Parking is off road and plenty of room for vehicles and boat trailer. If you arrive in an RV, parking for it too, Located 2 miles from Thunderbolt, 10 minutes to downtown Savannah and about the same to Tybee Island's beautiful ocean beach. This property offers something for everyone. Mr Bill was an excellent host! Always available by phone and very accommodating! Will definitely be staying again! Great fishing from the dock and was able to bring my 24' boat for docking. Richardson Creek is large and deep enough to access from the major waterways in the area, also loaded with reds and trout if you fish from the property's dock.

Adams family vacation

The owners Bill, Emma, and shotgun was very nice. Since we was right next door wish we would of chatted a bit more. Saw the dolphins go by each morning. Saw a leg less lizard in drive way. So much wild life. My husband fished off the dock and got a few fish. The property was close to everything. We didnt stay at property much as we did boat tours, going out to eat, and site seeing in our short stay.Thanks for having us.

The house was outstanding! Bill and Emma are great hosts. We unfortunately had a family issue and had to cut our trip short, but we will be back with the boat. The location is perfect, it is so peaceful and the house has plenty of space for all of us. Spending time on the dock is a very peaceful place to watch the sunrise and sunset.

Couldn’t Have Been More Perfect

I rented the house so my husband could have a night away from all of his work as a pastor and spend some time with his fraternity brothers. It was absolutely perfect. The property, the view, the landscaping was all beautiful (he sent me pictures). He’s now trying to decide when he wants to go back!

Perfect Weekend On The Marsh

We had the best time here! The owners are so kind and very friendly. Our daughter and dog loved the dock. The views are great, neighborhood is safe, and the house is so beautiful. Loved reading all the guests comments in the guest book on things to do in the area. Highly recommend this VRBO and we will hopefully return soon! Thank you

Perfect Coastal Georgia Getaway - with a Dock!

We stayed here for a week and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and really well-appointed — exactly what you want when you’re looking to relax without any hassle. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, and the outdoor gas grill worked great.The location couldn’t have been better — peaceful and tucked away, but still a quick and easy drive to both Tybee Island and Savannah. You really get the best of both worlds: beach days, city exploring, and quiet evenings on the water.The dock was a major highlight. It was perfect for my little Gheenoe, but could easily handle a bigger bay boat or center console too. We loved taking evening wine cruises up and down the creek — it was the best way to wind down after a day out.Bill and Emma (and their dog Shotgun) were fantastic hosts. Sometimes having a host next door can be tricky, but they were absolutely wonderful — super friendly, offered to have a beer with us, but also totally respected our privacy. Our dog Cooper and Shotgun became best friends right away, running and playing through the yards. Real Southern hospitality at its best.If you’re looking for a relaxed, comfortable spot with great access to both Tybee and Savannah — and especially if you want to get out on the water — this is the place. We’d definitely stay here again.

Whitemarsh Island getaway

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bill and Emma’s (and their dog Shotgun’s) house on the river on Whitemarsh Island, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the river that create a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The house itself is beautifully designed, blending modern comforts with a cozy, old southern, inviting feel. The spacious layout made it perfect for relaxing and entertaining, and the pier and dock was a highlight, allowing us to enjoy fishing while soaking in the natural beauty around us. Bill and Emma were fantastic hosts, providing thoughtful touches and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Charming Savannah Retreat with Everything You Need!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely rental perfectly situated between downtown Savannah and Tybee Island. The location is ideal for exploring both the city and the coast, making it the best of both worlds.The house itself is full of charm, with beautiful furniture and decor that made it feel like home the moment I walked in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was well-appointed with everything I needed to cook.One of my favorite features was the long dock walkway—an absolute dream for fishing enthusiasts. I spent hours fishing for redfish and speckled sea trout, which was such a treat. The riverview room was another highlight, offering a serene space perfect for reading, writing, or creating art.The property is also dog-friendly, with plenty of space for my pups to run around. While it’s not fully fenced, the open area and dog-friendly neighbors made it perfect for our stay.The hosts, Bill and Emma, were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always available if I needed anything. Their hospitality truly made the experience even more special.I can’t recommend this rental enough and am already looking forward to my next stay! If you’re looking for a relaxing, well-equipped retreat in the Savannah area, this is the place to be!

Cute house along the water

This house was perfect for our family of 5 and our two dogs, plus an extra guest for a night. Great location between downtown Savannah and Tybee Island so we could enjoy both almost everyday. There is a dock on the property and a boat ramp not too far away so my husband and son could spend every morning (and some afternoons or evenings) on the water. The owners live next door, greeted us when we arrived and were always available to help with whatever we needed. It was a great week!

Amazing House on the water

The house and hosts were amazing. The hosts made check in a breeze and if we needed anything they were there immediately to help. Their local knowledge was great insight in where to go while we were on our trip. We will be back.

Beautiful property on Whitemarsh island. Bill and Emma were wonderful neighbors can’t wait to go back. They made sure we had all the comforts of home. Doggies loved meeting new friends! Lovely appointed home. Owners (in neighboring property) were very nice and accommodating. Owner doesn't text and has older phone, so communication was delayed at the beginning. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend in future.

A great spot - bring your boat.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Bill and Emma's house. The home itself is very comfortable - plenty of room for folks to spread out. Lots of outdoor space as well. Convenient location to just about anything you need. We primarliy picked this rental for the water access. What a great location. Richardson creek is very quiet - very little boat traffic..but with easy to access larger waterways. Boat ramp was less than 3 miles away..and Bill offered to help us get our boat int he water - which was much appreciated. We navigated to downtown Savannah - there is public dock with 3 free hours of docking...we easily navigated down to little tybee island and enjoyed the expansive low tide there - and many other spots. A really great spot for Boaters.. Bill and Emma are very nice and hospitable people. We fully enjoyed our time and hope to return.

As a long time, and current resident of this coastal neighborhood I have fished the waters inshore and offshore for over 40 yrs. Savannah history and culture, captured me as a young man . I enjoy all Savannah offers and get great pleasure seeing people enjoy the experience. The cottage built in 1941, is among the 1st in this neighborhood which was originally a fishing camp community. This is a Vacation property for people who enjoy fishing, the sights, sounds, history and wildlife activity. of the coast.

Wake up each morning to the spectacular river and marsh. Watching boats go by, fisherman heading out, or coming back. People fishing from their docks,crabbing, or casting for shrimp. The property is just minutes from Historic Savannah, National Parks Tybee Island's ocean beach. Historic sites, fine golf courses, tennis, and many other sites of interest.
