkway was and they were very kind about it and appreciative. That wonderful deck and screened in porch area alone as well worth renting this property!

A Dream Come True!

The local property manager, Dee Dee, was incredibly helpful, friendly, and prompt in answering any questions we had. Having a local property manager who lives in the community where our rental was located made the entire process so much easier. The rental house had everything you needed. It was organized, clean and very cozy but had plenty of room for our family of 6 to spread out. We cannot recommend Coastal View Vacations enough. What a great experience! We will definitely use them again.

Will definitely stay here again next year. Suggestion for improvement would be to wash the bed spreads, especially if dogs had stayed before.
